**Key Responsibilities**

* Meets daily with project crews to review production schedule and confirm all materials, equipment and resources are readily available for production to continue on schedule and within budget.
* Partake in safety toolbox talks, daily tailboard meetings, risk assessment evaluations and weekly safety inspections.
* Collects, coordinates and analysis shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data through the duration of the project to ensure quality and contract specification compliance.
* Provides technical input for project work plan and scheduling. Identifying risk elements of production, materials, equipment or process that could negatively impact the budget or schedule.
* Evaluates daily production, schedule and budget projections to accurately track project performance. Documents daily activities in Company approved methods and technologies.
* Notifies team members and manager of any significant schedule changes and recommends solutions for management consideration.
* Perform additional assignments per management’s direction.
* Remits accurate project quantity input and controls using assigned project cost coding to ensure project financials are accurately reported. Manages cost coding with Company finance and accounting teams regarding employee time, materials, equipment and subcontractor needs.
* Reviews project specifications for quality assurance at the beginning of work, during the project work and after work completes. Initiates and manages appropriate certificates, inspections and other documentation regarding construction production on the project site.
* Works with construction crews and engineering leaders to plan field layout on the project site, ensuring appropriate utility and commercial lines are marked before production begins. Initiates and manages any permits needed before work can begin.
* Coordinates subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews as needed.
* Responsible for evaluating progress draws for subcontractor work performed and change orders as situations arise.
* Reconciles job close-out checklist with owner representative and field crews at the end of the project.
* Take ownership of Certificate(s) of Completion related to designated scopes.
* Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.



**Required Knowledge and Experience**

* Post-secondary school education in Civil Engineering or Construction Management disciplines; or acceptable combination of education and previous experience.
* A minimum of 3-5 years working as a Field Engineer or Project Coordinator, ideally in project engineering or heavy civil construction environment.
* Knowledge of construction equipment & techniques, drawing & specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to the project.
* Proficient in software related to the construction industry (e.g. Primavera Scheduling software, AutoCAD, SAP etc.).
* Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
* Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral.
* Flexibility to work in both field and office.
* Design build project experience would be advantageous.



The expected pay range for this position is $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per annum

Job Title: Field Engineer

Reporting directly to the Field Engineering Manager, the Field Engineer will provide on site technical support, working closely with the construction team, contractors and the liaison between the field and the home office teams. The individual will be part of a team to ensuring the engineering design is being properly interpreted and installed at site.

The Field Engineer will collaborate closely with contractors, interpret drawings and specifications for field crews, and provide inputs into detailed work plans and packages. Additionally, duties may include managing material orders and deliveries and working closely with the completions and turnover teams.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Engineering and Technical Support

  • Provide field engineering support, working closely with the site construction team, contractors, and home office teams to ensure smooth coordination.

  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and survey data to support construction activities.

  • Draft and issue Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify design or construction details.

  • Collaborate with contractors and the Engineer of Record (EOR) to resolve technical issues that may arise during execution.

Project Coordination and Planning

  • Conduct and participate in construction and engineering meetings to align teams and address challenges.

  • Provide input for forecasting, planning, and scheduling to keep the project on track.

  • Monitor and report on construction progress, highlighting risks and potential delays.

Quality, Safety, and Compliance

Reporting and Documentation

Work Location & Conditions

This is a site-based camp job at Eskay Creek Mine site. This position involves working at a remote mine site on a 15 days on/13 days off rotation.

The Eskay Creek Revitalization Project is located within the Coast Mountains of Northwestern British Columbia and Tahltan Territory. Ground transportation will be provided from local communities to the Eskay Creek Site facilities. For those applicants located elsewhere in western Canada, flight transportation from major urban centers will be provided to the Terrace or Smithers airports, from which shuttles will provide transportation to the Eskay Creek Camp facilities. Travel time and expenses are subject to Skeena’s Travel Policy.

There will be exposure to extreme temperatures in all seasons including working outdoors in snow, mud, ice, and water conditions, walking to and from different locations on uneven ground, prolonged periods of standing and physically handling/lifting/moving heavy objects.

Compensation

# Qualifications:

* Assists with the development of the project schedule and tracking of project milestones and deliverables; inputs and updates schedule throughout the project and reviews with Project Manager/Superintendent

Qualifications:

* 2+ years of relevant work experience in any discipline related to construction such as Oil and Gas
* Professional Engineering, Technology designation or Journeyperson certification is an asset
* Able to read and understand construction documents
* Strong computer background including experience with Microsoft Office and scheduling software, such as Primavera. Experience with other construction planning and management software is an asset (3D model viewers, document management systems, etc.)
* Strong communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts in verbal and written form
* Knowledge of main construction office processes: project set up; subcontract management; change management; RFIs (request for information) and technical reviews; project closeout.
* Ability to identify problems/issues and generates solutions and makes sound decisions using standard procedures

Compensation

$66,400 - $91,300 annually

The Role

Our distributed identity business is growing quickly and we are building an A-Team of Sales Engineers to be the primary technical resource for our sales and partner teams. Our SEs engage prospects and partners where they have the greatest need and meet that need with relevant content, education, and confident technical architectural advice.

This role is based in our Toronto, Ontario Canada office and you are expected to be in the office 4-5 days a week.

  • Manage all technical aspects of the sales process.

  • Understanding of enterprise identity infrastructure and core security concerns of cloud and on-premises environments
  • Solid experience with HTTP, Web application architectures, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with JavaScript, GoLang, Linux, networking, web and app servers

The Electrical Field Engineer is responsible for supervising and communicating the progress of electrical work for wind turbines. They ensure compliance with standards, plan and organize site activities with the coordinator, and act as a liaison between the various project stakeholders. They monitor work progress, prepare monitoring reports, participate in site meetings and quality inspections, while respecting deadlines and the allocated project budget. This role is carried out on-site, full-time. 
Haute Chaudière Wind Farm  is part of Quebec's energy transition, which aims to increase the province's wind power production capacity. It consists of 20 wind turbines with a combined capacity of 120 MW. This clean, renewable energy source will be integrated into Hydro-Québec's transmission and distribution network. 
The wind farm is located on private and public lands, in a forested area in the territories of the municipalities of Frontenac, Audet and the Town of Lac-Mégantic in the MRC du Granit.

  • Identify quality issues and deviations points in the overall quality and environmental quality,

  • Stop any activity that contravenes the materials quality or environmental restriction, 
  • Supervise the process of solving a problem until it is completely resolved, 
  • Write non-compliances reports, when necessary, 
  • Support the project members in the implementation of the Quality Plan, 
  • Ensure the validity of documents related to the quality and monitors them, 
  • Conduct independent inspections in accordance with the Execution Procedures and ITP’s, 
  • Ensure that those responsible for the quality inspections of subcontractor’s work do their job and makes

Position Summary:

Act as a Product Safety Field Engineer for TÜV SÜD America, inspect, test, and photograph products for conformity assessment using international and national regulations with deliverables to clients being Certificates, Test Reports, and/or Technical Reports as quoted. Providing engineering expertise and operational support for Product Safety Testing.

Full time exempt position for TÜV SÜD America Inc., Product Service division.

This position is an on-site and field-work position with opportunities for hybrid based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

- Perform field evaluations and inspections in accordance with required performance standards and requirements.

- Analyze and evaluate test results against applicable requirements.

- Perform Safety testing per requirements detailed in Safety standards and test procedures in a laboratory or client site environment when needed. Review test plans and specifications prior to test.

- Prepare technical reports and other documentation for customer products to the appropriate standards.

- Generate revenue by billing engineering time to TÜV SÜD America customers, usually on a project basis (Constructional Review, Testing, Preliminary Evaluations and Certification activities).

- Ensure that all test documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner and is ready to be incorporated into a test report.

- Maintain knowledge of proper operational procedures of all test equipment and assure proper calibration and functioning of all test equipment.

- Make certain that standard lab operating procedures are followed including, but not limited to, test documentation, equipment storage, test area clean-up and test area sign out.

- Participate in customer “kick-off” meetings to ensure the customer and lab are fully aware of the test plan and samples are properly configured for the testing in question

- Prepare and review test reports and provide constructive feedback to other personnel to increase the overall quality of the final product

- Keep abreast of the latest design theory, including detailed theoretical knowledge in relevant technical areas, stay up to date with current product standards, test procedures, instrumentation, and technology by participating in internal training sessions, attending external seminars, and reading technical articles

- Ensure that the test areas and equipment are in good condition and ready to perform the tests required by the customer. Examine the requirements of each test scheduled, to avoid conflicts or shortcomings regarding equipment, test areas and personnel qualifications.

- Actively work as part of the regional product safety team in preparation and hosting audits (internal/external).

- Promote a positive work environment, through improved communication, improved lab organization, and positive reinforcement for a job well done.  To reach a level whereby the positive attitudes of our employees will feed on one another, improving customer satisfaction for both our internal and external customers.

- Provide engineering expertise to TÜV SÜD America clients during mitigation to ensure product compliance with international Safety requirements.

- Collaborate with the Technical Support team in association with the Account Executives providing time estimates for testing and other technical support for Safety projects, including the support to customers regarding the application of standards, test procedures, and certification requirements.

- Communicate in a courteous and effective manner with internal and external customers in all circumstances including providing technical feedback for quotes, answering questions, relaying messages and providing information regarding standards, test procedures, to bring product into compliance with requirements.  Maintain confidentiality of customers, products tested and appropriate internal information

Qualification

Education & Experience:

- BS in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

- Minimum three (2) years Product Safety or field evaluation experience

- Previous experience using consumer product safety standards; Medical Standards being a plus. 

- Understanding and previous experience with ISO 17025, CRM and SAP platforms is to be preferred.

- Accurate, clear, and timely communicate of information, upward and lateral, including verbal, written and listening skills.

- Driver’s license, willingness to travel to test sites within Canada or abroad

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment;

- Demonstrated, excellent oral and written communication skills;

- Self-starter with a positive outlook and motivated attitude;

- Ability to plan and organize giving attention to detail and follow-through.
