ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a forward-thinking Engineering Lead to head our Electrical Interference Effects team within our Consulting group. In this role, you would lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians to deliver cutting-edge studies on electrical interferences across critical infrastructure - pipelines, railroads, substations, and transmission systems. You would oversee modeling and analysis for AC/DC interference, EMI/EMF, and grounding systems, while also managing project timelines, budgets, and client relationships. Your expertise will shape the direction of our consulting services, and your voice will be heard at industry conferences and in strategic business development efforts. Occasional travel (up to 20%) across Canada will give you the opportunity to see your work in action and collaborate directly with clients and colleagues.

Required Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of relevant experience leading interference studies for oil and gas pipelines, electrical powerlines and substations, HVDC systems, railways, and other related infrastructure.
• Proficiency with SES CDEGS software suite, specifically Hi-Freq and/or ROW modules.
• Communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Field experience with soil resistivity testing, fall of potential measurements, and electrical grounding assessments.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations including IEEE Std 80, 81, 2746, NACE/AMPP, CSA OCC-1-2013, and PHMSA 49, CFR 192 and 195.
• SES Level 1 or NACE CP certification.
• Professional licensure as a P.Eng (Canada) and/or P.E. (U.S.)

The Engineering Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes across both facilities in Toronto, ON and Winchester, TN. This position involves developing a deep understanding of our production methods, machinery, tooling, and materials. The Engineering Manager will lead initiatives for process improvement, material science, research & development, tool design, and maintenance, ensuring we deliver high-quality products efficiently

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manufacturing Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in all manufacturing processes and the associated equipment and tooling used in rubber gasket production.

· Process Optimization: Analyse and optimize manufacturing processes, production flow, and end-to-end material handling to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

· Tool Design & Maintenance: Oversee tool design and maintenance, ensuring that all tooling meets production requirements and is maintained in optimal condition.

· Material Expertise: Gain in-depth knowledge of the materials used in our manufacturing processes and lead R&D initiatives in collaboration with the Product Innovation team.

· Plant Turnaround: Play a key role in the plant turnaround in Toronto, redesigning fundamental processes, implementing knowledge management, and reporting systems.

· Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team that includes a Process Specialist and Tooling Developer, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely and manage relationships with other departments to ensure alignment on engineering initiatives and product development.

Requirements

Education & Certificates

· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology

· Professional Engineer Certification is beneficial but not mandatory

Technical Skill & Knowledge:

· 5 to 7 Years of Experience in Engineering Management, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment

· Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and problem-solving techniques.

· Expertise in use of mechanical design software such as CAD or Solidworks

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing a team.
