**Job Description:**
Parsons is seeking for an entry level CAD Technologist in their Markham office in Ontario to join the civil infrastructure group to be part of team working on projects of Roadways, Bridges, Transitways, Municipal and/or County arterial roads, side streets, multi-use pathways, parking facilities etc.
**ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Drafting of Electrical layouts, Single Line Wiring Schematics in AUTOCAD and MicroStation
+ Be part of electrical project team and attend project meetings
+ Generate one-line diagrams, traffic signal wiring diagrams, roadway lighting wiring diagrams and electrical details
+ Coordinate on site with electrical contractor and Performs field inspections and provides professional field support as necessary during construction phases.
**PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:**
+ 3 or 2-year Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma and preferably 1 year of related work experience. _(Experience is desired but not mandatory, On Job training provided to fresh out of school Technologist)_
+ Proficient in the utilization of current electrical engineering theories and practices.
**SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:**
+ Potential to perform in an engineering team, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are desired.
+ Strong background in AutoCAD, MicroStation and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is desired.

**Key Qualifications:**

+ Demonstrated experience (typically 1-3+ years) in leading, mentoring, or technically guiding other engineers or team members.

**What are your contributions to the team?**
+ Design mechanical installations for experimental systems on flight test aircraft, wind tunnel models, and the required installations to conduct various system and structural tests during the development of new aircraft or in support of in-service aircraft.

- Ability to balance hands-on technical contributions with leadership responsibilities.
- Broad and extensive engineering and administrative experience.
- Must be able to obtain Security Clearance
- You will have exceptional communication skills (client relations, team project communications, and proposal and report development).

This position supports the Research & Development/ Technical Innovation department in brand maintenance, quality improvement, innovation, and productivity initiatives to help the company consistently deliver high quality food products.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Exhibit and protect Riverside's Core Values
- Collect & analyze data to baseline of current operations of existing food products. Institute new analytical tests if necessary
- Run trials in collaboration with Senior Food Scientist on different formulations or processing conditions. Determine whether the trials have been successful based on the analytics. Recommend next steps.
- Lead shelf life studies & improve existing shelf life program
- Maintain organization of the R&D lab. Keep lab stocked, tidy, and write SOPs as necessary to support good operation of the lab.
- Produce product prototypes in lab for sensory evaluation
- Work in conjunction with other R&D Scientists and Production to commercialize new equipment and products.
- Assist in R&D projects to improve productivity, quality, & consistency; engage all stakeholders throughout project

Job responsibilities:
- Apply Cost Competitive Execution techniques to develop the most cost-effective total project solution for execution of the discipline engineering work
- Develop and review specifications, including design criteria
- Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting
- Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve problems of moderate or complex engineering problems. Should be able to demonstrate basic understanding of structural behavior and design principles.
- Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
- Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
- Indicate strong technical interests and background with structural engineering subjects such as design of large structural steel and concrete structures including heavy foundations, seismic engineering, and dynamic analysis of structures supporting vibrating equipment.
- Capable to undertake structural engineering work related to resource project development and construction, in one or more of the following areas:
- Performing hand and computer calculations for foundations, concrete, and steel structures
- Analyzing complex structures ,
- Wind and seismic loading in structural calculations (structural)
- Dynamic analysis and design (structural)
- Computer modeling and analysis (structural)
- Procurement and construction aspects of engineering
- Vendor drawing review, intergroup review - squad checking
- Engineering and fabricator drawing checking
- Managing and leading a small project
**Basic Job Requirements**
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of work-related relevant experience .
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
