The HVAC Engineering Advisor is responsible for addressing the needs of the engineering community by comprehensively understanding, designing, and specifying components, systems, and solutions for their customers. Strong communication skills, a high level of self-motivation, and a continuous eagerness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Compensation for this position with salary and bonus is in the $130,000-$150,000 range

Primary Duties

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, with a particular emphasis on the engineering community in the Lower Mainland.
  • Establish and maintain a visible presence within the engineering sector, ensuring that products are specified or recognized as an equivalent on all relevant projects.
  • Assess client needs and deliver tailored technical solutions that align with their design intent and satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry standards, local codes, regulations, and market trends to ensure compliance and capitalize on potential opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, adhering to a "Customer First" approach in all business dealings.
  • Continuously improve knowledge by attending manufacturer training sessions and factory visits, ensuring up-to-date expertise in products and software tools.
  • Develop lasting customer relationships by maintaining open and transparent communication to build trust and loyalty.
  • Gain proficiency in both mechanical and air-side products, identifying cross-selling opportunities for other product lines.
  • Join ASHRAE and participate in monthly meetings to stay connected with industry developments.
  • Conduct Lunch and Learn sessions or similar presentations when needed.
  • Assist in planning and executing the introduction of new products to the market.
  • Attend all relevant divisional and office meetings.
  • Represent the company at industry events, including SMACNA, MCA, and VRCA, as required.
  • Support customer-focused events, such as open houses, sporting events, and lunches, when necessary
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, with a strong expertise in HVAC systems.
  • A University degree or College diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in the field, is required.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PEng) designation is considered a valuable asset.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting Architectural and Mechanical drawings.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including verbal, listening, and written presentation abilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Highly self-motivated, creative, and resourceful in problem-solving.

Primary Duties

  • Develop and maintain relationships with all industry stakeholders (Engineers, Architects, Contractors, Developers, Owners etc.),

  • Be a member of ASHRAE and attend monthly ASHRAE meetings.
  • Carry out Lunch and Learn (or similar) presentations when requested to do so.
  • Assist with planning and implementing new product introductions to the market.
  • Attend all divisional and office meetings
  • Attend any industry related events as required. (SMACNA, MCA, VRCA)
  • Assist in all customer events as required. This could be open houses, sporting events, lunches, etc.

Primary Duties

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience of Mechanical Engineering with strong knowledge of HVAC systems

In this exciting Pre-Sales role, you will work between Evertz clients, Account Managers, R&D Engineers, Solutions Architects, and Executive Management to demonstrate the features and capabilities of  Evertz’ end-to-end Software Defined Video Networking (SDVN) solutions for broadcast and media facilities.

As a member of the R&D team, you will be challenged with configuring, commissioning, and systematically trouble shooting Ethernet/IP networks for the cutting edge of high technology broadcast networks and video processing equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with Solutions Architects and the Account Management Team to define the scope of the demonstration (demo) or proof of concept (POC) that will be done during the pre-sales phase of an opportunity
  • Understand competitive offerings and position Evertz solutions to take maximum advantage of key differentiators and be able to present that confidently to our customers
  • Have the opportunity to lead interoperability testing with 3rd party equipment
  • Attend and prepare equipment for Tradeshows Worldwide to showcase Evertz IP solutions
  • Travel as required to client sites to present demo/POC system to client
  • Report bugs or gaps to R&D as identified during system configurations
  • Preparation of detailed operations manual including system configurations, workflows, power consumption, rack elevations etc.
  • Work with R&D by testing Evertz products in order to gain standards certifications
  • Staying informed of latest industry trends and competitors' solutions
  • Utilize programming/scripting (C++, Java, Python, Perl, JavaScript, shell)
  • Utilize tools such as Wireshark, Python, sFlow, tcpdump etc
  • Engage in design, documentation, deployment planning on the build out of both small and large scale IP Networks supporting broadcast infrastructures

Qualifications:

  • Positive outlook and high energy

Overview
The Marketing Technology Solutions team at Mastercard is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain data and analytics solutions that support Mastercard's B2B marketing initiatives. This role is key in building the data environment and integrations that will power advanced omni-channel marketing campaigns. As part of a small, collaborative team, you will work with large-scale data sets to unlock the value of big data across the global marketing team.

Role:
- Build and lead a team based in Toronto, Canada to build Mastercard's global marketing data platform to enable real time analytics and customer segmentation.
- Drive the evolution of data-driven marketing at Mastercard with a strong emphasis on data engineering and data science, ensuring impactful advancements in data quality, scalability, and efficiency.
- Develop and fine-tune methods and algorithms to generate precise, high-quality data at scale, including the creation and maintenance of feature stores, analytical stores and curated datasets for enhanced data integrity and usability.
- Solve complex data challenges involving multi-layered data sets though the building of data pipelines, libraries, and frameworks.
- Provide support for deployed data applications and analytical models, identifying data issues and guiding resolutions.
- Ensure proper data governance policies are followed by implementing or validating data lineage, quality checks, classification, etc.
- Integrate diverse data sources, including real-time, streaming, batch, and API-based data, to enrich platform insights and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Experiment with new tools to streamline the development, testing, deployment, and running of our data pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine priority problems and innovative solutions.
- Develop and enforce best practices for data engineering, including coding standards, code reviews, and documentation.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

- Experience in building and deploying production-level data-driven applications and data processing workflows/pipelines and/or implementing machine learning systems at scale using Java, Scala, or Python. This includes all phases such as data ingestion, feature engineering, modeling, tuning, evaluating, monitoring, and presenting analytics.
- Experience in developing integrated cloud applications such as Databricks and AWS.

**Manufacturing Engineering Manager - Fuel Handling and Engineered Solutions**
BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada (NEC) is seeking an experienced and driven Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our Fuel Handling and Engineered Solutions (FHES) Manufacturing Enigneering team in Peterborough, Ontario.
As a global leader in the design, manufacture, testing, and service of specialized equipment for on-power refueling, reactor maintenance, and nuclear medicine delivery, the FHES team is at the forefront of solving some of the nuclear industry's most complex challenges. Reporting to the Vice President of Fuel Handling and Engineered Solutions, the Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for the execution of the manufacturing business and resources of the Fuel Handling and Engineered Services (FHES) group, and consultation of the Precision Manufacturing, Inc. (PMI) Oakville operations.
This leadership role oversees a team of 20-30 employees based in Peterborough, with a dotted-line connection to a team in Oakville. The successful candidate will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broader company objectives-integrating and developing processes that meet operational needs, addressing complex challenges, and contributing to long-term strategic planning. This position plays a key role in aligning manufacturing operations with company goals while fostering collaboration across teams and locations.
**Accountabilities:**
+ Ultimate accountability for manufacturing operations including execution, estimating and customer escalation.
+ Lead, develop and manage a team of manufacturing engineers, planners and specialists to execute large, multi-disciplinary design/build and build-to-print manufacturing projects.
+ Responsible for cost, schedule and quality performance of manufacturing/supply scope.
+ Responsible for all aspects of recruiting, training, performance management, capacity, long term strategy and succession planning for the Manufacturing Engineering Team.
+ Lead the preparation of estimates for all manufacturing work including cost, schedule, cash flow forecasts. Coordinate the associated inputs from quality and shop operations.

+ Interface with customers for strategic bids and assume the role of Project Sponsor for all large manufacturing projects.
+ Conduct facility tours for key suppliers and customers.
+ Execute the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements.
+ Identify and execute continuous improvement projects within the manufacturing business.
+ Identify and execute manufacturing infrastructure projects to develop manufacturing capabilities and technology. Prepare Approval of Capital Expenditure (ACE) requests, review and approve ACE's.
+ Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to manufacturing problems. Lead multidisciplinary teams to solve manufacturing and supply problems.
+ Provide cross functional technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams and mentor others in the organization.
+ Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and tasks consistent with engineering and quality policies and procedures.
+ Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program review.
+ Prepare detailed short and long-term budgets and financial and CAPEX forecasts.
+ Develop, review and approve Manufacturing policies, procedures and work instructions.
+ Lead special projects as directed by the business, which may cover technical advances in producibility / capability studies.
+ Effectively integrate new concepts that can aid in the assignment of both equipment hardware and software as related to computer build technology, advanced process capability and material handling concepts.
+ Recommend approach to meet the technical and program requirements.
+ Communicate with Design, Quality, Production, and Project Management on technical state of each assigned program on a periodic basis.
**Knowledge and Experience:**
+ BS or MS in Engineering, Licensed by PEO.
+ Prefered 10+ years' experience in Nuclear, Aerospace, Transportation, or other highly regulated and process based design.
+ 10 years experience in manufacturing with proven success in a technical leadership role.
+ Significant experience with project schedule and financial metrics and other project management methodologies.
+ Knowledge and experience with machining (conventional +CNC/CAM), fitting/welding, assembly and materials including stainless steels, Al-bronze, nickel alloys, zirconium, etc.
+ Knowledge or experience with metrology, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T), blue print reading.
+ Demonstrated ability in project planning / execution, including development of processes / procedures and process improvements.
+ Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
**Desired Characteristics:**
+ Basic knowledge of common non-destructive examination (NDE) techniques.
+ Experience working with ASME Code rules for identification and traceability of materials, manufacturing processes, testing etc.
+ Experience with manufacturing of instrumentation and control equipment, PLC systems, cable assemblies, panels, industrial automation. Familiar with wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, instrument calibration.
+ Technical writing experience including procedures, customer proposals, technical reports.
+ Experience in cost-estimating multi-disciplined equipment and facility projects.
+ Experience with Primavera (P6) project scheduling software.
