As the Engineering Manager at Cryopak Canada, you will oversee the development and competitiveness of our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will lead a team in optimizing processes, machinery, production, cost, safety, and quality. This role is crucial in ensuring the success of our plant operations and engineering projects.
- Manage a team by delegating tasks, providing mentorship, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Be hands-on in researching and implementing engineering solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency.

The desired candidate must be constantly on the lookout for innovative solutions, and have the ability to discuss his or her vision of the project in terms of schedule, methods and work costs.
More specifically :
You will analyze plans and specifications.
You will participate in the development of methods.
You will validate quantities.

- Determine Production capacity (Manpower, equipment.)
- Produce daily production schedule (Chart)
- Participate in analyzing and establishing the production standard time.
- Establish detailed value stream mapping.
- Establish and organize workcenter considering human and material flow.
- Support the operations by helping and solving their day-to-day issues.
**How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience :**
- You have Bachelor's / Technical' s degree in Industrial Engineering and/or continuous improvement, as well as five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in a related field.
- You have proven experience & advanced skills in project management and team work leadership
- You have strong communication skills at all levels
- You have advanced knowledge of continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing the concepts
- You have fluency in French written and spoken
- You have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project)
- You have strong skills in priority management and last minute request
- You have awareness of the new trends in manufacturing field and continuous improvement.
- You are bilingual (French and English)

**What are your contributions to the team?**
+ Interpret engineering documents and conduct technical investigations, analyze facts and develop the most cost-effective solution in a timely manner.
+ Support daily production and delivery activities.
+ Understand and solve problems related to structure and systems' installation and provide technical support in answering Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) raised by Quality Agents.
+ Participate in projects that will increase our productivity, reduce waste and improve our financial performance.
+ Work closely with other teams such as Systems, Stress, Thermodynamic, Material & Processes, Propulsion, Environmental Control Systems, Logistics, Methods, Quality. and Operations to achieve the organization's business objectives.
+ Participate in the Operational Excellence methodology of operation.
+ To assist in training of new junior Liaison Engineering personnel.
+ To ensure the conformity of repair schemes and dispositions with Engineering requirements and specifications.
**How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:**
+ You hold a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent) in a recognized University or a Technical degree in Aerospace.
+ You have a minimum of 12 (twelve) years of experience as an Engineer or at least 15 (fifteen) years as a Technologist.
+ You have very good knowledge of the aircraft structure & system.
+ You have Material Review Board (MRB) accreditation and have held it for a minimum of 10 (ten) years.
+ You have Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) accreditation.
+ You possess good CATIA skills & are familiar with Microsoft Office software tools.
+ You have Strong communication skills, ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
+ You are available for weekend work on rotating schedule.
+ You have a good level of written and speaking French and English
+ You have good organizational & planning skills
+ You possess good judgment and are a good team worker in a multidisciplinary team
