At our Montreal office, under the supervision of the Chief Estimator, you will be called upon to participate in the complete bidding process for projects in Quebec and Ontario.

The desired candidate must be constantly on the lookout for innovative solutions, and have the ability to discuss his or her vision of the project in terms of schedule, methods and work costs.

More specifically :

You will analyze plans and specifications.
You will participate in the development of methods.
You will validate quantities.
You will sometimes work alone and sometimes as part of a team, depending on the scope of the projects submitted and the deadlines to be met.
You will draw up a list of suppliers and subcontractors and issue invitations.
You'll talk to suppliers and subcontractors.
You may be required to travel to tender visits.
You will draw up the work schedule.
You will establish costs in the estimating software.
You will participate in bid closings.

Qualifications and skills required:

Hold one of the following qualifications: bachelor's degree in civil engineering, civil engineering technician, estimating technician, surveying training or have completed equivalent studies.
At least 5 years' experience in construction site work combined with a representative portion in estimating.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of the Autodesk suite is an asset.
Knowledge of TPL software is an asset.
Intermediate to advanced level of English is an asset.

**What are your contributions to the team?**
+ Act as the Cabinet Engineering focal with between Bombardier multi-disciplinary teams and suppliers.
+ Prepare different types of Engineering documentation to support start of design activities.
+ Define technical requirements and participate in strategic planning.
+ Help supplier to understand and follow BA processes and best practices.
+ Find & propose opportunities for product & process improvement (cycle time reduction, ease of production, weight reduction etc.)
+ Review specifications for accuracy across documentations
+ Be mindful of project potential technical issues (critical designs, risks etc.)
+ Support Program Change Requests (PCR). Coordinate technical integration meetings, analyze, and define technical proposals to meet program needs.
+ Participate in aircrafts go & see in production to assess build or installation issues.
+ Communicate efficiently with colleagues, cross functional teams, and upper management.
+ Validate certification documents as required to ensure design comply with regulations.
+ Act as a technical leader and transfer knowledge through coaching/mentoring within your larger team.
**How to thrive in this role?**
+ You have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
+ You have more than 10 years relevant technical experience in aircraft interiors completions. Cabinet experience is an asset.
+ You have solid experience with Catia/Enovia and Teamcenter/NX (GSD, Assy, Part Body, Drafting, etc.)
+ You are well organized and focused on projects.
+ You have the ability to understand complex engineering issues and are innovative in problem solving.
+ You have good oral and written communication skills in French and English.

+ Take part in the integration of the flight control, hydraulic and/or landing gear system for the definition, specification, design, analysis, modification, test and certification of hydro-mechanical systems

+ You hold a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent) in a recognized University or a Technical degree in Aerospace.
+ You have a minimum of 12 (twelve) years of experience as an Engineer or at least 15 (fifteen) years as a Technologist.
+ You have very good knowledge of the aircraft structure & system.
+ You have Material Review Board (MRB) accreditation and have held it for a minimum of 10 (ten) years.
+ You have Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) accreditation.
+ You possess good CATIA skills & are familiar with Microsoft Office software tools.
+ You have Strong communication skills, ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
+ You are available for weekend work on rotating schedule.
+ You have a good level of written and speaking French and English
+ You have good organizational & planning skills
+ You possess good judgment and are a good team worker in a multidisciplinary team
