**Location**
This position will begin based out of our Burnaby, BC office, reporting to the Senior Environmental Manger.
**Responsibilities**
You will be responsible for coordinating environmental permitting, reports, and technical documentation, as well as managing tasks and mentoring/leading junior staff and other team members in the delivery of environmental products.
+ Support in the review and develop the environmental aspects (e.g., scheduling, estimates, risk assessment, etc.) for proposals and project delivery.
+ Assist in the delivery of environmental SOP's for proposals and projects.
+ Provide guidance and support to less experienced staff on technical and professional issues.
+ Collaborate and assist in developing implementation of strategies and risk assessments for delivering environmental components of projects.
+ Inform scheduling and estimating teams regarding environmental permitting requirements.
+ Assist in the preparation of scope, schedule, and budget for new projects and providing technical responses to RFPs with related information and requirements.
+ Review documents that meet requirements for environmental approvals or re-evaluations, permit applications and permit amendments, environmental management plans and other required environmental submittals.
+ Collaborate with infrastructure planning, engineering, urban design/landscaping, project design management and other disciplines.
+ Assist with quality reviews of deliverables to client requirements to ensure high-quality products are being produced on time and on budget.
**Qualifications**
+ Over 10 years of experience in increasingly complex environmental regulatory planning and design roles, specifically within the infrastructure and transportation sector, including projects related to highways, bridges, ports, and other large infrastructure projects
+ Undergraduate degree in an environmental science, environmental engineering or related field.
+ Must be registered, or immediately eligible for registration, as a RPBio with the College of Applied Biology in British Columbia
+ Background in fisheries and aquatics is an asset.
+ Strong working knowledge of Provincial and Federal environmental legislation.

**Qualifications**
+ Undergraduate degree in construction engineering, construction management or a related degree or comparable work experience.
+ Licensed Professional Engineer in US/Canada preferred.
+ 10+ years' experience in all aspects of managing commercial construction projects with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
+ Minimum 8+ years' of progressive work and project experience and thorough understanding of the following, but not limited to;
+ Infrastructure system design, construction, testing and commissioning
+ Understanding and experience in Requirements Management Principles and processes applied in Infrastructure Design and construction
+ Demonstrable understanding of the Configuration and Change Management Principles
+ Knowledgeable in standards such as AREMA, MIL-STD, IEEE and EN
+ Demonstrable knowledge, understanding and use in HELIX ALM, DOORS, JAMA or similar Requirement Management Tools
+ Engineering Concepts, including Design, Verification & Validation, and System
+ Basic to intermediate understanding of other systems and subsystems associated with infrastructure projects.
+ Membership with active participation in professional organizations such as AREMA or APTA is desirable.
+ Proven track record of managing teams, setting performance goals, and delivering timely results in a fast-paced environment.
+ Work independently as well as part of a team
+ Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done
+ Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
+ Effective oral and written communication skills
+ Strong organization/time management skills

+ INCOSE Certification is preferred
+ Understanding of construction means and methods, including familiarity with industry standards, practices, and regulations is required.

We are currently seeking an experienced and team-oriented Design Engineer to join the Land Development team. The Design Engineer is responsible for the design and preparation of drawings and technical reports using strong technical skills, experience, innovation and engineering judgement to transform projects from concept design into drawings and detailed specifications.
Responsibilities
·Review and evaluate background project information using engineering skills and critical thinking process.
·Perform engineering design and analysis (storm and sanitary design, water distribution system design, storm water management facility modeling and design, road design, grading design, subdivision design, site design etc.) and convey design information to CAD staff for preparation of engineering drawings.
·Technical report preparation.
·Complete design calculations based on engineering principles, meeting applicable regulatory codes and standards.
·Communicate with project managers, clients and consultants to ensure design will work within the overall scope of the project.
·Participate in project team meetings and coordinate with team members to ensure efficient project delivery.
·Other related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
·Degree in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering (Masters degree will be considered an asset).
·5-10+ years’ experience (preferably in a consulting firm).
·Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.).
·Knowledge of engineering principals, applicable government technical standards and legislative regulations.
·Excellent attention to detail and sound independent judgment and decision-making skills.
·Excellent technical report writing skills, verbal and written communication skills with colleagues and clients, and a “team player” approach to design and problem solving is required.
