**Location**

**Responsibilities**
Serve as the Requirements Manager for Infrastructure projects in the conceptual, preliminary, and final design for complex infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
+ Work with a team in providing systems engineering & integration requirements responsibilities and oversight for infrastructure projects involving multiple systems and sub systems.
+ Responsible for managing all requirement management activities using either Helix ALM, IBM Doors Suite of tools, JAMA Connect or similar.
+ Deployment and application of Kiewit standard processes and tools
+ Requirement Management tool deployment according to project / customer requirements
+ Training and support process and tools for the project team
+ Owner of the Requirements Management Plan and Requirements Traceability Matrix demonstrating the solution compliancy to contract requirements through requirement traceability through all phases of the project life cycle

**Qualifications**
+ Undergraduate degree in construction engineering, construction management or a related degree or comparable work experience.

**Responsibilities**
+ Develop drawings and calculations for temporary works and construction methods including:
+ Heavy lift plans (site logistics, equipment selection, design of custom rigging and lifting devices, hoisting and jacking systems, custom tools, and crane pad designs)
+ Erection procedures or planned sequences related to construction or demolition operations
+ Evaluation of existing structures for construction loads and/or demolition planning
+ Structural analysis to ensure stability during the temporary condition of new bridges, viaducts, buildings, tunnels, and other structures (for example: construction staging, design of temporary falsework systems, and rebar cage hoisting and support)
+ Support of excavation systems or cofferdams for construction below grade
+ Temporary bridges, trestles, work platforms, fall protection systems, formwork, and other features relating to our construction operations

Under the project and construction manager's direction, the Shift Engineer is responsible for construction work preparation including construction planning, document preparation, and submission field supervision of sub-contractors and workforce.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily tunnel construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project schedules.
- Coordinating between various on-site teams (contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants) to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Tracking daily progress, preparing accurate site reports, and communicating updates to project management and stakeholders using STRABAG inhouse software and databases (IRIS)

Join TYLin's fast-paced and collaborative Transportation team in the GTA as a Civil Engineer - Roads & Highways, where your hands-on design expertise will directly shape major infrastructure projects across Ontario. **Responsibilities & Qualifications**
+ Develop roadway geometric design, grading, and plan/profile drawings for highway and municipal roadway projects across Ontario.
+ Support the production of contract documents, including design plans, calculations, quantities, specifications, and cost estimates.
+ Prepare design submissions at various stages (Preliminary Design, Detail Design, and Tender Package) in compliance with MTO and municipal standards.
+ Coordinate with internal disciplines (e.g., drainage, structural, traffic) to ensure design integration and consistency.
+ Assist in responding to design comments from clients and stakeholders and revising deliverables accordingly.
+ Participate in field reviews, site assessments, and design coordination meetings.
+ Maintain quality and accuracy across all deliverables and adhere to project schedules and budgets.
+ Provide guidance and technical support to junior designers and EITs as needed.
**What You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; P.Eng. in Ontario or eligibility for licensure.
+ 5-10 years of experience in roadway/highway design with a strong focus on production work for public sector transportation clients.
+ Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer (ORD); experience with InRoads or Civil 3D is an asset.
+ Familiarity with MTO standards, including the Highway Design Manual, Engineering Drafting Guidelines, and Contract Preparation Manual.
+ Strong technical skills in developing design drawings and documentation from concept through to final tender.
