Duties and responsibilities
Solution Design & Strategy:
- Lead the architectural design and development of complex, enterprise-level solutions leveraging our new integration platform, existing product suite, and third-party technologies.
- Translate high-level business requirements and customer challenges into detailed technical architectures, including data flow diagrams, system integrations, and infrastructure requirements.
- Develop and maintain solution blueprints, reference architectures, and best practices for our integrated solutions.
- Developing detailed implementation plans that align with the customer's corporate governance, data policies, IT security protocols, and data residency regulations.
Customer & Pre-Sales Engagement:
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and prospects during the pre-sales process.
- Conduct deep-dive technical discovery sessions to understand customer environments, pain points, and business goals.
- Create and deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations that highlight the value of our integrated solutions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and present solution proposals and statements of work (SOWs).
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Partner with product management and engineering to provide feedback from the field, influencing the product roadmap for both the platform and our core products.
- Work with professional services to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Mentor and guide junior architects, technical consultants, and other team members on architectural principles and solution design.
Industry & Technology Expertise:
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in enterprise architecture, SaaS, and API-led integration.
- Provide thought leadership internally and externally through white papers, blog posts, and conference presentations.
External Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical expert for customers, demonstrating a deep understanding of our software products and how they can be used to solve real-world problems.
- Conduct technical discovery sessions with a diverse group of customer stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and understand their strategic goals.
- Design and present tailored solution architectures that leverage our platform's APIs and potential third-party integrations, ensuring alignment with the customer's technical environment and business objectives.
- Develop comprehensive implementation plans that address customer security, governance, and data residency policies, providing clear roadmaps for successful project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer IT personnel, data managers, developers, and executives to foster trust and ensure long-term partnership success.

Internal Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales and account management teams to provide technical guidance and support throughout the sales cycle.
- Communicate customer feedback and new requirements to the product management team to influence the product roadmap and drive future development.
- Work with the marketing team to develop technical content, case studies, and presentations that highlight successful customer solutions.
- Act as a bridge between customer-facing teams and product teams, ensuring a cohesive and well-informed approach to product development and customer support.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise software, with at least 5 years in a Solutions Architect or similar role.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering complex, multi-system integration solutions for large enterprise clients.
- Deep expertise in enterprise architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture, service-oriented architecture).
- Strong understanding of API design principles (REST, GraphQL) and integration platforms (e.g., Mulesoft, Boomi, TIBCO, or custom-built platforms).
- Experience with a variety of technologies and platforms, including:
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Database technologies (SQL, NoSQL)
- Security protocols (OAuth, SAML, JWT)
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Working conditions

The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). Additionally, you should have:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Experience in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud strategies.
- Familiar with MS Fabric integrations.
- Strong leadership ability in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Valid Class G driver’s licence.

Our client, an award-winning vehicle manufacturer utilizing deep technology and AI, is looking for a Business Solutions Architect to help support the company's growth.
Position Overview
As the Business Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for the architectural design, development, and deployment of the company's overall business systems. Define system solutions based on needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, and platforms.
Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Understanding business requirements and an architecture to meet those requirements: You must work across various functions within the company to understand near and long term needs to create an architecture to meet the needs of the business.
- Identifying, assessing, and selecting business systems: You must be able to identify and evaluate the risk to eliminate or mitigate risks.
- Knowledge of software development process and technical skills: You must know the technical aspects of projects to identify risks, propose immediate solutions and provide guidance for the computer system solutions.
- Communication skills: To communicate with all stakeholders such as software engineers, colleagues, and vendors, you must be able to convey technical language to other stakeholders often in non-technical terms.
- Project management skills: To manage and train staff for software projects and computer architecture projects in a team environment.
- Organizational and time management skills: To keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Broad knowledge: Of computer software, hardware, and computer languages. ERP Systems, APIs, B2B communication protocols, patterns and a strong preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or similar education.
- 10+ years of related experience.
- Ability to research, identify, select, and tests technology products required for solution delivery.
- Ability to establish, implement, and document the technology integration or migration strategies.
- Ability to stay on top of related industry trends and new technologies.
- Ability to assess and recommend build vs buy scenarios in terms of ROI and total value delivered.
- Knowledge on SAP and systems that integrate with SAP is preferred.
- Experience with business systems supporting multi-disciplines and processes is a real plus.
- Work autonomously and be a self-starter. Self-motivated and performance oriented.
- Travel may be required.
