The Network Administrator willbe responsible forthe design, maintenance, monitoring, performance, and administration of our LAN/WAN infrastructure. As a member of our ITOperations team,you will ensure that network connectivity at our facilities meet uptime and QoS standards as well as ensure that our network infrastructure is prepared for future growth and scalability.

Responsibilities

• In-depth knowledge of administration, installation and replacement of network hardware(switches, routers, firewalls)(Cisco, Aruba, HP)
• Proven record of network administration in successfully designing, maintaining and troubleshooting within the last 5 years.
• Proactivelymonitoroverall network performance toidentifytrends in usage and service across theorganization and recommend improvements when applicable

• Assess current infrastructure capabilities including identification of service issues,gapsand risk to business operations

• Preparationand maintenanceofnetwork architecturedocumentation

• Define, document, and enforce network systems & standards including network security policies and network access monitoring and controls

• Oversee data centre networking and operations, including troubleshooting issues

• Responsibilities include supporting multiple locations (Ottawa & Belleville)

• Monitor performance, security, andcapacity
  utilizationto ensure that they are meeting business needs (apply best practice framework / policies).

• Take charge of change escalated Service Desk requests, problem solving and incidents response.

• Frequently be available support any plannedsupport/maintenance/emergency outages to support outside of normal office hours.

• Foster a collaborative team environment and ensure effective communication within the team and with other departments.

• Manage patching & security compliance of network devices and firewalls.

• Administer VPN, certificates & DNS

• Create templates and baseline configurations for network devices

• Manage backup & recovery of network configurations, and ensure high availability configurations arevalidatedto support business continuity;participatein disaster recovery testing

• Support PCI DSS audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Work with vendors and NHL officials to ensure the Leagues network connectivity are met.

• Administer VPN.

• Review, troubleshoot, andmaintainPalo Alto firewalls & policies

• Support connectivity to digital displays and arena time-keeping appliances.

• Secondary support for Microsoft 365 applications Exchange online, MS Teams phone, and other applications (when primary support resources are not available)

• Secondary boardroom conferencing solution support / troubleshooting (when primary support resources are not available)

• On-call support24/7

Professional Credentials you Posses

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.

• CCNP, CCIP or equivalent certification

Skills and Experience You Posses

• 5 or more years ofdemonstratedexperience in network administration, design, deployment, and security.

• Designing, installing, monitoring, securing, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN including high-availability design, switching, routing, load balancing, firewalls, SAN, VLAN, VPN/SDWAN, WAP, and cabling/patching

• Working in a NOC whichmonitorsand troubleshoots network performance (uptime, QoS) with tools such asWireshark, CACI, MRTG, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.

• Familiarity with open-source network security and enterprise monitoring tools such Snort, Suricata, Zeek/Bro, Sysmon, ELK, etc.

• Proficiencyin troubleshootinglarge multi-tier multi-segmented networks in a complex WAN environment

• Segregating networks to improve security and performance.

• Developing,
  maintainingand testing
  an enterprisenetwork disaster recovery plan

• Provisioning andmaintainingvirtual servers(VMware and Hyper V)

• Patching and backup of network appliances and firewalls

• Patching and backup of servers and client devices

• Deploying andmaintaining
  desktop voice systems(VoIP, SIP trunking)

• Windows Server installation, configuration, and maintenance

Careica Health provides sleep and respiratory care through a network of clinics and inhome services. Our teams depend on reliable, secure connectivity across multiple sites and a modern cloud stack to deliver patientfirst care, every time.

The Opportunity

Were looking for aSenior Network & M365 Platform Administrator to strengthen our network reliability, security, and performance across a multisite environment. You will engineer and operate site networks, internet egress, and cloud connectivity - while advancing zerotrust/SASE controls and our disaster recovery posture. Youll collaborate closely with our existing senior network talent and trusted partners to keep clinicians and contact centers online and protected.

Periodic travel to key clinics will be required.

What youll do

• Own network reliability for multisite clinics and officesacross provinces: routing/switching, site cutovers, Wi-Fi, and WAN optimization.
• Lead secure internet egress and SASEoperations and rollout (policy, posture, troubleshooting, user experience), and mature our zerotrust program.
• Engineer and administer SharePoint Online: tenantlevel settings, site provisioning standards, hub architecture, permissions model, lifecycle, and external sharing governance - integrated with Entra/Conditional Access and M365 Admin baselines.
• Mentor junior admins in their execution of projects and help develop their administration capabilities.
• Administer and evolve network infrastructure:
  (policy design, HA, segmentation, upgrades, cloud connectivity, and vendor coordination) with a focus on security and simplification.
• Harden Microsoft 365/Entra access from a network perspective:(Conditional Access interactions, device posture signals, secure admin access paths).
• Collaborate with IT leadership to cocreate and manage the annual IT budget, providing input on network, cloud, security, and collaboration investments to align with business priorities and growth plans.
• Administer and maintain the onpremises virtualized environment:(VMware/HyperV): monitor performance, manage networking integration, patch hosts, and ensure alignment with DR and security standards.
• Contribute to DR and business continuity planning:(network dependencies, runbooks, testing, and recovery patterns).
• Partner with trusted vendors/consultantsto accelerate outcomes while maintaining Careica standards and knowledge transfer.

• Plan and lead technical projects by collaborating with business stakeholders, developing comprehensive project and rollback plans, coordinating cross-functional teams, and providing clear communication on progress, risks, and outcomes.

• Provide tier2 escalation:drive rootcause analysis and preventive improvements.

What youll bring (Musthave)

• 8+ years in enterprise networking withmultisiteoperations and change leadership including:
  • Project management (project planning, communication plans, risk registers, rollback planning)
  • Executive-targeted communication (high quality, speaking their language)
  • Microsoft 365/Entra administration (Conditional Access interactions, device trust, identitydriven policies).
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with front-line clinical staff, management, and vendors.
