As Warehouse Associate you will be responsible for assisting in the distribution area with picking, packing, shipping, powered equipment operation, and receiving with a safety mindset.
+ Help with warehouse functions such as receiving/ put away, order picking, packing, and shipping.· Pick via RF scanners with orders from rack pick slots· Other duties include assistance with inventory counting and general housekeeping within the warehouse· Pack orders on conveyor belts· Use wrap machine and labeling of packed/wrapped orders· Required participation in EHS activities including JHSC and worker representation· Use powered equipment for various job duties
+ **What you will need** · High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required· License to operate Raymond reach trucks narrow aisle, pallet jacks and powered walkies required.· We would require a class 2 licence (order picker)· Fall arrest certification.· Previous picking or packing experience in a warehouse/distribution environment with RF scanners· PC literate with AS400 and hand-held scanner experience· Ability to lift 50lbs by hand and mandatory to operate manual equipment· Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, twist and crouch for long periods of time· Ability to work weekends and have shift flexibility to meet the demands of the business.· Assist in other areas as needed.

Gillfor Distribution Edmonton has an existing vacancy for a Warehouse Worker / Material Handler. As part of our Lumber Yard team at our Edmonton Distribution Centre, you will work in a team environment reporting directly to our Shipping Supervisor. You will be responsible for efficiently and accurately assembling customer orders, serving customers in the yard, maintaining the presentation and organization of warehouse materials. This is a full-time position at our Edmonton location.
Expectations:
- Loading and unloading of building materials in a safe and timely manner
- Periodic inventory counts (quarterly) and spot checks
- Assist in keeping a tidy and organized lumber yard and warehouse
- Compliance to all work safety rules and regulations
- Politeness to customers and truck drivers who are picking up or dropping off orders
- Serve customers as they enter the yard following process and protocols
- Prepare, pick and pack customer orders as required
Ideal Attributes:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of two years lumber yard and/or warehouse experience is a definite asset
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds

SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Delivery Driver ensures that the warehouse department is always performing in an effective and efficient manner, minding the Italian Centre Shop Ltd.’s policies and procedures for all actions and decisions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prioritize providing exceptional customer service to deliver a positive customer experience thereby cultivating a positive reputation for the company and fostering customer loyalty
- Adhering to shipping and receiving policies/procedures.
- Receiving merchandise and ensuring the shipment content matches invoices and orders.
- Picking, packing, sealing, and labelling products to prepare for shipping.
- Stocking shelves with received shipments, using the appropriate sorting and organization system and equipment.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements, including wearing steel toe boots and high-visibility clothing.
- Responsible for performing shipper and receiver duties when not engaged in driving tasks.
- Working collaboratively as a team and assisting other teams when required.
- Reviewing and verifying invoices and purchase requests to ensure accuracy.
- Establishing and maintaining outstanding relations with customers.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited school system or program is preferred.
Experience
- A minimum of two years' experience in a warehouse role is preferred.
- A minimum of three years' experience in a professional driver role.
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driving abstract.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent listening skills and communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Ability to work under pressure while always maintaining a professional image.
- Working independently with little direct supervision.
- Having a well-balanced concern for both tasks and people.
- Having a genuine concern for the needs of customers.
