Field Operators are responsible for operating pumps to transfer biosolids from tankers to field storage equipment. This involves offloading trailers within the designated time frame through precise pump operations, equipment maintenance, compliance with regulations, and effective communication within the land application team.

About the Role
As a Field Operator, you will:
- Operate pumps to transfer biosolids from tanker trailers to land application equipment;
- Manage the flow of biosolids to ensure controlled and efficient transfer;
- Effectively communicate with supervisors, drivers, and management staff, providing information on biosolids application, equipment breakdowns, and addressing concerns with the land application team;
- Conduct regular maintenance on application equipment, including pumps, hoses, and spreading mechanisms;
- Inspect and address issues promptly to prevent breakdowns during biosolids application.
About You
- 1-3 years of experience in the agriculture industry preferred;
- Experience operating and maintaining tractors/heavy equipment is an asset;
- Valid G or G2 license with a clean abstract;
- Safety certifications, such as Working at Heights and CPR are considered an asset;
- IT literate, able to understand, record and manage data across different software platforms;
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, work may include 12+ hour days and out of town work.

Reporting to the Senior Production Foreman, the successful candidate will operate gas compressors, condensate stabilization facilities, high pressure multi well pads and plunger lift systems. The schedule is 8 days on, 6 days off and applicants must be willing to be on-call while on shift and reside in Rocky Mountain House or surrounding areas.

Maintenance Technician - Food MfgShift: 8 to 12 hours rotationalWe are seeking a mechanically skilled individual who can work on maintaining plant systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshooting, and repairing any issues which may arise during production, restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts. Equipment used in this food processing facility includes industrial, electromechanical, and hydraulic equipment as well as pumps and conveying systems.
The Maintenance Mechanic must be able to troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, generators, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, packaging machines, VFDs, PLCs, etc…
Other duties include.
- Inspect and examine machinery (conveyors, packers, seasoners, sensors, PLCs, VFDs, etc.) to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Perform maintenance tasks according to work orders (cleaning, lubrication, etc.)
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
- Perform good troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment break downs.
- Has a pro-active mindset; finds solutions to different problems and complexities.
- Can adapt and learn quickly to problems. Can operate in a high-pressure environment.
- Perform daily maintenance and repairs needed in the production area.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:
- Post-Secondary Education in a mechanical trade.
- 4+ years' experience as a field service technician or field repair technician in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong proven skills in automation and troubleshooting.
- Good judgement and decision-making skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to use hand and power tools.
- Must be able to work a rotating shift as well as some extended hours and weekends.
- Welding will be considered an asset.
Work Environment
The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This job is performed in a shop environment: hazardous materials; greasy, slippery factory floors.
