KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provides leadership to construction teams
- Acts as a mentor and provides support to all members of the installation team to ensure further growth and development of the company’s employees
- Champions the company’s safety and quality programs

- Works with the Scheduler to advise the Sales department on gaps in the installation schedule so that these gaps can be filled with projects
- Effectively manages all available resources to minimize downtime
- Actively works to mitigate company costs, including travel costs, overtime, equipment downtime, maintenance, housekeeping, safety, quality, etc.
- Supervises and manages all third-party service activity coordinating work activity with project requirements.
- Solicits ideas from install crew members with regard to cost saving measures, equipment improvements and sales opportunities
- Evaluates each installation project from start to finish with a view to minimizing variable costs attributable to the project and/or learning from experience to reduce costs in future
- Proactively looks for creative and innovative methods to make installation projects flow more smoothly
- Ensures installation crew members are mentally and physically fit for duty
- Works with administrative personnel to ensure required training courses are up-to-date for all crew members
- Ensures adherence to the highest quality materials, equipment and installation standards
- Proactively liaises with new and existing clients to secure any additional present and/or future work
- Assists with the formulation of department strategic plans
- Encourages good housekeeping habits to prevent injuries and property damage
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
The following are required:
- 3-5 years of experience in an operations environment within the construction industry (preferably installation)
- 3+ years prior supervisory experience, preferably within the construction industry
- Knowledge of the helical pile industry, including products and installation equipment
- Knowledge of industry-related tools (down-hole hammers, drill rods, bits etc)
- Performance and communication training or experience

Responsibilities:
- Large-scale landscape installation, including residential communities, city parks, green space, and large commercial developments.
- Coordinate, manage, and motivate the day-to-day activities of crew members and sub-contractors.
- Participate in construction activities and support your team in accomplishing daily production targets.
- Implement operating methods and procedures designed to improve productivity and product quality with guidance from the Superintendent.
- Review all project specifications, the scope of work, and site conditions with the Superintendent and help establish project schedules and priorities.
- Identify hazards and other potential obstacles during project construction and recommend potential solutions.
- Responsible for the overall health & safety of crew members and job site, including training, incident reporting, and enforcement.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluation, and communicate job expectations to direct reports.
- Identify needs for supplies, materials, & equipment and report to the Superintendent at the beginning of each week.
- Identify requirements for tools & equipment and ensure their availability prior to project construction.
- Accountable for assigned trucks, trailers, bobcats, and other tools/equipment to ensure their safe operation and maintenance.
- Conduct daily reviews of project production status with the Superintendent and resolve on-site operational, human resource, and technical problems to minimize the impact on project schedule and budget.
- Develop and maintain client relationships for each project and ensure that any issues that can affect the contract are reported to the Superintendent.
- Attend project meetings as a representative of the company.
- Provide daily production & activity reports, communication logs, and other relevant information and documents to the Superintendent.
- Prepare and approve all daily timesheets for crew members and ensure time is coded to the proper job costing.
- Practice, encourage, and enforce company corporate values.
- This is a working supervisor position, must be able and willing to get your hands dirty with the rest of your team.

Education:
- Completion or in the process of completion of the Certified Horticultural Technician (CHT) program is considered an asset.

- Ensures down hole tools and equipment are configured correctly for intended job
- Liaise between cement services and energy company to ensure job success
- Provides front-line support for customer with a high degree of professionalism
- Communicate and work with customers, rig, cementers and other third-party personnel
- Accurately complete job reports create tool assembly schematics, and field service orders upon completion of job in a timely manner
- Report any non-conformance in a timely manner
- Convey information and job details to co-workers at the end of each shift
- Prepare equipment for each specific job
- All NCS tools and equipment looked after in a professional manner
- Help to promote safe work practices and higher standards of performance
- Support and uphold HS&E policies and procedures of NCS and the customer
- Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; preferred
- Technical Certificate/Diploma or Degree; preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of direct industry experience
- Industry related experience; coiled tubing, fracturing, drilling/service, or downhole tool operations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites
- Work with other teams, and exhibit effective communication
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to understand the importance of documentation
- Excellent judgement, ability to plan ahead, high level of efficiency & work ethic
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, manage priorities
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Ability to perform job responsibilities in all weather conditions
- Perform physical labour when necessary, in addition to standing or travelling for long periods of time
- Ability to move or lift 25lbs – 50lbs
- Valid Driver’s license; required
Pre-Engagement Requirements
Due to the safety-sensitive nature of the work and its associated responsibilities, all contractors must meet the following pre-engagement requirements:
Completion of both a drug and alcohol screening, as well as a Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) criminal check, is mandatory before any work can begin. These screenings will be arranged by the company and must be successfully passed for the contract to proceed.
If you have a prior conviction, the CPIC check will return as incomplete, at which point an RCMP Certified Criminal Record Check will be required. As obtaining an RCMP Certified Criminal Record Check can take considerable time, we strongly recommend initiating the process as early as possible to avoid delays. The RCMP Check must be issued within the last 30 days and provided at your own expense before the contract can commence.
Please note that the Contractor agreement is contingent upon the successful completion of all required screenings. Additionally, all documents outlined in the Master Service Agreement (MSA) must be submitted before any work can begin. Failure to meet these requirements may result in a delay or cancellation of the contract.
