Location: Remote (Canada)
Jurisdiction: Global
Minimum Commitment: 20 hours per week
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
What You Put In Is What You Get Out
This isn’t just a role—it’s a launchpad. The more ownership, clarity, and strategy you bring to our finance systems, the more you’ll shape a product ecosystem powering anime, AI, and blockchain innovation. Your ideas won't sit in backlog—they’ll go live and scale globally.
Minimum commitment: 20 hours/week. If that’s not realistic, we completely understand—but this isn’t the right role at this time.
This is an equity partner role. That means:
- No upfront cash compensation
- Equity (shares) at founding partner level (vesting standard)
- Future token-based rewards (pending legal approvals)
- Salary activates with revenue-based milestones
- Remote-first, async-native, cross-border team culture
Let’s Be Absolutely Clear
We’re not looking for someone to “optimize” existing financial tools. We’re building a proprietary finance stack from the ground up—blending Web2 and Web3, equity and tokens, revenue and grants.
Overview
As Product Manager, Finance at Anime Universe, you’ll lead the definition, development, and delivery of the systems that manage everything from treasury and equity to royalties, grants, and token flows. You’ll be the connective tissue between finance, engineering, operations, and leadership—turning strategic goals into technical requirements, and manual pain points into automated solutions. You’ll help build the digital engine that powers how we earn, spend, share, and grow.
What You’ll Own
Product Strategy & Road Mapping
- Translate finance leadership and compliance needs into clear product specs, technical briefs, and roadmap priorities
- Define key product milestones and ship schedules for ERP modules, treasury tools, payroll systems, and custom dashboards
- Prioritize ruthlessly across automation, security, and regulatory timelines
Systems Integration & Automation
- Own the productization of integrations across ERP, banking APIs, blockchain, payroll, investor platforms, and tax software
- Partner with engineers to reduce manual workflows in financial reporting, grants, royalties, and equity tracking
- Champion scalable, modular architecture decisions to support global growth and cross-border complexity
Data, UX, & Cross-Team Collaboration
- Define product KPIs and data flows for financial insights, forecasting models, and executive reporting
- Collaborate with Design and Data teams to ensure dashboards are usable, actionable, and decision-grade
- Work closely with Legal, HR, Funding, and Engineering to anticipate downstream systems impact from finance updates
What We’re Looking For
- 5–8+ years of experience in product management, preferably with direct ownership over finance, ERP, fintech, or systems integration
- Deep understanding of accounting workflows, treasury operations, or financial data pipelines
- Experience working with or building ERP systems, finance APIs, crypto/fiat bridges, or investor dashboards
- Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills—you turn ambiguity into clarity, and strategy into execution
- Comfortable managing engineering roadmaps while syncing with legal, people ops, and finance stakeholders
- Bonus: Background in fintech, Web3, DAO tools, or blockchain-powered payment systems
- Bonus: Prior experience with grants, royalties, or non-traditional capital flow products
- You’re a systems thinker, fast executor, and culturally aligned with the ambition of Anime Universe
Our Promise
At Anime Universe, you’ll have the rare opportunity to product-manage from first principles—no legacy baggage, no red tape, just clean architecture and bold ideas waiting to be built. You’ll shape the financial systems that power equity, tokens, royalties, and real-world revenue across anime, AI, and blockchain. We move fast, ship with purpose, and reward ownership with impact—and equity.
