Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Finance Manager to join our finance team and play a critical role in managing the month-end process, financial consolidation and forecasting across multiple entities and currencies. Reporting directly to the VP Finance, you will ensure accurate financial reporting and support the accounting team in a dynamic, growth-focused environment. You will also contribute to the implementation of our ERP system and the transition to a new consolidation process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all accounting and financial reporting activities are completed on an accurate and timely basis.
- Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements and financial projections.
- Provide oversight and support to the accounting team.
- Ensure strong internal controls, risk management, and financial governance
- Spearhead process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
- Perform financial consolidation, ensuring accurate elimination of intercompany transactions and reconciliation of consolidated financial statements. Excel based, transitioning to NetSuite ERP.
- Prepare and maintain the monthly Forecast model by incorporating actuals, projections for revenues, cost of sales, commissions and operating expenses. Review any variances in the projections.
- Monitor operating costs, identify areas for cost efficiency, and implement innovative solutions to improve financial performance.
- Lead the NetSuite ERP implementation and data migration processes.
- Ensure efficient functioning and documentation for all financial systems including receipts, disbursements, billing, bookkeeping, and accounting.
- Ensure transfer pricing model is compliant with local and international tax laws.
- Provide input on critical problems and participate in decisions affecting the organizations projects.
- CPA designation or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
- Experience with multi-currency accounting.
- Experience with Sage 50, QuickBooks Online and NetSuite ERP (an asset).
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- 10+ years of experience in finance roles, with at least 5+ years of experience managing teams and overseeing financial operations.
- Proven experience in financial planning, forecasting, and reporting, including working with international portfolios.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams across multiple functions (accounting, FP&A, AR, AP).
- Excellent organizational skills, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for Financial Functions and Daily Accounting Operations : Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions and records.
· Collaborate with the Portfolio Finance Team : Work closely with the Financial Controller to recruit, train, and develop the accounting team, ensuring high standards in financial management.
· Prepare and Present Financial Statements : Generate monthly financial reports, analyze data, and provide ad hoc financial insights to support informed decision-making.

· Support Operational Improvements: Collaborate with Managing Directors to assess and implement operational improvements.
· Ensure Tax Compliance : Assist in tax optimization reviews; manage tax filing processes, handle audits, and ensure compliance with all relevant accounting and tax regulations.
· Maintain Financial Controls : Implement and uphold internal financial controls that secure our growth.
Integration support:
· Financial Integration: Assist in financial integration activities, including ERP system implementation, account mapping, and rollout of reporting requirements and governance standards.
· Monitor Integration Success: Deploy the monthly reporting cadence, reviewing deliverables for data integrity, quality, and accuracy.
Manage transition financial risk:
· At Acquisition : Identify discrepancies between acquired company accounting policies and Valsoft corporate policies, with the Finance Controller – Portfolio remediate discrepancies and implement go-forward reporting processes.
· Post-Acquisition Support: Support the forecasting of the first-year bottoms-up forecast in partnership with the acquired business.
· Acquisition Accounting : Assist in preparing the purchase price allocations and ensure completeness and accuracy of opening balance sheet accounting.
REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Qualifications: A qualified financial accountant (CPA) with a solid track record of results driven accomplishments.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a similar role and having managed at a minimum one ERP integration.
- Knowledge strong of financial regulations and standards and advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Skills: Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

Overview
The Lead Finance - Immunology is a senior strategic leader responsible for overseeing the financial planning and analysis functions within the Immunology department, managing an Immunology Sales portfolio of USD $500MM and SG&A expenses totaling USD $120MM. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and driving the success of the Immunology business unit. The Lead will manage a high-performing finance team, collaborate with senior leaders across departments, and elevate financial insights to inform key initiatives within the Immunology space.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Provide finance leadership to the Immunology department, aligning financial strategies with overall business objectives.
- Oversee financial closing activities related to budgeting, expense management, and financial variance analysis.
- Lead all Profit & Loss (P&L) aspects of financial planning for immunology projects, including Long Range Plans (LRP), annual operating plans, and monthly forecasts (LBEs).
- Develop and evaluate business cases for investments and Sales Opportunities, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and financial objectives.
- Champion value and measure cost optimization programs within the department.

Responsabilities:
The Construction Division of Makivvik, is non-profit organization responsible for implementing the Inuit Housing Program in Nunavik. - Ensure compliance with financial laws and guidelines;

Qualifications :
- Bachelor's in accounting;
- Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA), an asset;
- Ten (10) years of experience in a related field;
- Good communication skills in at least two (2) of the three (3) languages: Inuktitut, English and/or French;
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles;
