Do you want to join the Finance team of one of the most exciting space companies at the forefront of global change detection/change monitoring? We are looking for an adaptable Finance Treasurer who will play a key role in establishing scalable treasury infrastructure and supporting long-term capital strategy. This is a Vancouver-based hybrid position, with some in-office work required. Candidates must have full-time availability during the business hours of 9am-5:30pm Monday through Friday. 

PREPARE FOR IMPACT!

Reporting to the Director of Finance and working closely with other members of the Finance team, the Finance Treasurer is a hands-on role responsible for cash management, liquidity planning, bank relationships, risk management, and debt compliance in a multi-currency environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of treasury operations, experience managing cash structures, and will possess the skills to provide strategic recommendations on capital allocation and financial risk mitigation. Strong candidates will be able to demonstrate their ability to work closely with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, and legal, as well as external lenders and banking partners.

Responsibilities include:

Cash & Liquidity Management

  • Monitor daily global cash balances and ensure liquidity to meet operational needs
  • Lead short- and long-term cash flow forecasting; analyze variances and identify actions to optimize cash utilization
  • Oversee intercompany funding, settlements, and cash pooling structures
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls around disbursements and cash movements
Banking & Treasury Operations
  • Serve as the primary contact for global banking relationships; negotiate terms and reduce fees
  • Manage bank account administration globally, including opening, closing, and maintaining KYC compliance
  • Administer corporate credit card and purchasing card programs
Risk & Compliance
  • Lead FX exposure analysis and execution of foreign currency and interest rate hedging strategies
  • Ensure treasury operations are compliant with internal policies, debt covenants, and external regulations
  • Maintain documentation and covenant compliance for all credit facilities
  • Support audit, tax, and lender inquiries related to treasury activities

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare treasury reporting packages: liquidity dashboards, covenant tracking, and working capital KPIs
  • Analyze trends in cash conversion cycle (AR/AP/Inventory) and partner on working capital optimization
  • Support month-end close for cash accounts, reconciliations, and treasury-related accruals
  • Recommend and implement treasury process improvements and automation opportunities

Strategic Capital Support

  • Provide cash impact analyses for key investment, financing, or strategic initiatives
  • Develop and maintain treasury policies and procedures aligned with scaling global business
  • Other duties as assigned

YOUR PAST MISSIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA)
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate treasury, banking or finance, finance; multi-entity or global experience preferred
  • Experience with ERPs (NetSuite experience an asset)
  • Experience in dealing with multiple currencies

YOUR TOOLKIT

  • Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting, financial risk management, and treasury controls
  • Advanced Excel skills required; experience with ERP systems, treasury management systems, or banking platforms a plus
  • Strong analytical or communication skills; able to translate data into insight and recommendations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

YOUR COMPENSATION

Base Salary Range: $120,000-$50,000 CAD annually

The range of $ 20,000- 150,000 annually, depends on job-related skills, experience, training, education, location and business needs. The range is based on BC-derived compensation for this role. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Only in rare and exceptional circumstances, when a candidate has the experience, skills, and expertise to exceed those required for the position, would we consider paying at the top of the range for this role.
