In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the financial reporting team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting aligned with US GAAP, internal controls, and company policies. Reporting to the Financial Accounting and Reporting Manager, this role supervises a team of three Financial Analysts and works closely with Human Resources, Project Accounting, Internal Audit, Corporate Risk, and external auditors. **Key Responsibilities:**
**Team Leadership & Supervision**
+ Oversee daily operations of the financial reporting team to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
+ Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to staff; conduct performance reviews and set development goals.
+ Monitor and balance workloads across the team, adjusting responsibilities and priorities as needed.
+ Promote cross-training to ensure adequate back-up coverage and business continuity.
+ Address performance issues promptly and develop corrective action plans where necessary.
+ Participate in merit and incentive planning for direct reports.
**Financial Reporting & Accounting**
+ Review journal entries, financial statements, and account reconciliations prepared by staff for accuracy and completeness.
+ Review FRS and supplemental schedules submitted to Corporate Accounting for SEC reporting.
+ Ensure financial reporting is compliant with US GAAP and internal company policies.
+ Maintain and update forward contract schedules for matured and new contracts.
+ Prepare and distribute month-end closing schedules and review ad hoc financial analyses.
+ Support staff with complex accounting tasks and ensure all deliverables meet reporting deadlines.
**Audit Support (SOX, Internal, External)**
+ Prepare population schedules and supporting documentation for audit samples.
+ Explain financial reporting processes and internal controls to auditors.
+ Respond to internal and external audit queries in a timely and accurate manner.
**Process Improvement**
+ Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and improve financial reporting processes.
+ Develop and track KPIs to measure process efficiency and team performance.
+ Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team input and innovation.
+ Analyze and enhance workflows to reduce turnaround times and optimize accuracy.
**Qualifications:**
+ University degree or college diploma in Accounting.
+ CPA designation (or near completion) required.
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior financial analyst or public accounting role.
+ Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
+ Strong general accounting knowledge and understanding of internal controls.
+ Advanced working knowledge of ERP systems.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between 89,000 and 139,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. **Job Summary:**
The Vail Resorts Finance Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value. The **Director of Financial Reporting** is a critical role for the Vail Resorts Accounting Team and an integral member of the Accounting Leadership team. This position leads a team of professionals with responsibilities including Vail's Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") reporting under US GAAP, administration and accounting for the Company's equity-based compensation program, reporting under US GAAP and IFRS for various subsidiaries, execution of various internal controls, and managing and solutioning complex accounting and reporting matters. The Director of Financial Reporting will report directly to the VP / Assistant Controller within the Vail Resorts Finance organization.
Through Vail Resorts core leadership competencies, the Director of Financial Reporting will:
+ **Drive** : Manage all external SEC financial reporting and filings, including the 10-K and 10-Q's, as well as all internal financial reporting to management and the Board of Directors, and standalone financial statement audits. Work in close coordination with the technical accounting team on issues that impact the financial statements of the Company. Must possess a strong ability to apply US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements to various technical accounting issues and research and monitor the governing bodies for effected and proposed pronouncements and analyze the potential impact to the Company. The Director of Financial Reporting is an experienced business and accounting professional with the background and interpersonal skill sufficient to function successfully in a high impact, visible position of leadership. The following background is strongly preferred:

Job Title: Financial Reporting Manager
Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, the Financial Reporting Manager, will be responsible for the preparation of the Company’s financial statements and related regulatory filings while leveraging technology and creating efficiencies for our organization. Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Financial Reporting
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) in compliance with IFRS.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and assess impacts on financial reporting.
- Prepare or review monthly working papers, supporting schedules, and technical accounting memos.
Month-End and Close Processes
- Follow and complete all month-end close procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee transactions and balances within the ERP system (Pronto Xi) to ensure data integrity and completeness.
Audit and Compliance
- Serve as the primary liaison between the auditors and Skeena, coordinating audit requests and ensuring timely responses.
- Support and enhance internal control processes to ensure compliance with NI 52-109 and SOX requirements.
Team Leadership and Development
- Train and review the work of junior staff members to support professional growth and maintain quality standards.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform additional duties and projects as required by the company.
The Ideal Candidate
Education / Qualifications:
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
Experience / Skills
- 2-4 years experience within a public accounting firm.
- Familiarity with Pronto Xi ERP system is considered a strong asset.
- Experience wit
- Comfortable using technology to gain efficiencies and make improvements to the financial reporting process.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Work Location & Conditions
This is an office-based job, in Skeena’s Corporate office located in Vancouver, British Columbia on a Monday to Friday schedule. Additionally, the job is in a fast paced working environment, with having to manage multiple competing priorities. Some flexibility in work location may be considered.
Compensation
The expected range for this position is CAD $110,000-$125,000 in line with the competitive job market for such roles carried out in British Columbia. Salary ranges are guidelines and any job offer received by a candidate will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant education, training, and/or experience.

We are looking for a Financial Reporting Lead to join the Finance & Accounting team. This role is located in London, Ontario and will work out of our VersaBank Innovation Centre of Excellence (VICE) office.
As a Financial Reporting Lead, you will take a lead in overseeing the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, while ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This role provides leadership in external financial reporting processes, making a direct impact on the integrity, transparency, and compliance of the banks financial disclosures.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Lead and review the quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS, OSFI guidelines and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial statements for public disclosures, investor reporting, and regulatory submissions.
- Monitor and interpret changes in IFRS and regulatory reporting standards, assessing their impact on financial disclosures and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Support the preparation of the Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), ensuring it provides in-depth insights into financial performance, key business drivers, risk exposures, and strategic outlook.
- Provide analytical support by highlighting key trends, performance drivers, and risk factors.
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, assisting in audit processes and addressing queries related to financial statement disclosures.
- Assist in the preparation of financial presentations for board meetings, investor calls, and shareholder reports.
- Manage the consolidation of financial results across multiple legal entities, including subsidiaries.
- Responsible for the month-end closing process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or other related field.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and strong understanding of US GAAP.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to the banking industry.
- Experience working in a public company environment, with a deep understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory submission processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- In-depth understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and new standards.
