Job Description

We are looking for a solution architect (SA) who will report to the manager of solution architecture. The SA will primarily define the solution architecture for specific projects but will also work with the business leaders to build a roadmap and alignment of solutions. As part of his/her role, the SA will review and understand business requirements for a project in order to design a technology solution that will meet those requirements while respecting the guiding principles of the Enterprise Architecture within the actual BRP context. 

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Provide an architectural conception of the solution regarding business, application, information and technology domains via the solution architecture design document.
  • Develop and implement infrastructure solutions to meet client needs. This involves assessing client requirements, selecting appropriate infrastructures and network services and designing scalable and secure architecture.
  • Provide expertise in migrating existing applications and infrastructure to the cloud. This includes performing cloud readiness assessments, planning migration strategies, and ensuring a seamless transition with minimal downtime.
  • Ensure infrastructure solutions adhere to industry standards and compliance requirements. This involves implementing security protocols, managing data encryption, and configuring cloud security services.
  • Partner with the organization to understand organizational and departmental strategy and agree on information systems solutions to meet the needs. 
  • Estimate cost, and prepare business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, licences, development and support.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related study, or equivalent project-related experience.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in IT, with at least five years in information system design.
  • In-depth experience designing and implementing information solutions, with specialization in IT infrastructure (Server architecture (Windows and Linux), VDI, Virtualization, Networking projects).
  • Strong Knowledge of enterprise networking, cyber security, identity management systems, Backup and Recovery, Monitoring tools, IaC.
  • In-depth experience with Microsoft technologies (Azure, Sharepoint, OneDrive, M365 etc.)
  • Knowledge of public Cloud technologies (IaaS, CaaS, SaaS, PaaS) running on Azure, GCP and AWS.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology.
  • Experience in a factory IT environment.
  • Strategic business acumen and understanding of organization strategy and ability to design information systems to deliver that strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences. Some experience of working with board-level stakeholders. 
  • Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-team to ensure successful delivery of solutions. 
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills - demonstrating outside-the-box problem-solving skills and ability to develop solution architecture designs. 
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF with Archimate or the equivalent.
  • Bilingualism (French & English) - knowledge of English is required because you will be representing BRP in negotiations with vendors in the US and exchanging with stakeholders around the world.

Finance & Operations Coordinator

Finance at Jackman

The Finance team at Jackman is a group of highly skilled professionals responsible for the fully cycle accounting, reporting, forecasting, and other key financial operations. We move fast, collaborate closely, and deliver high-impact financial insights and controls across the business.

What youll do

Reporting to the VP of Finance & Strategic Governance, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties that support day-to-day operations and the month-end close process. You will play a critical role in managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with reporting and analysis, and also supporting the Sr. Manager, People Development on an as-needed basis.

Finance Administration

  • Manage the general accounting inbox and correspondence with vendors, clients and internal employees
  • Review vendor invoices and employee expense reports for accuracy, coding, and compliance with internal policies
  • Ensure timely entry of all invoices and expenses into the accounting system
  • Execute bi-weekly payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing client contracts as needed
  • Respond to inquiries from internal teams regarding invoice status, expense policies, and general financial information

Accounts Payable & Receivable (AR/AR)

  • Perform full-cycle accounts payable: code, process, and reconcile vendor invoices
  • Monitor and maintain the accounts receivable ledger, including client billing schedules and monthly invoicing (retainers, travel, and ad hoc billings)
  • Follow up on outstanding receivables and monitor aging reports
  • Escalate overdue accounts when necessary and support collections process
  • Record customer payments and post cash receipts in a timely manner
  • Ensure accurate revenue cut-off through proper month-end accrual and deferral entries.

Month-End Reconciliation & Close

  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Reconcile variable labour spend and other project-related expenses
  • Prepare ad hoc reconciliations of income statement and balance sheet accounts, including suspense and clearing accounts
  • Assist in the full month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

Reporting, Forecasting & Analysis

  • Conduct monthly general ledger reviews and variance analysis
  • Prepare departmental reports with commentary for internal stakeholders
  • Support P&L reporting, including actuals vs. budget/forecast comparisons
  • Assist with ad hoc internal or external reporting requests
  • Support the annual budgeting process and mid-year forecasts
  • Assist with year-end review engagement including preparation of working papers and tax requirements
  • Assistance with annual insurance renewals and compliance activities
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function
  • Support other teams with financial information and budget tracking

HR Support

  • Maintain and update accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment legislation
  • Provide recruitment support by scheduling interviews, managing candidate communications, and maintaining applicant tracking documentation
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, collecting new hire documentation, and organizing orientation logistics
  • Support benefits administration by processing enrolments, updates and responding employee enquiries
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employees on day-to-day finance and operations questions, escalating more complex matters as needed

What we are looking for

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Actively working toward a CPA designation
  • 0-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role

The Manager, Finance & Operations will play a key role in supporting both day-to-day business operations and financial reporting processes. This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment



  • Operations: Support client onboarding, transfers, contributions/withdrawals, CRM database management, portfolio system updates, trade settlement, and cash/FX management.
  • Fund Accounting, Audit & Tax: Review NAV calculations, reconciliations, accruals, and work with administrators on IFRS financial statements and tax packages. Assist with valuation of both public and private investments, coordinate capital calls/redemptions, and liaise with auditors on fund audits.
  • Client Reporting: Oversee the preparation of quarterly client statements, annual tax reporting packages, and management fee billing.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Support the leadership team in ensuring adherence to securities commission, FINTRAC, and FATCA requirements.

  • University degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA designation is an asset.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting within the financial services sector (fund administration or asset management experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong Excel and general MS Office proficiency.

Our client in Richmond is seeking a strategic VP of Finance and Operations to oversee financial performance and drive operational efficiency as they continue to grow. This is a role that will work closely with the executive to drive finance and operational components of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Provide accurate financial reporting and insights as a senior leader.
  • Oversee accounting, procurement, operations and compliance
  • Drive operational performance across key departments
  • Implement systems and processes to improve scalability and efficiency.
  • Monitor KPIs and identify cost-saving or performance-enhancing opportunities.

Requirements:
