As our Marine Fire Suppression Technician , you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, installation, and repair of marine fire suppression systems. This involves ensuring compliance with industry standards, maintaining accurate documentation, and working closely with customers and marine personnel to support safety and system reliability.



What You'll Do:

  • Perform inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) of marine fire suppression systems (e.g., CO, FM-200, Novec 1230, Halon 1301, Inergen, dry/wet chemical systems).
  • Install and commission new marine fire suppression systems according to engineering drawings and regulatory standards.
  • Diagnose and repair system malfunctions or failures in compliance with manufacturer specifications and maritime safety codes.
  • Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with, ABS, NFPA, Lloyds, DNV, and other applicable standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to vessel operators and owners.
  • Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and marine personnel to ensure system reliability and vessel safety.

As our Fire Suppression Technician, you will be responsible for a wide variety of in-field fire services such as installing, inspecting, maintaining, modifying, and servicing fire protection equipment and fire suppression systems including vehicle suppression, kitchen suppression, industrial suppression, and clean agent suppression systems at commercial, industrial, and institutional sites.


What You'll Do:

  • Verifying conditions of suppression system, including validation of installation compliance and component location;
  • Test, replace and repair system components;
  • Perform all mechanical and electrical tests required to certify proper system operation;
  • Assess equipment, environment and operating conditions;
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, specifications, schematics, and operational/product manuals;
  • Evaluating plans, customer requests, code, and non-conformance issues to determine specific solutions and recommendations for customers and management;
  • Install systems according to manufacturers instructions;
  • After installation, validate system operation;
  • Preparing stock materials for daily execution of assigned work orders and optimizing material utilization;
  • Completing daily reports of completed work orders and activities;
  • Ensuring safe work practices are followed safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job;
  • Mentoring other team members including trainees and field service labour; and
  • Participating in 24/7 on-call/call out emergency service.

he Security Guard Team Member is responsible for all aspects of perimeter security including access & egress of persons and vehicles on site throughout the duration of their shift. The Security Team Member reports to the Assistant Security Manager.

he Security Guard Team Member is responsible for all aspects of perimeter security including access & egress of persons and vehicles on site throughout the duration of their shift. The Security Team Member reports to the Assistant Security Manager.
**Position:** Security Guard

**Pay** : $18.57-$20.41/hour (Progressive Pay Scale)
**Shift details:** Rotational 12-hour shifts **(Days, Nights and Weekend Availability required)**
**QUALIFIED APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:**
+ **Valid Class G Driver's License.**
+ **Valid Ontario Security License.**
+ **Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR Certificate.**
+ Minimum Grade 12 or GED equivalent.
+ Law & Security, Police Foundations, or equivalent post-secondary diploma preferred.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES:**
+ Conduct Mobile patrols of all premises.
+ Complete concise incident reports for all deficiencies.
+ Monitor traffic flow through entrances and exits as well as deter any trespassers.
+ Provide access control and vehicle searches.
+ Perform front entrance reception duties as required.
+ Conduct random bag checks as directed.
+ Provide support to cover all designated site posts as directed.
+ Follow post orders, and site policies and procedures.
+ Understand and promote the Securitas Quality objectives: _Integrity, Vigilance, Helpfulness_ .
+ Perform daily inspection and maintenance of security patrol vehicles and report deficiencies.
+ Protect staff and contractors on site.
+ Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
**Preferred Experience:**
+ Previous security experience preferred.
+ Ability to respond to situations with tact and diplomacy and remain calm in stressful situations.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods as required.
+ Intermediate level use Microsoft Applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
+ Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask required.

WSP is currently seeking an experienced **Fire Protection Systems Engineer** to join one of our Ontario offices. Several projects will potentially require travel to Tiverton, Ontario, Toronto Ontario, Saint John, New Brunswick, Pickering and Oshawa, Ontario.

**What you can expect to do here:**
+ Design building mechanical fire protection systems.
+ Lead client and internal team discussions on fire protection concepts and solutions.
+ Coordinate meetings with team members, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
+ Prepare plans, hydraulic calculations, specifications, and cost estimates aligned with NFPA standards.
+ Conduct field assessments and reporting in fire protection engineering.
+ Oversee on-site quality, conduct field surveys, and attend site meetings as needed.
+ Prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations.
+ Develop design solutions through sketches, models, and diagrams.
+ Supervise and mentor staff to enhance technical skills.
+ Perform quality assurance and control for own and peer projects.
+ Help develop new standards and specifications for the fire engineering team.
+ Develop project scopes, budgets, and design strategies for various projects.
+ Support business development activities, including proposal and presentation preparation.
+ Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
**What you'll bring to WSP:**
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Fire Protection Engineering or other relevant training, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in fire protection systems design.
+ Masters in Fire Protection preferred but not required.
+ Registered as a Professional Engineer in your province of residence.
+ Experience in the nuclear field of fire protection engineering an asset (CSA N293, N393) and knowledge of NBCC, NFCC, provincial codes, various fire protection standards (UL, NFPA, CSA).
+ UL Solutions Integrated System Testing Certification (CAN/ULC-S1001) an asset.
+ Ability to design fire protection systems in Revit (AutoSprink RVT) or CAD (HydraCAD).
+ Knowledge of HydraCalc software
+ Ability to perform and interpret hydraulic calculations.
+ Strong understanding of fire safety engineering principals
+ Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and analytical skills. problem-solving and priority setting.
+ Strong knowledge of fire suppression and fire alarm systems, both design and commissioning are an asset.
+ Strong technical writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
+ Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD.
+ Ability to work and communicate in French is an asset.
+ Experience with CFD modeling software (i.e. FDS, ASCOS) is an asset.
+ REQUIRED: Must be able to pass Security Clearance.
