Who We Are Looking For
As a Fixed Term Securities Paralegal you will play a key role managing legal and administrative aspects of the practice. You will be working closely with all members of the team to deliver exceptional legal services to our clients. Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare general corporate and securities documents which include private placements, stock options, AGM's, prospectus, share exchange agreements, escrow agreements, reverse take-overs and others
- SEDAR+, SEDI and BC Registry filings for reporting companies
- Assist with completing and filing forms with TSX, TSXV, CSE and the securities commissions in each province and territory as required
- Draft continuous disclosure documents (i.e. news releases, material change reports etc.)
- Complete PPSA searches and registrations
- Assist with preparing and filing of reports of exempt distribution
- Assist with preparing and filing of interim and annual financial statements
- Liaise with legal assistants, paralegals and other lawyers, and clients on file progress
Qualifications
- Graduate of a Legal Administrative Assistant Program or Paralegal Program
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Hybrid LAA or Paralegal within Securities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and familiarity with Excel
- Excellent English, oral and written skills
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
- Able to manage multiple priorities while paying attention to details
- Able to communicate with clients, lawyers and staff
- Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and the ability to work both independently and in a team oriented atmosphere

**REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS**
Reports to: Operations Manager
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Purpose**
Supervise and coordinate all activities of production workers, including operational, personnel, and administrative tasks. Develop, run, and lead a performance oriented team based staff.
**Decision Making**
Daily staffing of operations. Assignment of personnel to production areas. Prioritizing tasks to be completed with available staff.
Risk: Production needs not fulfilled. Available staff not effectively used. Additional costs to the company.
Daily responsibility for line operations. This includes involvement in quality issues, machine capability, and adherence to work rules.
Risk: Safety requirements not met. Production needs not fulfilled. Machinery may not operate efficiently, increasing costs to the company. If work rules are not adhered to, there is increase opportunity for workplace injury to employees.
**Management Responsibility**
Directly responsible for hourly workers and indirectly oversee maintenance staff.

Direct the planning and implementation of key initiatives to improve bottling operations.
Ensure all monthly safety and food safety audits are completed on time, all corrective action items are completed, and all bottling workers understand the goals.
Review all production paperwork and ensure all paperwork is filled out accurately and completely.
Assist other departments on material quality, package quality, and other production related issues.
Work with management staff on safety issues, employee concerns, productivity, and quality.
**Experience**
4 year Bachelors degree or equivalent. Preferably in Business, Management, or Engineering, _two_ plus years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing plant; or _equivalent_ combination of education and experience.

Excellent organization skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities, prioritize effectively, and time management.
Ability to coordinate with other departments, as well as all levels of management.
