Ensure small repairs are completed in-house.

Perform truck and trailer maintenance work.
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and dump trailers.
Deliver materials and equipment.
Assist with plumbing service calls as a second set of hands.
Maintain effective communication with admin staff and customers.
Be available to work on-call and perform emergency callouts.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
Mechanical maintenance technician experience.
2+ years of maintenance experience on equipment, machinery, or automotives.
Mechanically inclined and able to perform handyman tasks.
Valid driver''s license.
Good attitude and communication skills.
Organized and able to work on-call.

Providing exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders is an important accountability that is also part of this role.   • Handle both incoming and outbound calls and sending emails in a professional, personable and accurate manner while maintaining effective response times
  • Determine the course of action for each request based on pre-established guidelines, customer policies & procedures
  • Analyze and record repair authorization requests
  • Provide repair and maintenance recommendations
  • Review vehicle maintenance history to ensure the accuracy of repair estimate
  • Ensure all repair information and system data is recorded accurately and in a timely manner
  • Negotiate savings with vendors where possible
  • Summit Fleet MasterCard activations and overrides

Major Responsibilities:
* Activate fuel pumps and fill fuel tanks of vehicles with gasoline or diesel fuel to specified levels
* Check air pressure in vehicle tires; and levels of fuel, motor oil, transmission, radiator, and other fluids; and add air, oil, water, or other fluids, as required
* Clean windshields, and wash vehicles
* Perform minor repairs such as, install mounted tires and changing engine oil and filters
* Prepare daily reports of fuel, oil, and accessory sales
* Order stock, and price and shelve incoming goods
* Rotate or replace tires
* Provide customers with information about local roads and highways
* Clean parking areas, offices, restrooms, and equipment, and remove trash
* Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
* At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred
* Basic mechanical aptitude required
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Current driver''s license class G or class 5 and ability to obtain class DZ it within 6 months of been hired required
* Willingness to work in non-climate controlled environments
* Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems
* Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
* Willingness to travel within district (close geographical area), work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a reference verification (to include past employment and education) are required
