**Job Description**
**AECOM** is seeking an **Indigenous Engagement Specialist** with experience in transportation and highway infrastructure to join our Environment Business Line in British Columbia. This permanent, full-time position will support impactful engagement with Indigenous Nations and communities while aligning with technical project delivery-particularly for provincial transportation and infrastructure initiatives. Reporting to the Team Lead, Impact Assessment and Permitting, this role will work closely with engineers, planners, and permitting experts to advance projects through B.C.'s regulatory process while respecting Indigenous rights, knowledge, and priorities.
As part of the Environment Business Line, you will play a key role in strengthening our approach to Indigenous engagement by collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams of environmental / engineering professionals and technical specialists. This position is responsible for developing and implementing Indigenous consultation strategies, ensuring that proposals and projects respect Indigenous knowledge, rights, and interests while aligning with regulatory requirements, environmental assessment (EA) / permitting processes, and best practices for reconciliation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Lead and implement Indigenous engagement strategies that foster respectful, transparent, and culturally appropriate relationships with Indigenous communities, governments, and organizations.
Support Indigenous consultation activities related to environmental assessments, permitting, and construction phases of infrastructure projects-including MOTI-led highway and transit corridor initiatives.
Collaborate with engineers, environmental planners, and design teams to ensure Indigenous Knowledge is meaningfully integrated into project design, permitting, and mitigation measures.
Track and manage Indigenous engagement milestones aligned with regulatory requirements and technical schedules.
Prepare culturally inclusive communication materials, summary reports, and records of engagement for regulatory filings and client updates.
Respond to concerns raised by Indigenous rights-holders in a manner that fosters trust, accountability, and responsiveness throughout project lifecycles.
Build and sustain strong relationships with Indigenous businesses and governments to support capacity-building, employment, and procurement opportunities.
Coordinate field-level engagement for construction projects, archaeological assessments, and field investigations.
Contribute to business development efforts by supporting proposal writing, budgeting, and participating in networking opportunities.
Mentor and support junior and peer staff in Indigenous engagement best practices and cultural safety.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
A degree or professional designation in Communications, Environmental Planning, Indigenous Studies, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Minimum 4 years of experience in Indigenous engagement, consultation, or communications within public or private sector projects.
Demonstrated experience with the Province of B.C.'s regulatory consultation approach and Indigenous relations protocols.
Knowledge of Indigenous rights, legal frameworks (e.g., Duty to Consult, UNDRIP, TRC Calls to Action), and governance structures in B.C.
Proven ability to work respectfully and effectively with Indigenous Nations and organizations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proposal writing, report development, and public presentation delivery.
Willingness and ability to travel to Indigenous communities, including during evenings or weekends.
Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
8+ years of experience in Indigenous engagement with a focus on infrastructure, transportation, and environmental permitting.
Lived experience as an Indigenous person (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) is considered a strong asset.
Direct experience supporting Indigenous consultation on MOTI highway and transit infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with B.C. Environmental Assessment Act, the federal Impact Assessment Act, and permitting frameworks.
Experience coordinating linear infrastructure consultation, including land access, fieldwork coordination, and contractor liaison.
Membership in IAP2, CPRS, IABC, IAF, or a related professional association is an asset.
**Additional Information**
+ This position is based in British Columbia. Remote/hybrid work may be considered based on location and client requirements.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is 71 000,00 $ - 125 000,00 .

  • Maintain and manage a (CRM) Customer Relationship Management system.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

- Lead Wellspring’s Annual Giving Campaign, including the following:

  • Develop the overall strategy for the program

Wellspring is a Canada-wide charity consisting of a network of community-based centres and online programs provided to anyone, with any type of cancer, at any stage in their journey. Wellspring charges no fees and receives no core government funding. Programs and operations are made possible only through the generosity of donors and funds raised through donations, sponsorships, and special events.

Wellspring is seeking a fundraiser to lead its annual and leadership giving portfolios. This role is based at Wellspring Westerkirk House, 105 Wellness Way, in Toronto, with an opportunity to work remotely up to two days most weeks. 

Responsibilities

- Lead Wellspring’s Annual Giving Campaign, including the following:

  • Develop the overall strategy for the program
  • Work with Communications Department to design and produce direct mail and direct digital mail solicitations
  • Meet or exceed annual giving targets
  • Provide regular reporting on the direct mail program
  • Steward annual donors
  • Manage and grow the monthly donor program
  • Work with Communications Department to identify new digital giving strategies


 - Lead Wellspring’s Leadership Giving Program, including the following:

  • Help to set and meet leadership giving ($1,000-10,000 gift level) targets and strategy
  • Qualify, cultivate, and solicit donors
  • Build and maintain the donor pipeline, including database tracking

Position Summary

UJA Federation of Greater Toronto is seeking an Operations & Donor Engagement Specialist to play a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of Transformational Campaigns and related philanthropic initiatives. This position supports all stages of the campaign lifecycleproposal development, donor stewardship, reporting, and cross-departmental collaborationwith a focus on fundraising operations and digital process enhancement.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Transformational & Special Philanthropy, the Specialist will collaborate with colleagues in fundraising, operations, data management, donor engagement, stewardship, and marketing to ensure seamless, high-quality execution of all campaign elements. This includes supporting strategic initiatives, enhancing the donor experience, and ensuring excellence in execution, data accuracy, and stakeholder engagement.

This role is pivotal in advancing cross-functional campaign efforts by facilitating collaboration, driving efficiencies, and elevating the standard of delivery across all donor and organizational touchpoints.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, digitally fluent, and detail-oriented professional, with demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and coordinate across multiple stakeholders and departments.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Campaign Coordination & Donor Agreements
    Manage campaign workflows, donor agreements, and acknowledgment letter approvals to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Donor Engagement & Relationship Support
    Communicate with donors, prepare meeting briefs, and provide meeting support including minute-taking and follow-up.
  • Proposal Development & Stewardship
    Assist in drafting stewardship communications and coordinate donor recognition logistics.
  • Project Support
    Track milestones, identify risks, coordinate meetings, and manage stakeholder communications.
  • Data & Digital Transformation
    Work with data teams to maintain donor records, support digital tool development, and ensure CRM data accuracy.
  • Administrative Support
    Handle documentation, internal communications, phone inquiries, and provide overall administrative support to the team.


Qualifications

  • Completion of post-secondary school with relevant experience in donor stewardship, campaign operations, or project coordination
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate advocate and visible champion of UJAs mission, values, and goals, inspiring others through action and unwavering commitment to advancing our shared purpose.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create professional materials and liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders including donors, volunteers, and senior leadership.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail; able to maintain accurate records, identify trends, and ensure data integrity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook and Excel), CRM systems, and digital tools; comfortable supporting digital and data-driven workflows.
  • Strategic, proactive, and solution-oriented, with a creative mindset and a collaborative approach.
  • Passion for UJAs vision, and commitment to Jewish community vitality
  • Familiarity with the Toronto Jewish community and/or experience in Jewish Communal Service considered an asset
