Position Summary
Hanson College is seeking an experienced and bilingual French as a Second Language (FSL) Instructor to lead and deliver French language training designed for international students pursuing immigration goals in Canada. This unique position combines curriculum oversight and instructor leadership with hands-on teaching responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about adult language education, well-versed in French proficiency testing (e.g., TEF Canada, TCF), and committed to student success in real-world contexts, including post-graduation settlement and career readiness.
What You Will Do:
- Design, implement, and maintain high-quality FSL programming aligned with CLB levels and Canadian immigration benchmarks.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the French language program, including scheduling, curriculum updates, and student support.
- Supervise and support part-time or contract French instructors; ensure consistency and quality in teaching delivery.
- Monitor program performance through assessments, student feedback, and progress reports.
- Liaise with the supervisor to align language training with learners academic and immigration goals.

What You Will Bring:
- Bachelors degree in French, Education, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in FSL instruction for adult learners; supervisory or coordination experience is an asset.
- Experience working with international students or newcomers to Canada is highly preferred.
- Effective communicator with a positive and flexible attitude.
- Proficient in classroom technology and virtual teaching tools (e.g., Teams, Zoom, Google Classroom).

Position Requirements
All Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school and evening hours (3:00pm - 8:00pm) as well as some Saturdays (9:00am - 12:00pm). This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of language, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in this area.
Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.
Position Requirements
All Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school and evening hours (3:00pm - 7:00pm) as well as some Saturdays and Sundays (9:30am - 1:00pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred. Continuing through the summer is even better. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.
This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education :
- Obtaining a bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Teaching certification is an asset
- Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum
Experience :
- Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
- Willingness to work with students with different learning needs
- Teaching English writing
- Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
Responsibilities (Position Details)
You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:
- Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
- Teaching online and in-person
- Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Filling in post-lesson notes
- Completing daily student communication updates
- Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

In this position, you will play a key role in helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem. Are you a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic French speaker? Join the team at Oxford Learning Don Mills as a part-time French teacher/tutor/coach. Ignite your passion for helping students succeed – en français!
We teach students HOW to learn French. We help students improve their academic and study skills in a small group setting. We have a lot of fun! Our class sizes are small with a maximum of three students per teacher. We provide all of the curriculum and lessons. Teachers do not need to lesson plan. Our teachers explain and guide students through the provided material and help students talk about their understanding.
Position Requirements
All Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work during a combination of after-school and evening hours (4:00pm - 6:00pm) as well as some Saturdays (9:00am - 12:00pm). A commitment until the end of June 2026 is ideal. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must. Candidates must possess a strong background in spoken and written French and English and be comfortable teaching up to a Grade 9 level, but up to Grade 12 is preferred. The candidate is required to instruct class sessions in French.
