Maintenance Electrician - food Mfg Shift: 8 to 12 hours rotational

Maintenance Electrician

  • 3 - 5 years Manufacturing Maintenance Electrical experience preferred
  • Must have PLC experience.
  • Must know how to use VOM Meter, Megger, AMP Meter and Chart Recorder
  • Sound working knowledge of Electrical Safe Work Practices; AC and DC Electrical Theory; reading/creating electrical prints and control schematics; motor control; personal computer hardware and software; computer networks; pneumatic and hydraulic valves; photo eyes; proximity sensors; limit switches; breakers & fuses.
  • Must have basic electric motor repair, electrical construction, trouble shooting skills.
  • Must have some electrical schematic and blueprint reading skills.
  • Must know the operation of a motor starter and how to rebuild
  • Must have some understanding of AC drive motor controllers.

Essential Functions

  • Support internal projects.
  • Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment, PLC components, and appliances by using hand tools and testing instruments
  • Inspects and tests electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits
  • Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment using instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and voltmeters
  • Replaces faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems as needed, and has the ability to dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes and armatures
  • Has the ability to test and complete circuits according to blueprint and diagram specifications
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and inspects completed work for conformance with requirements of existing building and safety codes
  • Must be able to repair or replace all electrical devices including, but not limited to: breaker panels, motor starters, heaters, fuses, lights, AC drives, motors, electrical switches, etc. – all in accordance with state and federal codes, including company policies and procedures
  • Must be able to perform construction work such as running conduits, pulling wire, installing switches, breaker panels, etc. – as needed to supply power to plant electrical apparatus
  • Must be able to maintain a log (work sheet) of equipment repairs and problems. A list of electrical maintenance that needs to be done must also be kept

Work Environment

The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This job is performed in a shop environment: hazardous materials; greasy, slippery factory floors. Sr. Finance Analyst - Food Manufacturing

Your seat at the table

  • Accountable for the plant financial reporting, spend management, annual budgeting, variance investigation, financial modeling, and productivity forecasting.
  • Ensures that the plant team operates with a high level of fiscal integrity in accounting practices, financial reporting and decision making.
  • Collaborates with plant leadership team to provide financial impact analysis and recommendations on cost savings, loss avoidance, and risk mitigation.
  • Supports all plant initiatives for the capital and non-capital project by validating cost assumptions, productivity savings, and providing recommendations.
  • Contributes ideas and solutions to Plant Leadership Team to improve long-term and short-term strategic initiatives and on day-to-day operational productivity.
  • Teams up with Commercial Finance to develop new product costing models; monitor and assess productivity impact of new product startups at plant.
  • Fosters collaboration amongst teams and influences up, down, and across organization levels to improve cross-functional financial acumen and financially informed decision making.
  • Has a forward-thinking mindset and is resilient, adaptable and curious.
  • Identifies issues, diagnoses problems, research best practices and generates alternatives to drive continuous improvement of financial processes and productivity outcomes with urgency.
  • Is an active presence on the production floor, interacting with associates while emphasizing safety and proactively seeking out areas of opportunity to drive productivity improvement.
  • Shares information in a clear and engaging way that helps teams to understand and apply, across all levels of the organization.
  • Able to synthesize large quantities of data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple sites and willing to travel between USA & Canada

What you bring to the table

  • More than 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Having a bachelors degree in relevant field of education is minimum
  • Experience in a food manufacturing set up
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and recommend changes benefiting the increase in profits of the business
  • Knowledge and ability to adhere to compliance
  • ability to implement and practice accounting policies
  • MBA / CFA / CMA / Cost accounting certificate is preferable
  • Working knowledge and ability to work on advance MS excel and MS powerpoint is a must

Maintenance Technician - Food MfgShift: 8 to 12 hours rotational

We are seeking a mechanically skilled individual who can work on maintaining plant systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshooting, and repairing any issues which may arise during production, restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts. Equipment used in this food processing facility includes industrial, electromechanical, and hydraulic equipment as well as pumps and conveying systems.

The Maintenance Mechanic must be able to troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, generators, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, packaging machines, VFDs, PLCs, etc…

Other duties include.

  • Inspect and examine machinery (conveyors, packers, seasoners, sensors, PLCs, VFDs, etc.) to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Perform maintenance tasks according to work orders (cleaning, lubrication, etc.)
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Perform good troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment break downs.
  • Has a pro-active mindset; finds solutions to different problems and complexities.
  • Can adapt and learn quickly to problems. Can operate in a high-pressure environment.
  • Perform daily maintenance and repairs needed in the production area.
  • Setup, take-down, and relocation of Processing and Packaging equipment.
  • Comfortable with electrical & PLC Controls
  • Follows safety and food safety protocols
  • Stays on call for emergency repairs of production equipment.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Post-Secondary Education in a mechanical trade.
  • 4+ years' experience as a field service technician or field repair technician in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proven skills in automation and troubleshooting.
  • Good judgement and decision-making skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to use hand and power tools.
  • Must be able to work a rotating shift as well as some extended hours and weekends.
  • Welding will be considered an asset.

Work Environment

The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This job is performed in a shop environment: hazardous materials; greasy, slippery factory floors. # **Required Qualifications**

**Education/Experience Requirements (meet one or more of the following):**

- Pursuing a post-secondary education from an accredited program in any subject area graduating between May 2023 and May 2026 **or;**
- Achieved at least a Canadian Force's rank of Master Corporal or trade/branch equivalent **or;**
- Four years relevant experience (as defined by operational, mechanical, and/or leadership experience)
