About the role:

Our team is hiring a talented Designer for our major hospitality client team.  If you are excited about bringing your digital skills to a team that is looking to push the boundaries on work and create great experiences for customers, then this is a great role for you.  As a Designer you will have strong creative skills, be comfortable taking projects from brief to completion, and provide new ideas and creativity while working closely with the client's brand guidelines. In the day to day, you'll be executing great work for a family of hospitality brands–creating social creative, video storyboards, banner ads, email marketing, and more with an understanding of visual development for campaigns and brands. What you will be doing:
  • Conceive and create compelling visual design solutions that address strategic business and brand objectives across a range of digital media.
  • Collaborating day to day with a team of art directors, designers, copywriters and account managers to produce beautiful and innovative designs and concepts for social (paid and organic), mobile, banners, video, print and beyond to define campaigns.
  • Responsibility for the full design lifecycle from concept to execution.

  • Collaborate with copywriters, project managers, and other creative contributors, to achieve optimal finished product.
  • Overseeing and managing the preparation of all finished files that will comply with the correct output specifications. 
What you need to be great in this role:
  • 4+ years of work experience that demonstrates impeccable craft and command of creative concepts, visual concepts, and design across a variety of projects.
  • The ability to take projects from concept to completion, with a history of translating strategic thinking into compelling, visual ideas.
  • Proactive, flexible, and independent, able to effectively time manage projects
  • Able to gather feedback judiciously but know when to follow guidelines/vision
  • Understand how to work on a range of designs within brand guidelines
  • Deep knowledge & production experience with integrated and digital campaigns.
  • A strong understanding and general skills around motion graphics and video.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to provide solution-oriented ideas
  • Able to effectively understand and execute against specific brand guidelines 
  • Persuasive communication and presentation skills with colleagues and clients.
  • Excellent Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) skills as well as Sketch. AE and PremierPro experience a bonus.
  • Sound knowledge of digital standards and industry best practices
  • Experience in the world of hospitality is also a bonus
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $76,500.00 CAD to $85,500.00 CAD. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER's total compensation package.
  • Although the position is remote, the expected working hours follow Eastern Standard Time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the project or tender focal point for all drafting activities with other disciplines for projects, tenders and internal studies;
  • Assist to development and/or maintenance of standard work procedures and guidelines;
  • Develop as-built, PFDs, P&IDs, piping layouts, isometrics, 3D models, line designation tables, and other drawings as required for a variety of large complex renewables and offshore construction projects;
  • Compiling documentation packages and producing document sets;
  • Work closely with design team members to ensure design documents are completed according to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with engineering team in making any necessary alterations to drawings;
  • Adhere to all quality procedures and processes as set out by the company/client;
  • Ensure work is performed in a competent, diligent, and prudent manner, in accordance with the highest professional standards of the industry and all applicable laws;
  • Perform other technical duties to support project delivery;
  • Provide direction to more Junior Personnel;
  • Interact with engineers to source design information;
  • Review drawings for compliance and accuracy;
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced environment while adhering to budget and schedule.

Requirements

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of a Diploma of Drafting and Design or Engineering;
  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience Subsea Engineering & Installation with a knowledge of project engineering and procedures;
  • Able to work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment driven by deadlines;
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and deliverables;
  • Highly proficient in AutoDesk Software Suite (2D & 3D);
  • Working Knowledge of relevant Renewable and Oil & Gas Industry Technical Specifications and Standards

Le designer technique en production est chargé de veiller à la bonne exécution des spécifications des produits pendant la phase de production. Ce poste consiste principalement à maintenir les normes de construction, de qualité, de fabrication et techniques en collaborant étroitement avec les fournisseurs et les équipes internes. Quelle sera votre mission

  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les designers, les techniciens d'ajustement, l'équipe de développement de produits et l'équipe d'approvisionnement afin de résoudre les problèmes de production et d'harmoniser les attentes en matière de qualité des produits.
  • Assister à la révision des échantillons SMS et PPS et suivre toutes les modifications apportées à chaque modèle ; appliquer ces modifications à tous les fichiers pertinents (croquis, nomenclatures et fiches de commentaires) afin de garantir la conformité avec les normes approuvées.
  • S'assurer que les fiches techniques sont prêtes pour la production et exactes.
  • Assurer un suivi régulier des modifications et des annulations de commandes puis veiller à ce que les fiches techniques soient tenus à jour.
  • Créer des éléments d'emballage y compris le contenu et les étiquettes d'entretien en veillant à ce qu'ils contiennent les informations correctes; les instructions de lavage, le pays d'origine, etc.

Job Summary

The Technical Designer in Production is responsible for ensuring the accurate execution of product specifications during the production phase. This role focuses on maintaining construction, quality, workmanship, and technical standards through close collaboration with vendors and internal teams. The goal is to ensure that final production meets brand expectations and is delivered on time.

What you’ll do

  • Work closely with Designers, Fit Technicians, Product Development team members, and Procurement team members to resolve production issues and align on product quality expectations.
  • Attend SMS and PPS sample review meetings and keep track of all changes made to each style; apply these changes to all relevant files (sketches, BOMs, and comment sheets) to ensure consistency with approved standards. Ensure that tech packs are production ready and accurate.
  • Follow up consistently on collection changes, cancellations, and ensure technical files are kept up to date.
  • Create packaging elements, including content and care label artwork with correct information (eg, washing instructions, country of origin, etc.).
  • Communicate closely with overseas vendors and respond to all technical design related inquiries. Track sample status and follow up regularly to ensure timely delivery of all samples.

What you’ll bring

Education:

  • Dec in Fashion Design or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

Technical skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent understanding of design and garment construction;

Job Summary

The Technical Designer in Production is responsible for ensuring the accurate execution of product specifications during the production phase. This role focuses on maintaining construction, quality, workmanship, and technical standards through close collaboration with vendors and internal teams. The goal is to ensure that final production meets brand expectations and is delivered on time.


What you’ll do

  • Work closely with Designers, Fit Technicians, Product Development team members, and Procurement team members to resolve production issues and align on product quality expectations.
  • Attend SMS and PPS sample review meetings and keep track of all changes made to each style; apply these changes to all relevant files (sketches, BOMs, and comment sheets) to ensure consistency with approved standards. Ensure that tech packs are production ready and accurate.
  • Follow up consistently on collection changes, cancellations, and ensure technical files are kept up to date.
  • Create packaging elements, including content and care label artwork with correct information (eg, washing instructions, country of origin, etc.).
  • Communicate closely with overseas vendors and respond to all technical design related inquiries. Track sample status and follow up regularly to ensure timely delivery of all samples.


What you’ll bring


Education:

  • Dec in Fashion Design or equivalent.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role.


Technical skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent understanding of design and garment construction;
  • Able to interpret words into sketches and to illustrate clear and precise drawings;
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, PLM systems, and Microsoft Office.

Le designer technique en production est chargé de veiller à la bonne exécution des spécifications des produits pendant la phase de production. Ce poste consiste principalement à maintenir les normes de construction, de qualité, de fabrication et techniques en collaborant étroitement avec les fournisseurs et les équipes internes. L'objectif est de s'assurer que la production finale répond aux attentes de la marque et est livrée dans les meilleurs délais.


Quelle sera votre mission

  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les designers, les techniciens d'ajustement, l'équipe de développement de produits et l'équipe d'approvisionnement afin de résoudre les problèmes de production et d'harmoniser les attentes en matière de qualité des produits.
  • Assister à la révision des échantillons SMS et PPS et suivre toutes les modifications apportées à chaque modèle ; appliquer ces modifications à tous les fichiers pertinents (croquis, nomenclatures et fiches de commentaires) afin de garantir la conformité avec les normes approuvées.
  • S'assurer que les fiches techniques sont prêtes pour la production et exactes.
  • Assurer un suivi régulier des modifications et des annulations de commandes puis veiller à ce que les fiches techniques soient tenus à jour.
  • Créer des éléments d'emballage y compris le contenu et les étiquettes d'entretien en veillant à ce qu'ils contiennent les informations correctes; les instructions de lavage, le pays d'origine, etc.
  • Communiquer étroitement avec les fournisseurs étrangers et répondre à toutes les questions techniques liées à la conception. Suivre l'état des échantillons et assurer un suivi régulier afin de garantir la livraison en temps voulu de tous les échantillons.

  • Diplôme en design de mode ou équivalent.


Expérience:

  • Au moins 3 à 5 ans d'expérience dans un poste similaire.


Aptitudes et compétences techniques:
