Pilots work a variable schedule driven by projects and weather that is generally busy in the summer and quieter in the winter. Survey projects vary in length from half day to three-week assignments at locations across Canada and occasionally the USA. Pilots normally fly 300-500 hours per year. The Role
The responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:
- Working together with the Survey Party Chief in the field
- Travelling regularly across Carleton Place and Ontario
- Reading and interpreting survey site plans and maps

- Conduct HAZMAT surveys (asbestos, lead, mold) following O.Reg. 278/05, 490/09, etc.
- Sample collection and documentation with full QA/QC protocol adherence.

Qualifications

Nature and Scope

General Accountability
The Community Survey Analyst will work closely with the Project Manager and First Nation networks, government, and other stakeholders to help ensure the goals and objectives of the SITAG Indigenous Labour Market Inventory Project are achieved. - Collect and manage data collected from various sources

Proficient in standard MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Knowledge of First Nations cultures and organizations would be an asset. Incumbent must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation as travel is required.
