Overview : We are looking for a Proposal & Content Writer who will not only craft compelling proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, but also support our broader communications strategy. This role blends content writing, market research, subject matter collaboration, and brand stewardship.

You'll be part of a passionate and collaborative marketing and sales team, helping us expand into new industries and strengthen our voice across multiple channels — from newsletters to blogs to award applications.

Responsibilities :

Proposal Development

  • Analyze RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs to create persuasive and strategic proposal content

  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with Justice personnel (judges, defense lawyer, crown attorney) in relation to the production of Gladue reports;
  • Prepare and submit all reports as required including any statistical reports deemed necessary by the NJO;
  • Undertake program promotion and awareness (Justice Coordinator training and community education);
  • Become knowledgeable regarding community resources (Indigenous & non-Indigenous) available to Inuit offenders;
  • Prepare a sentencing report (shorter version of a Gladue report) upon request of the court, crown, or defense lawyer, for certain situations;
  • Be available to travel, when requested;
  • Perform other related duties within the scope of the position or as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent;

  • Effective communication skills in at least two (2) of the three (3) languages: Inuktitut, English and/or French;

  • Great computer skills : Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.);

  • Inuit traditions and cultural knowledge and understanding, is required;

  • Management and leadership skills;

  • Working experience with the judicial system in Nunavik, an asset;
  • Knowledge of the social, judicial or correctional field;
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills;
  • Be reliable, autonomous, ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing and priorities;
  • Security clearance is required.

CAPSTAN Hauling is recruiting for a Service Writer at its Grande Prairie facility.

(Located in Clairmont, Alberta.)


This Service Writer position will support CAPSTANs internal maintenance operations and will be responsible for coordinating service and repair activities for company-owned units, ensuring accurate documentation, efficient scheduling and effective communication between fleet operations and our mechanical shop. CAPSTAN Hauling is a division of ENTREC Alberta and a member of LAPRAIRIE Group of Companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage work orders for maintenance and repairs on internal fleet units.
  • Coordinate with technicians to prioritize tasks based on operational needs and unit availability.
  • Track and document service history, parts usage and labor hours for each unit.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance and inspections in alignment with fleet usage and compliance requirements.
  • Communicate with operations teams regarding unit status, estimated completion times and service impacts.
  • Monitor parts inventory and initiate/manage orders as needed to support scheduled work.
  • Ensure all documentation meets internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in reporting on fleet performance, downtime and maintenance trends.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a fleet or mechanical maintenance environment.
  • Working knowledge of internal systems such as engines, hydraulics, HVAC and electrical components.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, supervisors and internal stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail in documentation and recordkeeping.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is an asset.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with fleet compliance and preventative maintenance scheduling.
  • Familiarity with warranty tracking and internal cost reporting.
  • Understanding of safety and regulatory standards for fleet operations.
  • Proficiency with maintenance tracking software (e.g., Fleetio, Fleet Complete or similar).
