Freight Forwarding Sales Executive
Fuze Logistics Services has recently expanded its services and is looking for a Freight Forwarding Sales Executive who has a passion for sales, building relationships and strong communication skills. The candidate will be responsible for prospecting, engaging and closing new accounts, along with building and maintaining relationships with a customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with customers and generate new business.
- Turn on that ability to tap into global opportunities while working alongside freight forwarding experts.
- Form a customer base by establishing communication with prospective clients, understanding their supply chain needs and building out proposals to meet their requirements.
- Solicit our clients services which include Ocean Import/Export, Air Import/Export, Ocean Export, Distribution & Warehousing, Cargo Insurance, and Customs Brokerage
- Meet and surpass monthly goals and objectives.
- Maintain consistent communication with our clients Operations/Customer Service Departments.
Desired Experience:
- 3-5 years in logistics/freight sales.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to learn quickly and work efficiently to meet productivity goals.
- Good organizational skills as this position requires working with multiple departments and following up with clients and prospects.
- Proficient in CRM (Salesforce) is a plus!

Job Purpose:

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support company Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) by proactively contributing to initiatives that drive strategic goals and organizational success
- Supervising the Barrie Operations team in their day-to-day activities, including:
- Arranging transport of import and export FTL and LTL shipments within and between Canada and the USA
- Negotiating rates with Carriers
- Quoting Customers
- Tracking shipments
- Communicating shipment details with customers and agents
- Submitting documents to Customs Brokers
- Arranging local pickups and deliveries
- Calculating revenue and costs on shipment files
- Set clear expectations for efficiency, accuracy, and proactive problem-solving in all aspects of the transport of operations including and not limited to routing of shipments, support and communication with problem shipments and timely billing
- Participate in the development and implementation of KPI goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of the operations department as per Management direction

Our International Forwarding team at our Vancouver, British Columbia office is currently looking for a well-organized, multitasked and self-motivated individual who will be responsible for coordinating and arranging international transportation services in our forestry department while working with other staff members to support customer service, meet short and long term goals, and increase the efficiency of the division. The primary responsibilities of this position are:
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Oversee operations and improve work flow and procedures by analyzing and implementing changes to support customers goals and client satisfaction.
- Monitor all aspects of the logistics process, including deliveries, transloading, container delivery, bookings, bills of lading, and invoicing.
- Coordinate with suppliers, ocean carriers, transloading facilities, mills, sales offices, and overseas customers to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Monitor shipments closely to meet carrier cut-off dates & VGM deadlines to ensure cargo is loaded onto intended vessels. This to include continuous monitoring of orders from the point of receipt through to vessel departure.
- Communicate B/L instructions with shipping lines; approve B/L proof copies; arrange for final B/L to be printed and delivered to customers.
- Prepare and process documents such as Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, Commercial Invoices, Mill Certificates, etc.
- Arrange for and provide accurate and timely export documents to customers in accordance with the terms of sales agreements and letters of credit.
- Update shipment data in order management systems as changes occur.
- Input data into internal KPI report systems to monitor supplier performance.
- Manage cargo flow to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly volume allocations for short and long term order fulfilment.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB, DESIRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of documents
- Ability to handle fluctuating work volumes and meet deadlines
- Good typing skills and a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Willingness to learn new skills and participate in training programs
