**The Job You Will Perform:**
The Front Line Leader - Fiberline at the Grande Prairie Mill will be responsible for safely and efficiently utilizing operations, maintenance and support resources to maximize the performance of the wood processing and pulping and bleaching areas. The leader is also responsible for product quality, schedule adherence, safety, training, staffing, engagement and overall shift performance.
This position follows a compressed work week. Position Level depends upon experience and qualifications.
This position reports to the Fiberline Team in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. The Grande Prairie mill is a 1000+ tonne per day Northern Bleached Softwood Kraft pulp mill. It currently operates with approximately 385 mill employees in a high performance, results oriented environment.
**Key Functions**
+ Role model safety behavior and intervene to maintain an injury free workplace
+ Provide on-shift leadership in safety, environment, quality and production
+ Utilize performance centerlines, monitor inputs/outputs and implement action plans for optimized production and continual improvement
+ Evaluate employee performance through review of completed work assignments, techniques, and tasks
+ Work with the Area Leadership and Mill Learning Leader to promote staff development and training needs
+ Coach employees and set expectations to accomplish Department and Mill goals
+ Conduct effective one-to-one discussions as per expectations with Employees who report to you
+ Utilize the SAP work order system for coordinating maintenance planned and unplanned outages
+ Monitor and approve hourly team member's schedule and work time
+ Coordinate activities through scheduling work assignments, setting priorities and directing the work crews
+ Lead safety investigations and performance management
+ Flow to work to meet business needs

Equipment Operation

  • Lifting/moving hoses
  • Load/offload vehicles

The Emergency Services Representative interfaces with customers via inbound/outbound contacts and/or via the web. This position provides customer support and resolution while they are in distress by providing medical instructions and/or engaging all necessary support services when they are most in need (We accept applications for this position on an ongoing basis. **WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE**
As an Emergency Services Representative, you'll:
+ Receive interactions for emergency assistance from our users utilizing a device provisioned with the service.
+ You will interact directly with the user to obtain details of the emergency request before contacting the appropriate "Public Safety Answering Point" directly or through an intermediary.
+ Where permitted by law, the staff in our service center will also provide post-dispatch or pre-arrival instructions to the individual in need of assistance.
+ Training and certification will be provided for police, medical, and fire situations.
+ The emergency representative is responsible for providing the highest level of service to individuals in an emergency or distressed state.
+ Deliver expert support and customer experience with patience, reassurance and sense of urgency.
**YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:**
Your skills, integrity, knowledge, and genuine compassion will deliver value and success with every customer interaction. Other qualifications for our Emergency Services Representative role include:
+ Must be Bilingual in French/English in both written and verbal communication. **Language proficiency/fluency tests will be administered to all successful applicants where C1 proficiency in both languages will be required.**
+ Open to flexible scheduling including days, nights, and weekends **. (This will be a 24/7 operation with 5 days on 2 days off scheduling)**
+ Experience in emergency response and/or high stress emergency communication center environments is preferred.
+ **Experience in the following fields is strongly preferred** : Emergency, Fire, Police dispatch experience, College 911 Communications/Public Safety Diploma or course completion, Police, Fire, or Paramedic programs, working with a CAD (computer assisted dispatch), Certification through International Academy of Emergency Dispatch including Emergency Medical Dispatch, Emergency Police Dispatch, Emergency Fire Dispatch, or CPR Certification, Emergency Service Volunteer
+ Proficiency in fast-paced multi-tasking
+ Eagerness to learn new technologies
+ Ability to assess and readily relay information accurately with high attention to detail, while operating various methods of communication tools is required.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide care to patients admitted in psychiatric crisis requiring short stay admission to in the Intensive Care Unit and the Assessment and Stabilization program
  • Contribute to fluctuating patient care needs according to CNO standards, RNAO Best Practice Guidelines, specific program philosophy and diversified patient populations
  • Work from nursing care plans established by the primary nurse for each patient
  • Administer psychiatric and non-psychiatric medications and treatments
  • Provide group facilitation
  • Assess and prevent suicide and manage aggressive behaviour through non-violent crisis intervention techniques
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports
  • Engage with interdisciplinary teams and individual team members as appropriate
  • Act as a preceptor, mentor, coach, or resource nurse as appropriate
  • Participate in clinical discussions, team meetings, and patient/family conferences

What we’re looking for:

  • Licensed as an RPN with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing
  • 2+ years of experience in Mental Health/Acute Assessment/Community Crisis care
  • Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and community health resources 
  • Current CPR/Basic rescuer certification
  • Knowledge of documentation standards (CNO), and privacy legislation (PHIPPA)
  • Knowledge of CBT/DBT is an asset
  • Experience with group facilitation is an asset
  • Ability to effectively manage crisis situations and deal with acutely ill patients
  • Current knowledge and experience of assessment and treatment of psychiatric disorders, including prevention of suicide and management of aggressive behaviour
  • Previous training in boundaries, suicide awareness, and medication administration is an asset
  • Awareness and acknowledgement of the value of using measurement-based care when supporting patients/clients to help guide clinical decision making; experience an asset
  • Ability to work independently and with multi-disciplinary team
  • Proficient computer skills, and experience working with a number of systems and software applications
