We are seeking a highly motivated junior technologist to join the Test Engineering team in Ottawa.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operates, tests & maintains test equipment using standard approaches and/or equipment with guidance and support from others.
- Troubleshoots circuits from system to component level, using knowledge of complex technical data (i.e. difficult to analyze, understand or solve, such as printed circuit board density, software and code functionality, smart chips, etc.) Performs rework as required (mechanical assembly, basic soldering); identifies and resolves technical issues.
- Records, understands, identifies & interprets schematic diagrams, drawings, parts lists, bills of materials, assembly processes, quality tracking systems, failure reports, quality charts, process routing sheets, acceptance test procedures and tests results.
- Conducts preventative and corrective maintenance/calibration on various conventional, numerical control, computer numerical control machinery (e.g. power supply or a temperature chamber), peripherals and controls of a straightforward nature with guidance and direction.
- Mentors/trains technicians in the debugging and testing of product.
- Performs other related duties as required
Education and Experience
- Requires a three year College Diploma as an Electronics Technologist or equivalent

The Architectural Technologist (Level 2) plays a key role in the design and development of commercial architectural projects, from concept through construction documentation. Working under the supervision of the Project Architect, the AT is responsible for making significant contributions to the Design Team through technical drafting, product research + specification, and assisting in space programming and design documentation. This position requires proficiency in Revit, a strong understanding of commercial building standards + systems, and the ability to communicate clearly with other project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
Design & Documentation:
- Conduct site surveys to document existing conditions and incorporate field data into project drawings ensuring accurate as-built drawings of existing spaces
- Support the design team through concept development, schematic design, design development and construction document phases
- Develop site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details
- Prepare architectural drawings, layouts, and construction documents for commercial projects using Revit
Technical Coordination:
- Collaborate with consulting architects, engineers, vendors and project stakeholders to coordinate architectural, structural, engineering and other technological design elements
- Support Construction Project Managers and on-site contractors with construction administration services such as documenting product and material submittals, responding to RFI, and organizing close out documents
Material & Product Research:
- Research and apply specialized design requirements for critical operations centers during design
- Research construction materials, finishes, and building systems for commercial applications
- Prepare material sample and finish color board presentations
- Review color renderings of the designed environments for presentation and client approval
Project Management Support
- Maintain project documentation and drawing archives
- Communicate regularly with the Project Team to identify and resolve design challenges and maintain project schedules
Other Duties Include

Qualifications:

Qualifications

- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Field Testing and Commissioning
- Past supervisory experience will be an asset
- Experience in substation would be a major asset, ie. 144kV and 240kV
- Experience with relay testing with various equipment; Omicron, GE, Manta, Meggar
- Familiar with all apparatus found in a HV substation
- Past experience with testing software will be beneficial (Omicron Test Universe, Doble M4000, AcSELerator, Seimens Digsi)
- Competent and comfortable working with computers and spreadsheets.
- Dedicated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work within strict deadlines.
- Demonstrate a willingness to work safely and show concern for environmental, health and safety issues in the workplace.

Overview and Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging and under the direct supervision of a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) or Sonographer, this position is responsible for supporting efficient workflow within the assigned modality (e.g., MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound). The role provides assistance to both patients and imaging staff, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality patient care.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitor patient queues and support timely patient flow through scanning rooms
Verify exam protocols and priorities; review bloodwork and escalate concerns to the MRIT/Sonographer
Answer calls in the modality area, manage scan-related inquiries, and redirect unrelated calls appropriately
Respond to patient questions regarding imaging procedures, escalating to the MRIT/Sonographer as needed
Greet and verify patients upon arrival; ensure accurate patient identification and documentation
Insert IVs under the direction of a Radiologist and/or MRIT/Sonographer, in accordance with policy
Review and confirm patient screening forms; obtain and relay patient histories to the MRIT/Sonographer
Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and safe transfer onto and off imaging tables
Move IV lines between stretcher and bed, and position patients correctly in scanners
Document exams accurately in RIS and PACS systems
Ensure scan rooms are fully prepared with necessary supplies (linens, syringes, contrast, lines)
Monitor and replenish room supplies throughout the shift
Place and retrieve supply orders, and stock rooms as required
Corporate Responsibilities
- Participate in all mandatory training requirements and work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, company Policies and Procedures, as well as established industry guidelines
Skills & Qualifications
Post-secondary education in a healthcare-related field is required
Strong knowledge of medical terminology is required
Canadian or internationally trained MRT, Sonographer, or internationally trained physician is preferred
Previous experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
CPR certification
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey clear concise information
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and maintain a well-structured workspace
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Sound decision-making skills within established procedures and guidelines

Salary: $25.00 to $3.00 per hour, depending on experience
We have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Technologist to join our team of talented employees in our Charlottetown, PE office!
The successful candidate will enjoy working within a team environment with a highly capable group of established professionals working towards innovation and constant improvement of the services and products we deliver to our clients. CBCL operates a multi-disciplinary environment where all aspects of a project are considered for optimal sustainable solutions.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs for the full range of civil/municipal infrastructure including water distribution, sanitary sewer collection systems, pump stations, stormwater management, roadway systems, and site development;
- Prepare drawing packages for a wide range of projects;
- Support the day-to-day activities of projects from inception through engineering, construction and contract administration;
- Provide resident services on construction sites with the support of senior team members;
- Perform Site inspections and reviews;
- Carry out data collection activities including topographic survey and infrastructure investigations; and
- Prepare technical reports and cost estimates.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
- A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology preferred;
- One (1) to Five (5) years of experience;
- Thorough working ability with Civil 3D and AutoCAD software with above average drawing production capabilities, knowledge of Infraworks would be considered an asset;
- Ability to complete quantity take-offs;
- Proficient at working diligently to meet time-sensitive deadlines;
- Knowledge on piped systems would be considered an asset;
- Working knowledge of GIS would be considered an asset;
- Surveying skills (GPS and total station) would be considered an asset;
- Experience working in a consulting environment would be considered an asset; and
- Hold a valid drivers license, have reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to job sites.
