**YOUR DAY TO DAY**
Greet guest at hotel entrance and assist guests with front/lower door and unloading baggage.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Welcome all arriving guests; assist guests with front door and unloading luggage from vehicles. Alert management of any suspicious activities or characters.
+ Summon taxis, shuttle drivers, or valet parking attendants upon guest request.
+ Coordinate baggage handling with bell-persons and/or luggage attendants; may assist with luggage handling as necessary.
+ Assist departing guest with all luggage and transportation needs; invite departing guests back to the hotel and thank them for visiting.
+ Perform other duties as assigned such as ensuring the hotel entrance is free of litter and debris.
**WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU**
High School diploma or equivalent, and one year guest service or doorperson experience preferred. Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred.
This job requires ability to perform the following:
+ Carrying, pushing, or lifting items weighing up to 100 pounds
+ Handling objects such as luggage
+ Bending, stooping, kneeling
**OTHER**
+ Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with clients, guests and employees.
+ Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing departmental records/logs, reading road signs, etc.
+ May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Job Description

In this role you’ll get to:

  • To complete all stewarding tasks as assigned and maintain the highest level of Fairmont Hotels. To keep all immediate work areas clean and free from debris while adhering to all health and safety procedures of the hotel and kitchen.
  • To operate, clean, and general maintenance of all machinery and heavy duty equipment within the department including the dishwashing machine, and soaking tanks
  • To set up and organize the dish room areas and keep free from hazards and debris
  • General dishwashing and cleaning duties
  • Prepare coffee for banquets when required
  • Follow all health and safety rules as outlined by the department and the hotel
  • Ensures that all ECOSURE standards and processes are completed on a daily basis in his or her area of the department, this includes but isn’t limited to filling out daily dishwasher/ pot washer temperature logs
  • To uphold the highest standard of Fairmont Hotels and Resorts
  • To complete all other duties as assigned by your direct supervisor

+ Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.

**WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU**

+ Frequently standing up and moving about the facility

**YOUR DAY TO DAY**
Provide a check-in/check-out environment and hotel experience for VIP and special key guests that distinguishes our brand from the competition and delivers superior service and value.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Greet VIP guests and conduct special check-in and check-out services for these guests. Communicate with Front Office about arriving VIP guests and communicate any changes needed for their stay in a timely and accurate manner.
+ Identify return guests and VIPs in advance. Assign premium guest rooms and coordinate closely with other departments to forward relevant information.
+ Deliver and/or coordinate the delivery of services and/or amenities (such as flowers) to VIP guests. Collect and provide comprehensive information and coordinate VIP and/or Priority Club guest requests regarding hotel services, sporting events, places of interest, restaurants, theater, airline, transportation tickets, limousine rentals, sightseeing tours and any other information of interest. Coordinate and/or confirm reservations as needed.
+ Respond appropriately to guest requests and complaints. Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction. Log all guest complaints or concerns, coordinate the dispatch of work orders to the appropriate department and staff, and escalate appropriate issues to management.
+ May provide assistance with florists, couriers, mail services, rental of small business machines, international calls, etc. for assigned guests.
+ Assist Club attendant with their duties in opening and closing the buffet, restocking the buffet, clearing tables and attending to guests needs and other miscellaneous tasks.
+ Promote teamwork and quality service for our guests
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU**
High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of guest/customer service experience. A valid Smart Serve certificate. Hotel experience and some college preferred. Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred.
This job requires ability to perform the following:
+ Frequently standing up and moving within the facility
+ Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
+ Handling objects, products and computer equipment
+ Bending, stooping, kneeling
