The opportunity:
 
Valnet is seeking a highly analytical, knowledgeable and driven Functional Analyst to join a multi-functional development team. The Functional Analyst will be a key player in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. In this role, will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify needs. You will also work closely with developer tech leads, to scope out and design solutions, which ensure that our systems and applications align with business goals.
 
Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough analysis and propose solutions and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
• Create clear documentation of functional procedures, specifications, and business processes to guide end users. Be an authority on system functionality and help guide stakeholders’ education of new features.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure the successful implementation of business requirements. Participate in the design and testing phases to validate that solutions meet functional requirements.
• Manage project distribution and prioritization for a team of technical developers. Validate and approve projects deployment to the production environment.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop test scenarios and ensure that testing adequately covers functional requirements. Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist in resolving any issues that arise.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress, escalate issues as needed, and ensure that expectations are managed appropriately.

• Bachelor's degree in related field or science related.
• 3-5 years relevant work experience (e.g. for an online publisher or web app developer) will be reviewed as an equivalence to a degree.
• Proven experience as an IT Functional Analyst or in a similar IT role. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Obsession over details and clarity of information.
• Experience working with web applications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

This role is designed to be part of the newly defined SAP Centre of Excellence (CoE) organization at BRP. This group will consist of both business process and technical experts across multiple domains, who will provide support and continuous improvement to enable the business and wider organization to achieve its goals and future growth objectives. • Understand BRP business model to optimally use your technical skills and align the SAP solutions with its goal and needs.

• Provide knowledge in the SAP eWM to respond to business requirements, and position potential solutions.

• University degree or equivalent in experience.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP configuration experience in SAP eWM and preferably one end to end implementation cycle in an SAP implementation or a roll out project.

• Good understanding of EWM’s integration with other SAP modules especially with TM,SD and MM.

• Having knowledge of SAP LE module is an asset but not mandatory.

• Base knowledge of warehouse management, warehouse organization structure, putaway strategies, picking strategies, wave management, physical inventory, integration with RF devices (mobile data entry).

• Demonstrate expertise in SAP Extended Warehouse Management functionalities and capable of designing and implementing SAP best practices.

• Perform an active role in internal and external brainstorming and management meetings to bring our technical solutions to the next level.

• Experience working with third-party integrations with SAP,good understanding of EDI and IDOC messages.

• Understanding of S4 HANA processes.

• Experience with cutover, go-live and data migration.

This role is designed to be part of the newly defined SAP Centre of Excellence (CoE) organization at BRP. This group will consist of both business process and technical experts across multiple domains, who will provide support and continuous improvement to enable the business and wider organization to achieve its goals and future growth objectives. We are looking for smart, independent, and motivated individuals who are excited to be part of this exciting growth journey.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Understand BRP business model to optimally use your technical skills and align the SAP solutions with its goal and needs.

• Provide knowledge in the SAP eWM to respond to business requirements, and position potential solutions.

• Develop relationships with key business users to drive the effectiveness of the SAP solution.

• Support the business and PMO in demand management and project prioritization.

• Participate in the elaboration of projects/implementations and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Work with Application Management Services (AMS) teams and other partners, and contribute toward continuous improvement and application maintenance activities.

• Develop and provide standards and best practices to the PMO and support teams for project delivery and application maintenance.

• Participate in relevant implementations and continuous improvement initiatives, including design, configuration, testing and implementation.

• Ensure specifications are matching business requirements. Supervise and guide key resources for the development and testing phases.

• Develops functional specifications and design specifications.

• Support peer review of design standards and specifications.

• Acquire knowledge of emerging functionality / solutions, and contribute to their successful implementation within the businesses, where appropriate.

• Govern the transition and handoff from the project delivery team to the application support team.

• Support the data analytics team in providing data domain expertise in developing business intelligence reports.

• Assist with the resolution of complex application support and maintenance issues, where relevant.

• Contribute to decisions on product, tool, and method selection, providing input on industry trends.

• Supports the business and SAP Business Advisers / Partners.

• Support organizational change management functions in the development and delivery of end user training, change impact assessments and job aids.

• Suggest improvements for the solutions maintenance/operation.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• University degree or equivalent in experience.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP configuration experience in SAP eWM and preferably one end to end implementation cycle in an SAP implementation or a roll out project.

• Good understanding of EWM’s integration with other SAP modules especially with TM,SD and MM.

• Having knowledge of SAP LE module is an asset but not mandatory.

• Base knowledge of warehouse management, warehouse organization structure, putaway strategies, picking strategies, wave management, physical inventory, integration with RF devices (mobile data entry).

• Demonstrate expertise in SAP Extended Warehouse Management functionalities and capable of designing and implementing SAP best practices.

• Perform an active role in internal and external brainstorming and management meetings to bring our technical solutions to the next level.

• Experience working with third-party integrations with SAP,good understanding of EDI and IDOC messages.

• Understanding of S4 HANA processes.

• Experience with cutover, go-live and data migration.

• Experience with international and large-scale projects.

• Training skills to share and transmit your know-how to your peers.

• Interest in international trade and commerce.

• Dynamic, innovative and problem resolution focus with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to constantly adapt and perform in ever evolving environments and business realities.

• You’re able to work in French and English (written and oral).

La dynamique de votre équipe :

Genetec est présentement à la recherche d’un(e) analyste fonctionnel(elle). Nous cherchons une personne dynamique et efficace qui aime travailler dans un milieu où tout évolue rapidement. En tant qu’analyste fonctionnel(elle), vous serez chargé(e) de concevoir des solutions fondées sur l’analyse des besoins opérationnels. Cela inclut d’effectuer une analyse des lacunes, d’évaluer la faisabilité d’une solution, de préparer la documentation technique et fonctionnelle de la conception, et d’interagir avec l’architecte de solutions, les développeurs, l’analyste de l’assurance qualité et l’analyste d’entreprise afin que cette solution soit conforme aux besoins opérationnels. • Faire les suivis et s’assurer que les problèmes de logiciel sont résolus
• Enrichir la base de connaissances des systèmes Genetec et participer au développement du cadre de mise en œuvre et aux activités de gestion en s’appuyant sur la méthode Kanban

Ce qui fait de vous un excellent candidat :

• Connaissances et compréhension approfondies des produits Microsoft Dynamics (D365 Finance et Operation) et du logiciel de gestion de la relation client
• Au moins 5 années d’expérience pertinente
• De 2 à 3 années d’expérience en configuration et gestion de logiciels de planification des ressources de l’organisation
• Expérience avec la mise en œuvre ou la mise à niveau de logiciels de planification des ressources de l’organisation
• Capacité d’agir à titre d’agent du changement, solides compétences interpersonnelles et accent sur le service à la clientèle

Your team’s dynamic:

Genetec is currently looking for a Functional Analyst. We are looking for a dynamic and efficient individual who loves to work in a fast-paced environment. You will allow Genetec to distinguish itself by providing its customers and business partners with value-added tools and portals. These new tools and portals will be closely linked to the various systems (e.g., ERP, CRM) already in place at Genetec.

As a Functional Analyst, you will be responsible for designing solutions based on the business requirement analysis. This includes performing Gap Analysis, evaluating the feasibility of a solution, preparing technical and functional design documentation, and interacting with the solutions Architect, developers, QA Analyst and Business Analyst to ensure solution is align with the business requirements. You will create functional design documents that include mock-up and technical details of the solution to facilitate handoff to the dev team.

This position requires attention to detail and the ability to align requirements with system capabilities.

Your day at a glance:

• Develop and maintain effective relationships and interactions with all actors involves
• Develop Functional Design Documentation that details the solutions required in detail
• Create functional specification and prepare wireframes/flowcharts
• Review Solution design with the Development team to translate into actionable work items
• Analyze the existing systems and highlight areas of improvement
• Oversee the development of the product as per the specifications
• Contribute to project management activities
• Facilitate change and configuration management and create configuration document
• Monitor performance, discover variances and propose necessary actions
• Follow up and ensure that software defects are resolved
• Contribute to the Genetec Information Systems knowledge base, the development of the delivery framework and project management activities using Kanban methodologies

What makes you a great fit:

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, or equivalent
• Deep knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Dynamics products (D365 Finance and Operation) and CRM
• 5+ years of pertinent experience
• 2 to 3 years of experience in configuring and managing ERP
• Experience with ERP implementation or upgrade
• Ability to act as change agent, solid interpersonal skills and focused on customer service
• Experience in multinational business environment
