The Loss Prevention (LP) Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of area Loss Prevention personnel and programs. The Supervisor monitors inventory loss and crime trends, ensures department and store shrink objectives are met, oversee investigations, and ensures appropriate incident response at area locations.

Job Description
The Loss Prevention Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of the loss prevention team to ensure high standards of operational performance, service delivery, and safety. This includes conducting regular site visits, managing staff performance, supporting scheduling needs, and maintaining effective communication with both clients and internal teams. The Supervisor plays a critical role in elevating the quality of reporting and documentation, responding to incidents, and occasionally filling in for LPO or Tactical shifts when required. This role also focuses on fostering a positive team environment and ensuring a secure, efficient, and client-focused operation.
What you would do
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance, quality, and adherence to protocols
- Oversee and support the performance management of the Loss Prevention team
- Coach and mentor officers to improve incident and daily report writing standards
- Generate and analyze statistical reports related to incidents, trends, and staff performance
- Assist with staff scheduling and shift coverage, including working shifts when needed
- Collaborate with the Client Services Manager to support operational goals and project needs
- Respond to emergencies and support incident investigations as required
- Ensure officers maintain a professional presence and customer service standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Client Services Manager
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Frequency and quality of site visits and audits
- Timely and effective performance reviews and feedback for team members
- Measurable improvement in officer report writing quality
- Timeliness and accuracy of stat/report submissions
- Shift coverage efficiency and scheduling effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid BC Security Worker's License (BST completed)
- Valid AST (Advanced Security Training) Certificate
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with clean driver's abstract and reliable transportation
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the security industry
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Loss Prevention
- At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience, preferably in security or loss prevention settings
- Strong communication, leadership, and report-writing skills
- Proficient in incident reporting systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Customer service experience, particularly in retail or fast food settings, is an asset
- Experience or interest in law enforcement is considered a strong asset
- Basic understanding of retail security features
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and covering operational shifts when required

Loss Prevention Officer - Full Time
Responsibilities:
The Loss Prevention Officer position is well-suited for a highly capable security and investigations professional that thrives on working within a team environment.
Duties include:
- Shifts at store locations conducting surveillance, investigation, and maintenance of loss prevention systems
- Identifying areas of loss and working on team shrink reduction plans
- Detection and apprehension of persons committing criminal offences against the company
- Securing evidence, report writing & document preparation for court testifying purposes
- Special assignments including lock repair, key control, staff awareness and orientation
- Maintaining the overall security of our locations
- We have an extensive in-house training program (in BC we are an accredited BST training provider). While we are eager to develop our people, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to stay calm and respond with good judgment in emergency situations
- A commitment and history of protecting people and property in a safe and legal manner
- Demonstrated ability to work under strict confidentiality
- High ethical standards and a commitment to personal and professional integrity
- Good command of the English language, both written and verbal, required for report writing and court testimony
- A valid Class 5 drivers license and own vehicle
- Availability and willingness to work at all locations and surrounding areas
- Previous Loss Prevention experience or other related experience within the Criminal Justice system would be an asset
- Previous security related education, professional accreditation, first aid and first responder training is an asset
- Use of force and restraining device training is an asset
- Provincial security worker license, or the ability to obtain one before commencing work
This is a Full Time position, 40 hours per week. Employees must be available to work a flexible schedule, Monday through Sunday.
