The Role
The Engagement Manager is responsible for ensuring the consistent application of project management discipline and practices from initiation through project completion and close-out. The Engagement Manager manages assigned projects typically ranging from $50K- 3MM and is responsible for the successful delivery of all tactical and strategic aspects of a project. The Engagement Manager is also responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing additional opportunities which enhance our customers experience.


Travel/ Visa & Other Requirements
Travel to client sites is a requirement of this role. Candidates must have a flexible travel schedule and be willing to commit to 100% travel. The Engagement Manager may be assigned to work with Trindent clients anywhere in the world and must be able to qualify for a TN Visa. Successful candidates must be Canadian / US passport holders.

Responsibilities
Develop/review project proposals and plans to determine timeframe, staffing requirements and resource allocation, project structure and implementation strategies and collaborate with Project Leadership to identify and mitigate project risks
Confer with project staff to outline work plans and to assign responsibilities and workstream scope and actively review status reports and modify schedules or plans as necessary
Deliver project status reports to management, clients and/or other necessary stakeholders
Establish and maintain effective client engagement with client project team
Effectively manage conflicts and ensure timely resolution of issues that could affect project success
Actively monitor the delivery of project milestones and sustainable results to ensure that results are delivered on-time-in-full and within budget
Participate in delivery of training programs and act as a mentor and coach for Operations professionals by providing performance feedback and support of their development plans
Participate in or lead internal improvement initiatives as required and ensure team compliance to all internal policies and procedures
Perform other responsibilities as necessary


Do you have the skills to be successful in this role?
An MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree, or a bachelors degree and relevant work experience in the Oil & Gas, Refinery or associated Energy industries.
A minimum of Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified
3+ years of experience in operations management consulting required
2+ years of experience of successfully managing workstreams
2+ years of project management processes and methodologies
Demonstrable experience in continuous process improvement
Advanced proficiency in and knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (An Excel test is a standard part of our assessment process)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal and relationship building skills
Ability to remain flexible and to successfully adapt to a variety of working environments, and be able to engage and motivate individuals within all levels of an organization

+ Develop and evaluate plans for major projects.
+ Utilize front end loading process and best practices to facilitate cost effective process engineering and project development.
+ Lead development of all process design calculations and develop deliverables such as hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, process simulations, Heat and Material Balances (H&MB), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
+ Lead Process Engineering design activities on projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
+ May assess feasibility or soundness of proposed applications when data is insufficient, or testing is advisable.
+ Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
+ Perform work which involves conventional engineering practices but may involve a variety of complex features.
+ May coordinate departmental and divisional project studies and report preparation assignments.
+ Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff members.
+ Regularly meets and corresponds with clients or outside personnel.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related degree from an accredited program. May also have a bachelor's degree in chemical or related engineering technology from an accredited university.
+ A master's degree in chemical engineering may also substitute for 1 year of experience.
+ 7 years of process engineering experience with lead EPC project experience in refining strongly preferred.
+ Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures. Strong knowledge of process design codes (ASME, ANSI, API, PIP, NACE).
+ Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
+ Experience in process simulation software (i.e. Hysys and/or Aspen, HTRI) is preferred.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.
+ Ability to travel.
+ This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments. Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.
+ Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) License required.

The Role
Under the leadership of an Engagement Manager, Trindent Senior Consultants apply their expertise to review client processes and identify improvement avenues that will enhance client productivity. Travel/ Visa & Other Requirements
Travel to client sites is a requirement of this role. Candidates must have a flexible travel schedule and be willing to commit to 100% travel.

Responsibilities
Perform data analysis, process observations and client interviews with the goal of identifying process barriers and opportunities.
Perform research, causal analysis and formulate hypothesis on product, service, and process workflows.
Increase employee productivity by reducing workload fluctuations, developing tools, cross-training back-office staff, eliminating manual processes, adapting responsibilities to maximize employee skill sets and driving employee accountability throughout key business processes.
Critically assess client management systems, forecasting, scheduling, process control, tools, data, inputs, information quality, and reporting mechanisms.
Conduct observations, identify areas for improvement, and design tools to enhance managers ability to drive overall profitability of the area.
Perform complex financial modeling to express the impact of operational changes in real dollars.
Evaluate dynamic and static measurement issues and concerns.
Confer with project staff to outline work plans, assign responsibilities and work-stream scope, actively review status reports, and modify schedules or plans as necessary.
Adhere to standards to ensure sustainable and predictable results for the client.
Establish and maintain effective client engagement with client project team.
Coach and mentor floor-level client management to adopt changes and actively manage areas.
Participate in delivery of training programs and act as a mentor for Consultant-level staff.
Perform other responsibilities as required.


Do you have the skills to be successful in this role?


A Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering science specific to the Oil & Gas or Refinery industry, relevant process plant optimization and energy management project experience.
A minimum of 5 years consulting experience in an implementation-based management consulting firm.
Demonstrable (highlighted on your resume) knowledge of processes improvement methodologies with a focus on operational KPIs, active management, and continuous process improvement.
A minimum of 5 years experience in data mining and data analysis skills in Excel.
Advanced proficiency in and knowledge of MS Office Suite.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with clients and colleagues.
Ability to work in ambiguous situations, remain flexible, and to successfully adapt to a variety of working environments.
Clear understanding and following of business ethics and professionalism.
Availability/ flexibility for frequent travel.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Term Sheet Negotiation: Lead negotiations of commercial terms with a focus on optimizing royalty rates, payment schedules, and audit protections. Work closely with legal teams to draft final agreements.
  • Opportunity Assessment: Evaluate deal quality both technically and commercially, using production data, reserve estimates, and operator financials to ensure IRR targets and downside risk management. Coordinate with internal diligence and modeling teams to validate assumptions.
  • Strategic Execution: Build and refine Lumida’s investment strategy targeting stranded wells, reactivations, and off-grid bitcoin mining powered by natural gas.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent Lumida at CAPP and other Alberta energy events. Expand industry presence, track macro and micro trends, and generate educational content to establish Lumida’s thought leadership in royalties.


What We’re Looking For

  • Strong history of originating and executing royalty or asset deals worth $0M–$5 M+
  • Great experience at E&P companies, royalty acquisition firms, A&D advisory shops, or energy-focused investment roles
  • Deep familiarity with Alberta’s oil & gas market structure, production dynamics, and operator economics
  • Ability to interface with executives, negotiate win-win terms, and lead with integrity
