Our client, an innovator in Construction IoT, is seeking a dedicated Hardware Product Engineer to drive the end-to-end development of their industry-redefining products. You will be instrumental in the full product lifecycle - from design optimization and prototyping to system integration and validation - collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
Execute detailed electrical and mechanical design activities using simulation, CAD modeling, prototyping, and validation to deliver exceptional products.
Define and execute comprehensive validation test plans for new and existing products.
Design and build test jigs and fixtures for sensor characterization and automated testing.
Develop and validate firmware/software for Linux and embedded systems, including creating test cases for official releases.
Engage directly with customers during design, testing, implementation, and post-deployment support.
Lead supply chain initiatives, including drafting specifications, managing RFQs, and coordinating with vendors.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Systems Design Engineering.
~3+ years of programming experience in Python.
~ Proven expertise with SolidWorks or a comparable 3D CAD software.
~ Proven ability to design ruggedized products for harsh industrial environments.
Familiarity with FEA simulation using SolidWorks Simulation or similar tools.

• Lead HW development projects and advise and mentor other HW team members.

Summary:

Mircom is seeking talented, independent individuals that have previous experience in analog, digital and mixed signal circuit design. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical and electronic systems for a variety of cutting-edge projects. Technical Skills:

• Experienced in designing, simulating, and troubleshooting mixed-signal circuits, including low-noise analog front-ends, power regulation, microcontroller/DSP interfaces, and high-speed digital logic. Skilled with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, KiCAD).Experience with mCAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) a plus.

Knowledge:Understanding of electronic circuit theory and practical design principles for both analog and digital systems in high reliability environments. Proficient in using simulation tools such as SPICE (LTspice, PSpice), Multisim, and behavioral modeling to validate performance, analyze signal integrity, and optimize designs before prototyping. Understanding of mechanical systems, control systems, and robotics an asset.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.

Quantum Hardware Engineer Experienced

• Lead the conceptual design, simulation, and validation of advanced superconducting quantum circuits.
• Lead experimental effort on characterization, calibration and/or control of quantum devices and processors.
• Optimize layout and design workflows using the Anyon Systems toolkit and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with R&D, nanofabrication, and systems teams to align hardware development with system-level goals.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, design reports, and contribute to roadmap planning.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 25 years of industry experience in quantum hardware or superconducting devices.
• Proven track record in developing and validating quantum circuit designs.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or C++, especially in scientific or simulation contexts.
• Deep understanding of microwave engineering, quantum optics, and superconducting quantum circuits.
• Hands-on experience with nanofabrication processes involving superconducting materials.
• Experience with design validation using FEM or equivalent simulation tools.
