Who you are and what you’ll do

We’re looking for a versatile content marketer who sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. This is not a purely strategic leadership role, nor is it an entry-level content creator position. You’ll be our in-house content expert, turning business goals into compelling content that educates, inspires, and converts — and you’ll write much of it yourself.

You’ll be expected to bring ideas to the table, take a top-down strategy and run with it, and own the delivery of high-quality content across the full funnel. This is a high-impact role where you’ll shape how Mappedin shows up to our key audiences — and your work will be visible across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and evolve Mappedin’s content strategy across blog, website, email, social, and more
  • Write and publish compelling content across formats: blog posts, case studies, whitepapers, product pages, email campaigns, landing pages, and sales enablement materials
  • Own and manage the content calendar, aligned with campaign timelines, launches, and strategic goals
  • Optimize content for SEO/LLM and performance metrics using AI tools and analytics
  • Contribute ideas for new content formats, campaigns, and creative experiments
  • Track and report on content performance with actionable insights to guide future work
  • Ensure all content maintains a consistent brand tone and message

What you bring

  • 3–5 years of experience in B2B SaaS content marketing
  • A strong portfolio of high-performing content you’ve personally written or produced
  • Proven ability to take a brief (or high-level goal) and turn it into great content with minimal oversight
  • Strong grasp of SEO & LLM fundamentals, buyer personas, and the B2B buyer journey
  • Experience with CRMs and marketing platforms like HubSpot, Google Analytics, and AI writing tools
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • A collaborative mindset and the confidence to work independently
  • Bonus: familiarity with the indoor mapping, location tech, or proptech space

What are some challenges?

We move fast and sometimes change directions. We can’t always wait for all the information before we try something. If you want us to guarantee exactly what you’ll be working on three months from now, we can’t give you that. On the other hand, there is a lot of high value work to do, and it won’t be boring. There is a lot of discovery work involved as we frequently do things that are ahead of current technology.

One of our values is playing for the team so you may need to sometimes put aside personal objectives in order to help meet more urgent company objectives, but others will do the same for you.

Behind the scenes

At Mappedin, we don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach to how we work. While we are a remote-first company with colleagues around the globe, some roles are best suited for full-time, in-person work at our home office in Waterloo. We are committed to getting things done and holding each other accountable. We stay curious, embrace risks, and learn from our mistakes. We’re competitive and enjoy winning together as a team.

We welcome applications from people with disabilities. We provide reasonable accommodations for candidates upon request through the recruitment process. For additional information, please email us at or call us at ( and ask to speak to a member of the Human Resources team.

Job Description

About Craver

Hey! We’re Craver, a Canadian tech startup transforming local coffee shops & QSRs with our cutting-edge digital ordering & customer loyalty technology.

Digital ordering tech like mobile apps & loyalty programs have fuelled the success of big brands like Starbucks, McDonald's and ShakeShack – we're hiring a Content Marketing Specialist to help us bring that same technology to local, independent coffee shops & QSRs worldwide.

Oh — and we’re a great place to work, officially! We’ve been recognized as both a 2022-23 Workplace Culture Leader and a 2022 Great Place to Work winner. Not bad for a company that’s only a few years old.

What We’re Looking For

We’re on the road to making Craver famous, and we’re hunting for a Content Marketing Specialist to help us make it happen. We’re a fast-growing company in a super competitive market, and we know that the only way to win is by standing out from the crowd. So we’re looking for someone with the energy, creativity & insatiable appetite for learning to help make our marketing really sing.

With support from Craver’s Director of Marketing and Content Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for executing the campaigns & strategies that will make Craver easier than ever to find, understand and want — from SEO, to YouTube, to short-form video, and even on Reddit. You’ll oversee the production of detailed articles & downloadable guides, educational videos, digital ads, and everything in between. The aim of the game is to produce content that resonates, inspires and stands out from the crowd, always.

Your Personal Qualities
  • You’re genuinely curious about the world of coffee shops and QSRs — maybe you’ve worked behind the counter or are just a coffee-lover.
  • You’re creative, but you care about the numbers too. You know that marketing is only meaningful if it changes people’s behaviour, so you measure things meticulously – from click-through-rates to conversions.
  • You’re fiercely ambitious – you want work that keeps you challenged and energized, not waiting for the day to be done.
  • You love to learn – you’re comfortable taking on new projects you’ve never done before, receiving regular feedback on your work, and spending time deep in research.
  • Communication is your forte. You can confidently articulate ideas, defend them, and you’re comfortable asking for help when you need it.
  • You’re naturally tech-savvy and quick to explore new tools – AI, CMS platforms, email builders, you name it.
  • You're a creative spirit – the idea of spending your days drafting newsletters and reviewing article edits gets you jazzed.
  • You take pride in your work. You aim for the highest impact, not just ticking off tasks.
  • You crave autonomy, flexibility and freedom in your work. You’re at ease with motivating and managing yourself to achieve your goals.
The Role & Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Content Marketing Manager and other teams to create standout content that speaks to our audience of QSR & coffee shop owners and helps us meet our marketing goals.
  • Take ownership of Craver’s keyword-led SEO strategy, making sure that coffee shop owners searching for solutions find Craver quickly & easily – through blogs, landing pages & videos, and a detailed understanding of what people are searching for & why.
  • Create genuinely valuable downloadable content with supporting lead nurturing sequences, moving our audience from browsers to buyers, making data-informed optimisations along the way.
  • Coordinate Craver’s video production engine, creating engaging & educational videos that help coffee shop owners to grow their businesses, while growing Craver’s too.
  • Launch a brand new Reddit strategy, helping us figure out how Craver can be most helpful to coffee shop owners on the platform in a sincere & authentic way.
  • Own Craver’s newsletter & blog from end-to-end, creating a flow of content for our customers that keeps them inspired and informed.
  • Deep-dive into campaign results, spotting what’s working (and what’s not), and using data to help shape what we do next.
  • Work side-by-side with our designers to build out creative assets for ads and other campaigns.
  • Keep our clients in the loop with clear, thoughtful comms for new feature releases, quarterly updates, and anything else they should know.

Requirements

Your Skills & Experience
  • You’ve got a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English Literature, or something similar — or you’ve picked up the right skills through other meaningful experience.
  • You’ve spent at least 2 years in a content marketing role. If that’s been in a B2B SaaS environment, even better.
  • You care deeply about results — you’re focused on impact, not just activity, and always think about how content can ultimately help us win & retain more customers.
  • You’re a strong writer who can take complex ideas and turn them into clear, compelling content — whether it’s a punchy ad, a detailed guide, or anything in between.
  • You’ve got a sharp eye for detail and can spot a double space or awkward sentence from a mile away.
  • You know how to shape content to match different tones, voices, and audiences — and you enjoy the challenge of getting it just right.
  • You don’t just hit publish and hope for the best — you’re always looking at the numbers to see what’s working and how you can improve.
  • You’re familiar with SEO principles and know how to weave them into content without making it sound like a robot wrote it.
  • You’re great at juggling projects, managing deadlines, and staying organized — even when things get busy.
  • You work well with others — you’re comfortable collaborating with people across teams like marketing, product, and support to get the job done.
