THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for Registered Care Aides to join our Braddan Private Hospital team in Vancouver, B.C. We are currently hiring casual employees at this time.

PRIMARY DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide holistic personal, emotional and psychosocial care to residents
· Provide personal hygiene, oral care, skincare, toileting, bathing, feeding, dressing, and grooming
· Use a variety of specialized equipment such as electric beds, mechanical lifts, tubs, and wheelchairs
· Actively participate in facility meetings and education programs.
· Assist in admission, discharge, and transfer of residents.
· Be fluent in verbal, written, and electronic communication in English
· Ensure highest resident safety and well-being
· Monitor, report, and document changes in resident’s health status
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an approved Care Aide, RCA, Nursing assistant, or PSW program
- Registered and in good standing with the BC Care Aide Registry
- Current First Aid, WHMIS, and Food Safe Certificates.
- Must be in good health and be physically able to perform all aspects of the position.
- Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred.
- Proof of full vaccination

- Monday – Sunday 7am -2:45 pm,
- Monday – Sunday 3pm – 10:45pm
- Monday – Sunday 11pm – 6:45am

QualificationsYou are a dynamic and reliable person; you have good communication and interpersonal skills. Your schedule is flexible, and you have good analytical and decision-making skills. You are committed to quality assurance and safety.
During your mandate, you will be asked to clean offices, patient/resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, lobbies, food service areas, and any other areas that may require special attention such as critical care areas. You will be required to sweep, mop, buff floors and vacuum hallways, stairways and offices. You will also be asked to clean ceilings, air vents, walls, furniture, windows and window coverings. You will be responsible for emptying garbage cans and containers, restocking supplies, linen and changing sheets as well as wiping and disinfecting all vertical and horizontal surfaces including High Touch point areas. You may also be asked to clean carpets or polish floors using the appropriate mechanical equipment. You will be requested to move furniture and set up tables and chairs.
You will need to properly and safely use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer and Sodexo standards. Specialized cleaning equipment and techniques may be required.
It will be your responsibility to perform routine pre-use inspections of equipment. You will be requested to communicate to your supervisor the need for repairs.
You will be attending training programs (classroom and virtual), requested to comply with company safety and risk management policies and procedures, perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
High school diploma, DEC or equivalent experience is required. 1 year of experience is preferred. Previous cleaning experience an asset but not a requirement.
