As an equipment operator with us the minimum responsibilities are:
Safely operate heavy equipment including landfill compactors, D8 bulldozers, excavators, and Articulated Dump Trucks.
Undertaking the daily placement, compaction and covering of non-hazardous solid waste at our landfill.
Continually provide a high level of customer service, communicating verbally with landfill customers in a clear and courteous manner.
Perform all fluid level checks, fueling, greasing, undercarriage cleaning, etc. as required to maintain clean, working equipment.
Completing daily pre and post equipment inspections and communicating any defects or repairs needed with the maintenance shop.
Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety, cleanliness, and environmental practices.
**Schedule: 4 x 12-hour shift: get 1 day off during the week! Saturday shift scheduled every 5th week (4 days a week 12 hours a day.
Rotating days off and Saturday work)**
**What We Need From You as a Heavy Equipment Operator:**
3+ yearsu2019 experience running heavy equipment such as bulldozers and loaders
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance

Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate and perform PM's on log handling equipment consisting of mobile equipment.
* Operating shift will be determined based on business needs.
