**What you will be doing:**
- Contribute to the development of study documents as appropriate as well as any updates/amendments, ensuring template and version compliance.
- Lead the preparation of country specific agreements, confidentiality agreements, clinical trial applications and other applicable country documents.
- Manage the set-up of third-party vendors assessing initial statement of work and budget, as well as the change order process.
- Provide input to data management documents (e.g. Case Report Form, Data Validation Specifications), and interface with data management representatives and sites to facilitate the delivery of study data.
- Initiate contract/budget requests and track ongoing status; facilitate generation of purchase orders, review vendor invoices and assist in tracking spend against approved budget.
- Ensure the supply of Investigational product and study materials by liaising with Drug Supply or external service providers as appropriate.
- Oversight of third party vendors, global / local internal staff and investigator sites to support effective delivery of a study and its regulatory documents from development of the protocol through to the Clinical Study Report.
- Provide oversight of and support recruitment and data delivery as well as risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist in the clinical trial insurance process; track approvals, revisions and renewals of certificates.
- Monitor study conduct and progress, proactively identifying and resolving issues which may impact delivery of the study to the necessary quality, timelines or budget.
- Support risk management and quality efforts to ensure study compliance.
- Support set-up, maintenance, closeout and archiving of the Trial Master File (TMF), ensuring continual inspection readiness.
- Prepare presentation material for meetings, newsletters and websites.
- Support the study team in the implementation of audits and regulatory inspections.
- Contribute to review of new/amended/unique SOPs and guidance documents.
Your Profile
- University degree / Bachelor's degree, preferably in medical or biological science, or discipline associated with Clinical Research, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years clinical trial management experience
- Experience of working with and delivering through strategic partners and 3rd party vendors
- Experience in oncology/hematology (blood cancers)
- Experience working on a global level
- Candidate must reside in Eastern Canada - limited travel may be required
- Experience in external provider oversight and management

The Medical Director Hematology represents Regeneron in its Medical Affairs and Clinical Development functions in country. The incumbent provides scientific and medical leadership by thoroughly understanding the assigned Hematology assets and serving as a key medical resource.
Working in a multifunctional, matrix organization with Global and US teams, the Medical Director Hematology is responsible for strategic medical operations in Hematology in the country. The Medical Director Hematology aligns with the Country Medical Director and ensures that such medical and clinical activities in country are aligned with overarching global strategies, goals and operations.
You will work in a **multifunctional, matrix organization** within the medical affairs group, as well as with colleagues in clinical development, operations, regulatory, commercial, access & reimbursement, and patient advocacy. You will also collaborate with external partners such as healthcare practitioners, research groups, payers, and alliance partners.
**In this role, a typical day may include the following:**
+ **Scientific engagement** with external communities to educate and advance scientific and medical understanding of Hematology disease areas, including the management of disease, standards of patient care, and roles of our medicines.
+ **Building strong working relationships** with external partners, including patient groups and professional organizations.
+ Continuously maintaining **deep scientific and medical knowledge** in Hematology, as well as a deep understanding of patient and physician interactions and clinical decision-making.
+ **Representing Regeneron** in scientific engagement with external communities to advance understanding of our medicines, disease management, and patient care.
+ Proactively bringing **patients' and physicians' voices** from a local perspective to cross-functional teams to ensure that Regeneron medicines meet their needs, while considering external stakeholders.
+ **Acting as an effective Regeneron representative** by interacting with external experts and attending professional/medical meetings as the in-country representative for Hematology products.
+ Collaborating to create the **medical strategy** and executing it with appropriate content for congresses, symposia, and advisory boards, facilitating and executing such activities in Canada.
+ Delivering **scientific presentations** to diverse audiences (e.g., physicians, pharmacists, nurses, payers, agencies, and other key stakeholders) in various meetings and activities.

+ Excellent medical communication skills and a thorough understanding of the healthcare environment, including external partners.
+ Disease area expertise and medical and/or clinical experience, with demonstrated understanding of medical affairs accountabilities for evidence generation, external engagement, and internal advice.
+ Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
+ Proficiency in both English and French (spoken and written) is a valuable asset.

PeaceHealth is seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician who could provide per diem coverage based in beautiful Sedro-Woolley, Washington located half-way between Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia.
Unique opportunity to be part of a larger oncology team in a beautiful, growing community where patients value their physicians and health caregivers. The ideal candidate will be Board Certified.

_A 25-bed critical access hospital, PeaceHealth United General Medical Center offers advanced treatment options and short hospital stays. Comprehensive cancer care is provided at PeaceHealth United General's Cancer Center and a variety of surgical procedures is available at the Surgery & Orthopedics Center. Primary and specialty care is provided by PeaceHealth Medical Group._
**Job Summary**
Demonstrates compassion, respect and caring while working within the scope of practice of Physician to provide safe and efficient care to patients and assistance to their families and visitors. Works collaboratively with all other healthcare team members toward the best outcomes for the patient and the organization. Provides professional services to the hospital and its patients.
**Essential Functions**
+ Practice of medicine within the scope of license, training and credentialing.
+ Practice of medicine in accordance with the current standards of care as well as the quality criteria adopted by the clinic.
+ Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients served by demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
**Education**
+ Accredited School of Medicine Required.
+ Required: completion of Internship/Residency Program in area of specialty.
**Experience**
+ Required: Computer experience
**Credentials**
+ Required: Licensed to practice as a physician in the State, and board certified or board eligible and
+ Required : Drug Enforcement Admin Federal Number and
+ Required : Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
**Skills**
+ Demonstrated expertise in clinical management of patients. (Required)
+ Maintains current knowledge and skills with continuing education. (Required)

+ Able to work varied hours; rigorous on-call and call-back schedule. (Required)

+ Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH).
+ Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures.
+ Perform hands on CPR at least 20 mins using 100-125 lbs. of force (National Assoc. of EMS Physicians and AHA) Frequency should be seldom or occasionally.
+ Ability to move around area with frequent sitting.
+ Bending/ stooping / reaching occasionally.
+ Lifting (non-patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently.

+ Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles.

**Summarized Purpose:**
Provides medical oversight of clinical trials to ensure company SOPs, client directives, good clinical practice, and regulatory requirements are followed. Attends and presents at investigator and sponsor meetings, provides medical consultation to clients, investigators and project team members and supports business development activities. Provides medical review and analysis for clinical trial serious adverse events, marketed products ICSR and periodic safety reports (e.g. PBRER, PSUR, DSUR) as well as other client deliverables (e.g. labelling reconciliation documents, CTD modules, REMS, RMP and CSR).
**General Support:**
Ensures tasks delegated to pharmacovigilance are properly executed. Adheres to applicable regulations and ICH guidelines regarding clinical trials, regulatory documents, and safety issues. Adheres to client SOPs/directives and project specific WPDs for assigned projects. Adheres to PPDu2019s corporate policies and SOPs/WPDs. Provides medical consultation to team members and answer all study related medical questions. Communicates clearly with associates and clients, maintaining an open line of communication to ensure all procedures are followed appropriately. Provides therapeutic training and protocol training on assigned studies, as requested. Performs data review as specified in the client contract and data validation manual including review of coding listings and/or full safety data to assess for potential safety concerns. Assists in writing (interpretation of safety and efficacy data) and/or review of CSR, IND/NDA report, ICSR, signal detection reports, periodic reports, RMP, REMS, CTD modules, etc. to ensure that the medical content is accurate and complete. Contributes to departmental process improvement initiatives.
**Clinical Trial Support:**
Monitors all safety variables (AE, laboratory abnormalities, changes in patient medical status, evaluation of prescribed concomitant medication for protocol restrictions, and un-blinding requests) of clinical studies. Discusses all medical concerns with principal investigators and clients (e.g. discussion regarding interpretation of inclusion/exclusion criteria) raised during the course of a study, using proper medical judgment in the interpretation and decision making with regard to clinical situations as they relate to the investigational study. Provides medical review of adverse events of special interest, serious adverse events and clinical outcomes events reported by study sites
**Marketed Products Support:**
Manages signal detection activities, scientifically reviews aggregate reports, contributes to label updates, supports dossier maintenance and risk management activities. Medically reviews adverse event and serious adverse event data from all sources (solicited, spontaneous, literature, etc) as contracted.
**Education and Experience:**
MD required with specialization/formal training in Oncology or Hemato-Oncology (active medical license and board certifications are preferred, but not required).
Clinical experience in treating patients associated with the applicants training (comparable to 2 years)
**and one**
of the following:
Suitable clinical trial experience in a Contract Research Organization, pharmaceutical company or as a principal investigator (comparable to 1-2 years) in the industry; Or
Direct experience in safety/Pharmacovigilance medical monitoring (comparable to 2 years).
_In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role._
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**
Therapeutic expertise across one or more medical specialty or sub-specialties (one being Oncology or Hemato-Oncology)
Excellent interpersonal skills, influencing and team building skills
Understanding of guidelines (FDA, ICH, EMA and GCP)
Working knowledge of biostatistics, data management, and clinical operations procedures
Ability to act as a mentor/trainer to other staff within pharmacovigilance
Strong, well supported decision-making, problem solving, organizational skills and analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of relevant safety databases (e.g. MedDRA)
Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally for short periods
Ability to work independently, analyse work with attention to detail, process and prioritize sensitive complex information
Proficiency in computer productivity applications (e.g. word processor, spreadsheets and presentations) required
Fluent in spoken and written English
Capable of multitasking and good organization skills
**Working Conditions and Environment:**
Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
Occasional drives to site locations with occasional travel both domestic and international.
**Physical Requirements:**
Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.
Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
