What You Bring:

  • Safely and efficiently operate company-owned trucks to transport goods between suppliers, Tech-Wood locations, and designated destinations.
  • Load and unload materials from the truck using appropriate equipment and securing loads to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Optimize delivery routes to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring that all safety and maintenance standards are met.
  • Adhere to all applicable traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while on the road.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of driving activities, including hours of service, vehicle inspections, and cargo records.
  • Communicate effectively with the Logistics department to coordinate delivery schedules and update on any delays or issues.
  • Keep accurate records of deliveries: fill out hazard assessments for each job site and obtain customer signatures or proof of delivery as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient processes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and pickups, acting as a representative of the company.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on the truck, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure and ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and cost savings.
  • Follow Health and Safety and Quality policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.
  • May be assigned to do, fill, or help with another task as requested by the Logistics Manager if cross-trained.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 5 Drivers license (will require a drivers abstract).
  • Minimum three years of experience as a professional truck driver.
  • Experience operating a 5-ton truck.
  • Crane operation experience is required.
  • A forklift ticket is an asset.

What will you be doing?

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail customer service or delivery (Minimum 1 year)
  • Passionate about cannabis and accessory product knowledge (willingness to learn)
  • Active listener (we pride ourselves on meeting our customer needs)
  • Ability to create outstanding customer experiences with each interaction
  • Demonstrated dependability with high levels of integrity and personal responsibility
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Consistently maintains customer loyalty and deliver strong retail KPI's
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Open to feedback and coaching
  • High attention to detail (a must have!)

Requirements

  • 19+ years of age
  • Valid CannSell Certificate
  • Background Check

Delivery Driver Requirements

  • Valid G driver's license and clean driver's abstract
  • Own or have access to a reliable vehicle

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
