**Job Description**
**AECOM** is seeking a **Project Manager** for **highway and roadway design projects** to be based in **Markham, Ontario** . The successful candidate will support project delivery in accordance with **MTO (Ministry of Transportation, Ontario) standards and procedures** while gaining leadership experience in transportation infrastructure projects.
**Job Description**
+ Assist in the **management and coordination** of highway and roadway design projects, ensuring compliance with MTO specifications and standards.
+ Support the **preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and estimates** for highway and transportation infrastructure projects.
+ Work closely with **Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians** to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
+ Assist in **project scheduling, cost control, and liaison with the client during contract administration** .
+ Participate in **client meetings and stakeholder coordination** , ensuring effective communication between all parties.
+ Support project **risk management, quality assurance, and compliance** with MTO and industry regulations.

**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
+ **Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering** or a related field.
+ **2+ years of experience** in transportation engineering, highway design, or related infrastructure projects.
**Preferred Qualifications** .
+ **Ideally 6+ years of experience in MTO highway/roadway projects** , including **preliminary and detail design** for transportation projects.
+ Strong understanding of **MTO standards, TAC guidelines, and transportation engineering principles** .
+ Proficiency in **design software** such as **MicroStation, OpenRoads, or AutoCAD Civil 3D** .
+ Knowledge of **project scheduling and management tools** , such as **MS Project or Primavera** .
+ Strong **organizational and communication skills** , with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
+ Experience in **client coordination, report preparation, and proposal development** is an asset.
+ Eligible for **Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensing in Ontario** or already licensed.
+ Prior experience with **business development and proposal writing** is a plus.

Experience with the design of temporary components i.e., shoring and construction sequencing, to facilitate the construction of permanent structures on transportation related projects is considered an asset.
All leaders act as subject matter experts in engineering technologies, methods, and practices by keeping current with emerging trends and market shifts in order to recommend and implement best practices and client-centric solutions. This role will typically oversee and manage a team either on a project or within a department by taking a hands-on approach and by providing guidance to ensure a high level of project delivery and service. What will you do?
Business Development & Client Relations
- Actively leverage existing client relationships and develop new client relationships, to grow the project portfolio.
- Actively coordinate with other individuals and groups in Entuitive for marketing and business development efforts, cross selling between disciplines, work sharing, sharing of expertise, development of technical standards etc.
- Lead as the pursuit champion, providing creative and technical input into proposal development and working closely with the marketing and proposal team to clearly demonstrate Entuitive’s capabilities.

- Responsible for effective project management including managing project budgets and schedules using appropriate project control methods and resourcing plans to meet the needs of project deliverables.
- Active involvement in bid support of contractors including quantity calculations, cost estimating, construction sequencing, and scheduling.
- Review and optimization of project and construction schedules.
- Design and construction administration coordination for multi-disciplinary teams.
- Responsible for client correspondence and communication including fee letters and status reports, ensuring the client and stakeholders are kept abreast of issues and resolutions are timely and well managed.
- Ensuring client requirements are monitored and satisfied throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering specializing in structural/construction engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in delivering transportation or heavy civil design and construction projects.
- P.Eng. and licensed to practice in British Columbia, licenses in other locations are considered an asset.
- Registered as a Struct. Eng., or actively working towards certification is considered an asset
- Knowledgeable of local market conditions, emerging trends, and opportunities.
- Strong business acumen, contract negotiation skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment.

We’re looking for a technically strong and creative transportation engineer to support software development projects. You’ll bridge the gap between engineering and product development — helping define strategy, understand market needs, and guide the technical direction of our solutions.
️ What You’ll Do
Research market needs and support product roadmap planning
Lead technical research and analyze competitor products
Work with developers and stakeholders to translate engineering needs into product features
Create technical documentation (e.g., use cases, specs, test feedback)
Support marketing with white papers, presentations, and blog content
Assist the sales team with technical questions and client interactions
Represent the company at events, client meetings, and conferences
What You Bring
~ Bachelor’s in Transportation Engineering
~ Professional Engineer (P.Eng in Canada or PE in the US)
~3+ years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering post-license
~ Expertise in traffic signal timing, capacity studies, traffic modeling, signage
~ Strong understanding of highway design and traffic operations
~ Proficiency in Synchro, SIDRA, VISSIM, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation
~ Great communication skills and attention to detail
Bonus If You Have:
Experience taking designs from concept to final
Knowledge of modern transportation tech and industry trends
Experience presenting at conferences or writing technical content
