About This Opportunity:
Acting as leader and/or contributing participant on various strategic issues and opportunities facing Canada Packers' businesses (e.g. competitive strategy development, opportunity analysis, business risk analysis, acquisition/divestiture analysis).
Responsibilities:
- Information Gathering: Working at all levels of the organization to solicit input, gather information, discuss/debate options for analysis.
- Qualitative & Quantitative Analysis: Complete business analytics including primary and secondary data gathering, industry and competitor analysis, and financial modelling.
- Synthesis and Documentation: Synthesizing collected information, analytical findings and issues into concise actionable summaries suitable for presentation to senior management /executives.
- Stakeholder Management: Developing fact-based recommendations and action plans on key business issues including managing stakeholder input in the development and approval of recommended actions.
- Interpersonal: Build strong working relationships with other strategy staff, cross functional teams and senior executives to draw information and knowledge for successful strategy design.
- Project Management: Manage major projects to ensure timely delivery of high-quality strategy project deliverables.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in strategic analysis of business opportunities and issues within a top tier consulting firm, banking or within a large global company (strategy consulting / Marketing / Innovation).
- MBA, CA, CMA, or CFA (preferred)
- Strong proven skills in quantitative analysis/modeling
- Ability to work across the organization to produce desired results
- Ability to assess issues/options from a high-level then dive deeply into the analytics to assess options and confirm hypothesis
- Ability to synthesize information from a variety of sources, develop alternative options and assess their impacts
- Ability to interact and build relationships with Senior Executives for presenting issues, options and recommendations
- Ability to lead major projects relatively independently - proven ability of project management for major strategy projects
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with excellent written and verbal communications

- Strong business acumen and fluency in business jargon.
- Experience as a freelancer or working in a start-up.
- Experience using CRM (HubSpot preferred), with an understanding of utilizing technology platforms to drive automation and scalability.
- Spot opportunities for growth and development in accounts.
- Strong ability to set, meet, and exceed KPIs and performance goals.

About the Strategy Director Role
We are seeking a Strategy Director to join our mission. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer and working closely with our cross-functional teams, you'll use your strategic skills, data know-how and CRM expertise to uncover new and better ways for our diverse portfolio of clients to connect with and delight their customers across 1:1 and CRM initiatives and lifecycle programming.
You will lead a variety of projects and programs, going deep to understand the market, the customer, the vertical, the brand, and their points of intersection before synthesizing your customer-first recommendations: Within 1:1 or data-driven channels, how can we best attract, engage, build trust, build loyalty and help the buyer buy?
You will confidently translate strategic insights, pillars and recommendations into briefs and technical requests that inspire big thinking while supporting implementation-to-spec.
And on the other side, you will use your analytical skills to bring clarity to program performance, helping uncover what has worked, with whom, and how we can do better.
Experience we'd like to see:
- 7-9+ years developing 1:1 strategies with a CX or human-first focus, and proven results
- Proven experience driving Email Marketing, Digital Messaging or CRM programs and initiatives, preferably through leading marketing automation platforms (e.g. SFMC)
- Experience using one or more analytics platforms such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
- Experience analyzing data, with prior experience on Power BI, Tableau or Datorama preferred
- Strong communications skills- being able to create and effectively deliver clear and compelling strategy presentations.
- Agency experience preferred
What you will do:
- Lead the intake of client briefs and creation of requested strategy deliverables for a portfolio of clients
- Against client briefs facilitate discovery and lead stakeholder interviews as required to clarify business objectives and determine the scope of the opportunity
- As required, create and facilitate internal and/or client workshops to further drive discovery activities and/or work through proposed strategies to facilitate feedback and buy-in
- Translate business and marketing objectives into KPI frameworks capable of evaluating performance with precision
- Employ a range of second and third-party research tools and tactics to discover or bolster customer insights and opportunities
- Explore and analyze quantitative research and data sets, occasionally working with a data scientist, to evaluate performance, surface key learnings, and / or develop actionable hypotheses
- Synthesize and develop strategic recommendations to build, optimize or extend our clients' 1:1 marketing ecosystems; distill enterprise-scale client challenges into actionable strategies and solutions
- Lead 1:1 journey design (user flows), translating content, data and personalization strategies into an experience blueprint that can then be picked up by a technologist or solution consultant for build
- Confidently prepare presentations and materials which articulate William Thomas Digital's client solutions and strategies; Credibly and capably communicate, present and influence all levels of the client organization
- Capably develop a working understanding of the experience opportunities available through Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Oracle Responsys, and / or other leading Marketing Technology platforms.

Our client is a large company providing legal services across North America and around the world. They are looking for a highly analytical and strategic business leader to join their global pricing efforts. The Director, Pricing Strategy will develop and implement pricing strategies for client's legal work to its clients as well as client-facing software solutions. We are looking for an executive who brings extensive experience crafting pricing strategies, leading pricing initiatives, and successfully executing them in-market.
Position Description
You will join the pricing team and lead strategic pricing initiatives across all of the client’s offices globally. The successful candidate will be comfortable immersing themselves in data to ensure that pricing strategies are rooted in deep data-driving insights. You will operate with conviction and partner extensively with cross-functional teams to gain alignment and enable successful in-market execution. You have the ability to persuade others with a well-defined pricing strategy through data-driven approach. At times you may also be leading high achieving pricing individuals to deliver on your strategies and proposals.
Responsibilities
- Lead pricing initiatives across all aspects of the business
- Contribute to the growth and evolution of the pricing team to drive pricing excellence.
- Work with leadership teams to define and execute pricing initiatives
- Have senior executive presence, and be comfortable leading discussions with all levels of the firm
- Develop pricing strategies rooted in data and with clear ROI
- Work with lawyers, marketing and finance to draft the financial and pricing responses to client RFP submissions
- Drive pricing recommendations through to implementation and results
- Act as a change agent by enabling and influencing stakeholders to pricing recommendations
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team, lawyers, Finance, Business Analytics, Marketing, and IT, as required
- Monitor key metrics and market intelligence to drive insights and identify opportunities for evolving pricing
- Implement a set of best practices and processes that can be used to drive ongoing pricing improvements
Required Knowledge and Experience
- 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role at a Director level, preferably within a professional services firm
- +5 years’ strategic pricing experience in a professional services role
- Executive level expertise in pricing strategy and execution, change management, and client management & development
- Have the drive and motivation to learn and get into the details to build out your strategies
- Excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to persuade, communicate vision and motivate people at every level, cooperative working style
- Ability to manipulate data effectively and present findings to stakeholders
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare concise reports to assist management in making pricing-related decisions and making risk assessments
- Excellent project and time management skills; ability to efficiently manage a variety of concurrent projects and handle conflicting priorities while meeting deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- High level of proficiency in MS office, experience working with Excel and other databases, preferably with SQL
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
