The Smart Components Specialist is the lead commercial resource for the Smart Components business within the Midwest Region. This position will be responsible for ensuring that the following activities occur for the Smart Components business within the Midwest Division:   How You Will Thrive With Us * You will provide customer service and technical support to the Midwest area client base for Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) and Rockwell Encompass products. * You will prepare and follow-up on technical quotations. * You will prepare and execute regional operating and business plans. * You will promote Smart Components solutions by preparing technical seminars for customers and staff. * You will work closely with the industrial outside sales personnel as well as direct on-site customer assistance as required. You will also be responsible for delivering new customer opportunities. * You will promote Westburne as an automation solutions provider by maintaining a high level of technical expertise and presence within our customer base. Who Are You * You have previous sales and presentation experience. * You have a Community College Electrical/Electronic (or Automation) Technician or Technologist diploma. * You have product knowledge of industrial automation products, preferably Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley, as well as understands the complementary product lines with the Smart Components solutions. * Provides selection and design advice for most assigned products in common configurations. * Able to differentiate products/solutions from competition and promote the differences as meaningful benefits to the customer * Strong presentation skills in group and individual situations. * Demonstrates the ability to describe and apply the fundamentals of industrial components, motor control, sensors, safety, condition monitoring, and machine-level controls / architectures (controllers, distributed I/O and networks) in manufacturing environments. * Demonstrated knowledge & understanding of Automation standards & terminology. ** Knowledge of control systems and computer technology. ** Knowledge of Rockwell Automation Integrator Architecture is a plus. * You have core competency for the current technology as it relates to the assigned products. * TÜV or exida certification for Functional Safety is preferred * Hold a valid drivers license and have the ability to travel for sales within Canada and training purposes in the USA. What Youll be Doing!

As aSenior Control Systems Developer , you will contribute to complex engineering projects and products through designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications using object oriented programming, industrial programming, communication protocols and more!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Design, create and maintain product-centric functional PLC and HMI programs.
• Support and maintain development through all stages of the CI/CD lifecycle
• Identifying and implementing operational improvements
• Create and apply innovative algorithms for mechanical and electrical system controls

Who are you?:

• 5+ years of experience in controls and/or software development
• A related degree or diploma inElectrical, Mechatronics, Control or Electronic
• Experienced in all phases of the development life cycle
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills
• Proficient in PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell, etc.)
• Profound understanding of control algorithms and design practices
• Knowledgeable in industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Modbus, CAN etc.)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate to an array of technical and non-technical audiences

**Job Description**
**Main Head of Engineering tasks include:**
- Manage engineering team, defining team strategy, set-up & Key Performance indicators
- Keep high standards in project engineering, efficiency, on time delivery as per EMH rules
- Tracks and manages resource utilization in conjunction with Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure efficiency and ability to meet demand
- Develop Substation Automation Services offerings to contribute to GA service and solutions growth.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Delivery engineering projects on time, as per budget, with highest quality standards
- Analyse and best utilize our automation portfolio options including DS Agile, IEMS, G500, GPG, D20, etc
- Coach engineering team & develop individual & team skills
- Work in close conjunction with the tendering team to ensure timely support as needed on tender estimations and post-delivery project feedback
- Ensure resources optimization & adequate support to Customer projects.
- Development and qualification of external resource contractors to augment skillsets and manage peak loads.
- Interface with customers (internal and external) for most important projects and technical issues resolution
- Ensure full usage of defined Product Line engineering tools with the engineering team, be an active contributor to continuous improvement by sharing enhancement proposals and best practices.
- Define engineering and delivery model strategy for Substation Automation, IEMS and associated site services activities
- Develop & Manage Installed Base data, use it to identify opportunities with Commercial team
- Support interface with central operations and engineering teams for technical priority management
- Be an active contributor to Customer Complaints (ACT or equivalent) solving
- Lead EHS/Safety actions and performance: be fully compliant with GE rules and processes, ensure engineering teams (own and subcontracted) are properly trained and holders of required qualifications when required. Lead to EHS monitoring actions, perform HSV
- Follow GE Vernova compliance Policies ('The Spirit and The Letter') and promote open reporting
- Act as chief operating officer in compliance with engineering regulatory bodies (e.g. APEGA)
- Support Commercial team by return of experience, optimizing engineering costs & deliveries
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
- Bachelor of Engineering degree from an accredited university or college.
- Engineering and Business knowledge, with mandatory experience in Automation activities
- Min 8 years of experience in Electricity and Automation engineering
- Knowledge of Electricity Transmission, Distribution & Industrial markets
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of network communication protocols including; Modbus, OPC (DA, AE, UA), DNP3, IEC61850 etc.
- Knowledge of cyber asset protection regulations effecting the utilities industry including; NERC CIP, NIST
- Capability to manage & motivate an engineering team
- Autonomy & Rigor
- Fully fluent in English
- Willingness to travel 30%

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the individual is responsible for maintaining and optimizing control systems and electrical components within the plant. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of all systems, directly supporting the company's commitment to maintaining the highest standards in food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform reactive, predictive, and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.
• Carry out equipment installations, modifications, wiring, and running conduits as necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with other trades groups to complete project assignments.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.
