You will support the geographical region Guelph north to Owensound back to London area. Reporting to the Regional Automation Manager, you will represent the aforementioned segment of the Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) portfolio of products & services supporting both internal and external customers with in-depth technical and application knowledge while being responsible for the sales performance of their product discipline within the assigned territory. Who Are You * You have an Electrical/Electronic/Automation Technology diploma or degree from a recognized institution. * You have a minimum of 2-years of previous experience in automation or technical product sales/support. * You have an understanding of sales principles such as Strategic Selling, Customer-Centric Selling, Conceptual Selling, etc. * You have strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills * You have a technical understanding of electrical circuits. Working knowledge of industrial automation is preferred. * You have product and application knowledge of Industrial controls and Safety products (Allen-Bradley preferred), associated control, peripherals, Panel design and accessories * You are able to accurately interpret single-line electrical drawings * You have an understanding of industrial networking and Ethernet I/P. * **Valid driver’s license and passport will be required for this position. What Youll be Doing!

As a Control Systems Developer, you will contribute to complex engineering projects and products through designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications using object oriented programming, industrial programming, communication protocols and more!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Design, create and maintain product-centric functional PLC and HMI programs.
• Support and maintain development through all stages of the CI/CD lifecycle
• Identifying and implementing operational improvements
• Create and apply innovative algorithms for mechanical and electrical system controls
• Implementing changes to existing and creating new engineering designs with respect to control systems hardware and software
• Conduct code reviews, regression testing, end-to-end testing, debugging, and more
• Contribute to projects and post-deployment activities by providing technical documentation, adhering to coding standards, and troubleshooting issues.
• Execute on-site control system and software commissioning at global rail locations
  

Who are you?:

• 5+ years of experience in controls and/or software development
• A related degree or diploma inElectrical, Mechatronics, Control or Electronic
• Experienced in all phases of the development life cycle
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills
• Proficient in PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell, etc.)
• Profound understanding of control algorithms and design practices
• Knowledgeable in industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Modbus, CAN etc.)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate to an array of technical and non-technical audiences
• Passion for learning and keeping up to date with new technologies
• Ability to travel and work in industrial environments

Operating under detailed instructions and review the purpose of this position is to provide the essential technical knowledge and perform the work listed. - Conduct review of model using 3D review platform and create 3D models of moderate to advanced complexity
- Apply project drawing standards to design drawings and 3D layout
- Prepare 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of advanced complexity
- Review drawings and vendor equipment documentation of advanced complexity within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
- Perform bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations
- Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures

Salary is based upon experience. Salary Range: $96,500.00 - $179,500.00

**Main Head of Engineering tasks include:**
- Manage engineering team, defining team strategy, set-up & Key Performance indicators
- Keep high standards in project engineering, efficiency, on time delivery as per EMH rules
- Tracks and manages resource utilization in conjunction with Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure efficiency and ability to meet demand
- Develop Substation Automation Services offerings to contribute to GA service and solutions growth.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Delivery engineering projects on time, as per budget, with highest quality standards
- Analyse and best utilize our automation portfolio options including DS Agile, IEMS, G500, GPG, D20, etc
- Coach engineering team & develop individual & team skills
- Work in close conjunction with the tendering team to ensure timely support as needed on tender estimations and post-delivery project feedback
- Ensure resources optimization & adequate support to Customer projects.
- Development and qualification of external resource contractors to augment skillsets and manage peak loads.
- Interface with customers (internal and external) for most important projects and technical issues resolution
- Ensure full usage of defined Product Line engineering tools with the engineering team, be an active contributor to continuous improvement by sharing enhancement proposals and best practices.
- Define engineering and delivery model strategy for Substation Automation, IEMS and associated site services activities
- Develop & Manage Installed Base data, use it to identify opportunities with Commercial team
- Support interface with central operations and engineering teams for technical priority management
- Be an active contributor to Customer Complaints (ACT or equivalent) solving
- Lead EHS/Safety actions and performance: be fully compliant with GE rules and processes, ensure engineering teams (own and subcontracted) are properly trained and holders of required qualifications when required. Lead to EHS monitoring actions, perform HSV
- Follow GE Vernova compliance Policies ('The Spirit and The Letter') and promote open reporting
- Act as chief operating officer in compliance with engineering regulatory bodies (e.g. APEGA)
- Support Commercial team by return of experience, optimizing engineering costs & deliveries
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
- Bachelor of Engineering degree from an accredited university or college.
- Engineering and Business knowledge, with mandatory experience in Automation activities
- Min 8 years of experience in Electricity and Automation engineering
- Knowledge of Electricity Transmission, Distribution & Industrial markets
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of network communication protocols including; Modbus, OPC (DA, AE, UA), DNP3, IEC61850 etc.
- Knowledge of cyber asset protection regulations effecting the utilities industry including; NERC CIP, NIST
- Capability to manage & motivate an engineering team
- Autonomy & Rigor
- Fully fluent in English
- Willingness to travel 30%

- Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science and P. Eng certification
