Job Duties:
• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery

Job Responsibilities:
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Maintains production and quality by ensuring all production and other mechanical equipment is properly maintained and in peak operating condition.
JOB DUTIES:
- Setup and operate to prescribed tolerances lathes, milling, grinding, drilling, sawing, welding and boring machines.
- Using a variety of industrial equipment, tools and machinery, handles repairs and maintenance of plant production and other related equipment.
- Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds or smells usage; perform troubleshooting for production machinery
- Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conducting scheduled testing as needed.
- Report all findings using eMaint software and tablet.
- Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment
- Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification or installation of machinery
- Keep work area clean and perform all work in a safe manner
- Work effectively with other team members when required
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and tools. Journeyman's papers as an industrial millwright/mechanic. Welding experience in MIG, TIG and stick welding. Industrial machine repair. Grade 12 education or equivalent. CWB (4 position certification). License preferred. Ability to read drawings, blueprints specifications and manuals. High degree of mechanical aptitude and complete understanding of mechanical and electrical procedures. Candidate must be able to read and write English in order to communicate successfully and safely with coworkers. Maintenance mechanic must also have sound computer skills, including knowledge of common software and use.

To complete work orders and general preventative maintenance on all machines. Identifying and troubleshooting machine irregularities and breakdowns, assemble equipment and machinery:

- Machine commissioning on scheduled basis
- Examines and repairs all equipment when required for continuous plant operation
- Makes minor adjustments to and lubricates tools and equipment used
- Performs preventative maintenances on required equipment and scheduled work as required
- Performs 5s related tasks
- Communicate effectively with other team members and maintenance supervisor

The Industrial Mechanic/Millwright is a key role in the Engineering Department reporting to the Design and Manufacturing Manager and is responsible for the development, manufacturing, installation, testing and commissioning of forestry industry equipment. Key Responsibilities
1. Product Development
Contribute to the design process by drawing upon understanding of mechanical systems, industrial equipment and previous industry experience.
Collaborate with stakeholders including engineering team, business development, suppliers, and contractors.

Support prototyping and testing of new equipment designs.

Experience in installation, servicing and fabrication of mechanical systems using relevant equipment, tools, and procedures.
Effective technical knowledge, including the ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving ability.

Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
Valid Class 5 drivers license.
