Job Summary:
The Sign and Lighting Services Installation Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of illuminated signs and lighting systems. This role involves working closely with clients to ensure their requirements are met and installations are carried out safely and efficiently.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Sign Installation:
- Install various types of illuminated signs, including LED, neon, and other lighting systems.
- Read and interpret electrical plans and diagrams for accurate installation.
2. Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform regular checks and preventive maintenance on signs and lighting systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions in existing installations.
3. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and local regulations.
- Use personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols.
4. Customer Service:
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide technical advice.
- Deliver high-quality service and address customer questions or concerns.
5. Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs and maintenance.
- Prepare reports on the condition of installations and recommend improvements if necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in electricity, electronics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in the installation and maintenance of illuminated signs is an asset.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and safety standards.
- Ability to work at heights and use lifting equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license.
Desired Skills:
- Attention to detail and ability to solve technical problems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours if necessary.
- Drivers license class 3 would be an asset

We specialize in plumbing and hydronic heating systems in both the residential and commercial sectors throughout the Greater Montreal area.
What you’ll do
As part of our team, your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing and installing hydronic heating systems (electric or natural gas boilers)
- Diagnosing system issues and malfunctions
- Repairing or replacing system components such as pumps, pressure regulators, expansion tanks, piping, etc.
- Providing clear diagnoses and recommending modifications to improve system efficiency and performance
- Following up with clients, suppliers, and the office as needed
- Collaborating with the team to maintain a positive and productive work environment
What we’re looking for
- Licensed plumber or pipefitter with valid certification
- Experience in heating system service and/or installation
- Strong diagnostic skills and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
Work conditions
- Daytime schedule, Monday to Friday
- Occasional evening or weekend work for specific projects
- Salary and overtime in accordance with collective agreements
- Well-equipped company vehicle provided
- Travel allowance for distant job sites
