POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Instrumentation & Control Engineer to support the design, development, and execution of control and instrumentation systems across a range of oil & gas and industrial projects. This role is well-suited for professionals at various levels of experience who demonstrate strong technical capability, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will contribute to the design of instrumentation systems, the development of control documentation (such as control narratives and shutdown keys), and provide support throughout the project lifecycle. This position offers the opportunity to progressively take ownership of controls work from senior engineers, with increasing autonomy based on experience and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications Education

What We're Looking For

The Lead Instrumentation & Control Engineer oversees a team responsible for designing various aspects of energy industry projects from inception to completion. Key responsibilities include:

• Project Planning and Management:
  • Develop and manage scopes of work, man-hour estimates, schedules, and priorities for projects or proposals.
  • Plan, allocate, and review work programs, ensuring alignment with project demands and timely updates to Vista’s platforms (e.g., ForecastWeb).

• Technical Expertise and Design Oversight:

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in engineering or applied science.
• Ability to work and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers including process, mechanical, civil, structural & architectural, electrical, instrumentation & controls and piping.
• P.Eng. registration with APEGA.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
