Responsibilities

- Work with lawyers, marketing and finance to draft the financial and pricing responses to client RFP submissions

- Collaborate with the senior leadership team, lawyers, Finance, Business Analytics, Marketing, and IT, as required

- Implement a set of best practices and processes that can be used to drive ongoing pricing improvements
Required Knowledge and Experience
- 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role at a Director level, preferably within a professional services firm
- +5 years’ strategic pricing experience in a professional services role
- Executive level expertise in pricing strategy and execution, change management, and client management & development
- Have the drive and motivation to learn and get into the details to build out your strategies
- Excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to persuade, communicate vision and motivate people at every level, cooperative working style
- Ability to manipulate data effectively and present findings to stakeholders
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare concise reports to assist management in making pricing-related decisions and making risk assessments
- Excellent project and time management skills; ability to efficiently manage a variety of concurrent projects and handle conflicting priorities while meeting deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- High level of proficiency in MS office, experience working with Excel and other databases, preferably with SQL

THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Business Analyst, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing our fully customizable Enterprise Insurance Management Platform with our property & casualty (P&C) insurance clients. This role will be involved in evaluating and implementing standard business practices along with the elicitation of unique customer requirements. The ideal candidate for this role has experience in the insurance industry with a passion for technology.
This is a full-time 12-month contract position that can be performed from our office in London, Ontario or remotely within Canada. Remote-based employees may occasionally be asked to travel to our office for meetings or team-building events and to client sites.
Responsibilities
- Deliver product solutions to the client by assisting clients in implementing the companys products, ensuring that the client has a positive user experience of the product
- Evaluate the business practices of the clients and identify areas for aligning business practices with system functionality
- Identify through elicitation, documentation and requirements gathering, solution options to meet the clients business needs
- Work with the project manager to execute and successfully complete the project plan on time
- Perform data analysis on client data as part of the implementation to integrate with system validations in the product solution
- Provide prompt solutions to user questions and issues
- Provide training and end user product support to clients
- Execute the companys implementation roadmap by ensuring implementation projects are started as planned and successfully completed
- Participate in User and Focus Group meetings, as required
- Develop Implementation approach, plans and related documentation as new system areas are developed and require implementation
- Ability to travel to client sites, as required
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- A University Degree or College Diploma in a related field
- Experience with systems and processes in the P&C insurance industry (mutual, stock company)
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong team orientation, both internally and externally
- Elicitation, documentation and requirements gathering skills
- Facilitation skills
- Positive customer service skills, including sales and marketing
Nice to Have

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing Science, Economics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Business and /or Statistics. The Pricing Analyst reports to the Director of Pricing. He/She, plays a critical role in supporting and implementing improvement initiatives focused on the company's Gross Margin and Pricing objectives. They are tasked with reviewing and maintaining these programs continuously to ensure that the company achieves or surpasses the budgeted margin targets for sales. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The Pricing Analyst indirectly supervises pricing activities across the Business Units. While they do not have direct supervisory control over the sales force, they are responsible for offering support and guidance through business strategies related to customer accounts. All duties are executed in adherence to company policies and applicable regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Work with both internal and external stakeholders to develop, communicate, drive the vision, strategy of processes and support implementation of technology roadmap for the pricing team * Create business intelligence, dashboards, visualizations, and/or other advanced analytical reports to tell the business narrative and offer recommendations to all levels of Management * Conduct Competitive Pricing analysis, review annual micro-segmentation and continues to execute standardized pricing practices to the divisions. * Facilitate the identification, understanding, and improvement of process issues by using appropriate quantitative and qualitative tools and techniques * Demonstrates prominent leadership through an open-minded and adaptable approach, driving continuous enhancement in Gross Margin and Pricing strategies * Ensures proper application of company policies/procedures and safeguarding of all fixed assets. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing Science, Economics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Business and /or Statistics.
