Location: Lake City Way Warehouse, Burnaby, BC, Canada
Core hours: Monday to Friday from 8am – 4:30pm PST
Onsite Role: This position is required to be onsite 5 days a week
Role Summary
The Inventory Planner analyzes and corrects discrepancies, thereby improving inventory accuracy and enhancing the efficiency of inventory movement across multiple warehouses. Partnering with the Inventory Planning Specialist, this position is responsible for correcting immediate inventory issues in a timely manner while also continually improving the overall inventory process. This role combines heavy Microsoft Excel analysis, collaborative action planning, and hands-on implementation.
Responsibilities
- Perform Daily Cycle Counts
- First point of contact for the Inventory Team
- Act as liaison between Assembly and the Warehouse to ensure internal component and product needs are communicated and appropriate actions are taken
- Ensure all inventory adjustments are accurate and timely
- Analyze, share and collaborate to eliminate root causes for inventory inaccuracy
- Review and correct negative quantities
- Respond same day to US Low/Outs and direct other teams to take appropriate action either by WO creation or transfer
- Maintain the proper balance of inventory in each warehouse
- Allocate inbound products and components to their correct location - vendor splits
- Generate Transfer Documentation required for US and Canadian Customs
- Control all stock transfers, including SBT, Fillers, upstairs overstock and off-site warehouses
- Provide the SBT Pull List to the warehouse team
- Assist in the preparation of all NBT paperwork and inventory movement
- Monitor and take action on holds and alerts in both warehouses
- Monitor ROF daily and in a timely manner to ensure all SLAs to the company are met
- Utilize WOMBAT, work order system, for all production and assembly needs
- Create and communicate pre-launch needs to necessary departments in a timely manner
- Prepare pallets and assist in the layout of the Canadian pick shelves with particular attention to new launch items
- Bin Location Audits, and bin location space planning, which includes labelling
- Working alongside our Receiving Teams to help unload shipments as required
- Working with PD/QC as an Inventory Point of Contact for all new or refined SKUs
- Assist in coverage for the Assembly Inventory Clerks and Receivers are required
- Develop audit tools to monitor the FIFO rotation of all products with an expiration date in both warehouses
- Education and certification (or working towards a certification) in Supply Chain/Operations Management preferred
- Experience working in a Supply Chain environment - 2-3 years, preferred
- Experience in a similar Inventory role - 2 years
- ERP system experience within a Supply Chain environment - hands-on experience with ACCPAC and WHMS is an asset
- Previous experience with bills of material and manufacturing software required
- Applied knowledge of MS Excel essential - (formulas including but not limited to SUMIF, COUNTIF, VLOOKUP and familiarity with Pivot Tables)
- Knowledge of MS Access is an asset
- An understanding of inventory in a manufacturing environment
- Forklift Certification would be preferred

**Position Summary**
We are looking for a Supply Chain Intern based at our Brampton location for the months of May 2026 to August 2026. This role will be responsible for both working on a dedicated Nestlé Business Excellence project(s) for the term of your internship and a day-to-day role within the team. You will gain valuable practical knowledge and experience in various functional aspects of Supply Chain depending on the project focus area, including Demand and Supply Planning, Logistics Operations, Procurement, Customer Supply Chain, and Order to Cash Operations.
**A day in the life of a Supply Chain Intern**
As a Supply Chain Intern, you will be working cross-functionally, focusing on different parts of the value chain to drive out waste and make recommendations on improved ways of working. You will also work on digitalizing the supply chain using lean methodology and close collaboration between different supply chain functional areas.
You will:
+ Work on projects that include learning new tools and platforms - Azure, Power BI, SAS, SAP, etc.
+ Communicate and influence the decision makers through effective story telling
+ Collaborate across our Supply Chain: Demand and Supply Planning, Logistics Operations, Procurement, Customer Supply Chain, and Order to Cash Operations.
+ Collaborate and gather input from stakeholders spanning beyond the supply chain organization
+ Adapt to various styles and self-learning with emphasis on creative ways to find relevant information through various sources
+ Develop a broad network at multiple levels in the organization
**What will make you successful?**
As the successful candidate, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be passionate, results-focused, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a highly analytical and project-focused position. Additionally, you are a fast learner and must be comfortable working within a dynamic, fast-paced, challenging environment.
You will also:
+ Be currently enrolled in a university or post-graduate program in either Industrial Engineering or with a major/concentration in Supply Chain.
+ Be able to work with large data sets and select criteria for scenario building options.
+ Having previous supply chain experience is an asset, but not mandatory.
+ Be involved in extracurricular activities which demonstrate initiative and leadership.
+ Be results and detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
+ Have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
+ Experience in Power BI is considered an asset.
+ Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Provide support to the Supply Chain Management team on various matters.
+ Purchase indirect materials and services as needed.
+ Receive, ship and track incoming and outgoing materials.
+ Maintain an accurage and up to date operations inventory record.
+ Handle the RMA process.
+ Perform appropriate duties as assigned.
**REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline, Supply Chain discipline is strongly preferred.
+ 3+ years of experience in Production Control, Planning or Procurement/Buying.
+ Experience in the Electronic Manufacturing Industry.
+ Solid experience in Microsoft Business Central.
+ Proficient in MS Office Suite products or similar software.
+ Proficiency in MRP and Demand Planning a plus.
+ Ability to carry over 50lbs.
+ Strong multitasking, prioritizing, and organizing skills.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ The ability to work under pressure and independently.
