About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading Toronto-based healthcare organization, is seeking a Senior Financial Consultant to join their Financial Reporting team for a 12-month maternity leave contract. Reporting to the Manager of Accounting & Compliance, this role plays a key part in preparing financial statements, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting high-profile audit and regulatory reporting projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end and quarter-end close
- Assist in finalizing year-end financial statements and responding to external auditor requests
- Complete provincial financial consolidations and reporting for regulatory submissions
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes related to the balance sheet
- Use tools such as SAP, Adaptiv, and Excel (including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs) for reporting

- Assist in the development and implementation of financial plans and strategies.

- Monitor financial market trends to ensure that plans are effective and identify any necessary updates or adjustments.
- Prepare reports on client accounts and create presentations for client meetings.
- Collaborate with wealth managers and other financial professionals to ensure clients receive comprehensive financial advice.
- Handle administrative duties such as managing client information, processing paperwork, and coordinating with different departments.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay current with industry standards and trends.
- Provide administrative support as needed.

- Post Secondary education in related field.
- Relevant financial licenses (CSC, CPH, CIM, CFP).
- Proven experience in wealth management or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage multiple work flows simultaneously.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
