Job Summary

As a Governance, Risk and Compliance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in helping the organization maintain secure systems and processes while adhering to regulations and industry standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in conducting security assessments, developing and implementing policies, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities


  • Support and assist the GRC Manager in conducting external audits, including but not limited to SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO27001 assurance engagements.
  • Responsible for the examination and analysis of internal controls and business risks by performing IT audit work, developing audit scope, performing audit procedures, assessing potential gaps, designing remediation plans, and preparing audit reports.
  • Conduct period threat and risk assessment, security and privacy reviews and ad hoc compliance-specific reviews.
  • Plan, monitor and conduct testing of the current controls stack
  • Report on the results of these assessments, assist in designing the remediation plans for potential gaps.
  • Identify additional opportunities for businesses to enhance their information security and privacy posture.
  • Deliver security risk management engagements supported by leading practices like ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST 800-53, CCPA for data privacy, and relevant risk management frameworks.
  • Support management in engagement planning and management processes.
  • Create, implement, and maintain the information security policies and procedures. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices such as ISO27001.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure policies are effectively updated, communicated and adhered to across the organization.
  • Assist in preparing reports for senior management and department heads.
  • Work with various teams and management from HR, IT, Legal and Engineering departments to align security initiatives with business objectives.


Salary: $75,000 - $85,000/yr

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in IT auditing, including general IT controls, IT application controls testing, IT internal audit, and data analytics.
  • Experience with SOC 2 & ISO 27001 or relevant frameworks is a MUST. Exposure with GovRAMP, TxRAMP or CJIS is good to have.
  • Exposure to privacy compliance as per CCPA is good to have.
  • Experience with GRC tools such as AuditSource or Drata is good to have.
  • Deep understanding of information security principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance frameworks.

As a key member of the Data Services team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our MDM environment, and the implementation of scalable data governance practices.

This role combines hands-on MDM tool administration with strategic governance responsibilities to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and trustworthiness of enterprise data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

MDM Administration

  • Administer and enhance the Semarchy xDM platform, including data modeling, match/merge rule configuration, survivorship logic, and workflow design
  • Maintain and monitor the performance, integrity, and reliability of the MDM environment
  • Lead MDM implementation activities across new domains and business units
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering team to connect MDM with the ERP, CRM, and analytics platforms
  • Troubleshoot and resolve MDM issues; maintain platform documentation and metadata
  • Provide input into MDM architecture, version upgrades, and environment planning
  • Experience with other MDM tools such as Informatica MDM, Reltio, SAP MDG, or Oracle MDM is a strong asset

Data Governance

  • Define and implement data governance policies, standards, and stewardship models
  • Configure and manage our data catalog and governance tool (Secoda) to support metadata management, business glossary, and data lineage
  • Support enterprise data quality initiatives by establishing monitoring and reporting frameworks
  • Engage with business and technical stakeholders to assign data ownership and ensure accountability
  • Provide training and support to data stewards and users across departments
  • Promote data literacy, consistency, and transparency through stewardship enablement
  • Familiarity with other data governance and catalog platforms such as Collibra, Alation, Atlan, or Microsoft Purview is preferred

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in MDM, data governance, or enterprise data management roles
  • Hands-on experience with Semarchy xDM or similar MDM tools
  • Experience administering or configuring Secoda or other modern governance platforms
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills
  • Experience with ERP and CRM platforms, particularly in relation to master data
  • Deep understanding of data quality, stewardship, metadata, and governance frameworks
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across both technical and business teams

Reporting to the Data Enablement Manager, the Data Governance Analyst will serve as a liaison between data governance teams and data stewards across departments to ensure consistent application of data governance policies and practices.

Data Stewardship Liaison, Policy, and Compliance Support:  

  • Act as a key Liaison and serve as a central point of contact for all governance-related communications.

What you bring:  

  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fields, with a focus on data quality, policy implementation, and compliance

  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role managing teams of data stewards or data governance professionals
  • Proven experience with data quality frameworks, data governance principles, and metadata management

We are seeking a Data Governance Specialist to lead the development and administration of our Master Data Management (MDM) platform and drive our enterprise data governance program. As a key member of the Data Services team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our MDM environment, and the implementation of scalable data governance practices.

This role combines hands-on MDM tool administration with strategic governance responsibilities to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and trustworthiness of enterprise data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

MDM Administration

  • Administer and enhance the Semarchy xDM platform, including data modeling, match/merge rule configuration, survivorship logic, and workflow design
  • Maintain and monitor the performance, integrity, and reliability of the MDM environment
  • Lead MDM implementation activities across new domains and business units
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering team to connect MDM with the ERP, CRM, and analytics platforms
  • Troubleshoot and resolve MDM issues; maintain platform documentation and metadata
  • Provide input into MDM architecture, version upgrades, and environment planning
  • Experience with other MDM tools such as Informatica MDM, Reltio, SAP MDG, or Oracle MDM is a strong asset

Data Governance

  • Define and implement data governance policies, standards, and stewardship models
  • Configure and manage our data catalog and governance tool (Secoda) to support metadata management, business glossary, and data lineage
  • Support enterprise data quality initiatives by establishing monitoring and reporting frameworks
  • Engage with business and technical stakeholders to assign data ownership and ensure accountability
  • Provide training and support to data stewards and users across departments
  • Promote data literacy, consistency, and transparency through stewardship enablement
  • Familiarity with other data governance and catalog platforms such as Collibra, Alation, Atlan, or Microsoft Purview is preferred

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in MDM, data governance, or enterprise data management roles
  • Hands-on experience with Semarchy xDM or similar MDM tools
  • Experience administering or configuring Secoda or other modern governance platforms
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills
  • Experience with ERP and CRM platforms, particularly in relation to master data
  • Deep understanding of data quality, stewardship, metadata, and governance frameworks
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across both technical and business teams
