Social Media Manager / Digital Campaigner Summary: We are looking for a savvy Social Media Manager with a proven track record to design and implement our online outreach across various platforms. Description: Social Media Manager Salary: $45-50,000/yr The Ontario Clean Air Alliance, a registered charity, led the successful campaign to phase-out Ontario’s five dirty coal-fired power plants. We are now working to move Ontario towards a 100% renewable energy future through an integrated combination of energy conservation and efficiency, cost-effective made-in-Ontario green energy, and energy cooperation with Hydro Quebec. Working alongside our small team, this position will play an important role in communicating our news and issues to the public and building support for our campaigns. Our office is downtown Toronto, but communications staff have the option to work remotely. Candidates should have a good understanding of Ontario politics and geography. Skills: - Strong graphic design skills, and ability to use photo and video editing software (please list programs you are familiar with).   • 5+ years of experience in a Digital Strategist role, preferably in a digital or marketing agency
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in information sciences, sociological studies, or any related field

    Responsible to Member for:

    Dealing with enquiries and solving problems and advocating for constituents (casework).
    Contacting and responding to constituents by telephone, writing and in person.
    Contacting senior government personnel, officials from outside organizations, and local government.
    Preparing all documentation related to casework.
    Travel throughout the Riding to perform outreach, casework and event planning.
    Other related duties as assigned by the Member.


    Qualifications:

    Strong knowledge and proficient skills in communication and digital media including photography, and video filming and editing skills utilizing suites like Final Cut Pro, Adobe suites.
    Knowledge of the NDP and the Canadian labour movement, Canadian government, Ontario government and public affairs
    Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Equity and Diversity frameworks and considerations and how it applies to the duties of the position.
    Ability to excellently write articles and reports, to meet deadlines, produce accurate work and maintain organized records.
    Ability to advocate effectively on behalf of the Members constituents.
    Excellent knowledge of social media skills and associated best practices including Twitter, Facebook, Mailchimp, etc.

    Job Description

    Our corporate client is looking for a Digital Designer to join their team for 3+ months, high chance of longterm extension. It will be fulltime hours per week and flexible onsite hybrid (can be remote, if needed).


    Main accountabilities:

    • You will be designing wireframes and mockups, email campaigns (design and build), campaign landing pages and web forms (design and build), web banners, social media images, interactive PDFs and video storyboarding and editing.
    • Provide consultation, design and development to wireframes, HTML email campaigns and web landing pages, while keeping the user journey and analytics accounted for.
    • You will design and execute video projects from end-to-end including consulting, storyboarding, video production, animation, post-production, partnering with agencies, archiving files and managing content update requests.
    • Supporting the design team with print related projects when needed.

    Capabilities:

    • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Acrobat) on Mac OS.
    • Experience with responsive digital design and front-end development of landing pages and web forms.
    • Experience with HTML email design
    • Experience using an HTML email testing platform to effectively preview and debug code (Litmus).


    Required qualifications:

    • Post-secondary education, including completion of a graphic or web design program at a recognized college; or an undergraduate degree in a related discipline.
    • 3 or more years of experience in digital graphic design.
    • Experience working in a creative design agency setting.
